Capcom's Working Hard To Bring 'Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom' Stateside

Okay, so the SEGA Vs. Capcom rumor turned out to be a dud (at least, for now...), but we may be getting the next best thing: "Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom" (Rockman Trigger and Roll chan included).

According to Capcom's own Seth Killian, Capcom is hard at work trying to bring TvC stateside:

“I am personally very excited for Tatsunoko Vs Capcom, even to the point where I begged R+D to let us play it at EVO last year, if only for a few days. It’s not up to either of us but I will make sure Capcom knows this game would have a warm reception in the West should we be able to defeat that evil-est of Robot Masters: Legal Licensing Issue Man.”

Good to know. However, I am very curious as to how Capcom will jump over the legality hurdles; Tatsunoko character rights are all over the place in the US. Will they manage to buy them all up and defeat "Legal Licensing Issue Man?" One can only hope.

  6. Legal Licensing Issues Man is just like Airman, it just can't be defeated.

Well, at least lets be glad it's not Shonen Jump VS Capcom, now THAT is something that would have 0% chance of being localized.

  7. Yes, that better get here, so I don't have to import them. At least this won't be a big license issues than the Jump crossover games. It's a good choice for Capcom to choose that anime studio, but what is even better is Sunrise, which is another anime studio for Sunrise vs. Capcom, and when it gets here for licensing issues, it'll solve the problem much easier than any anime studio, because Sunrise original anime creations, not the anime adaptations, were all licensed here by Bandai Entertainment.
