Rockman-san Chapter 10 Now Available

Last time on Rockman-san, Rock and Roll went to visit Wood Man. As the substitute of a temple's sacred tree, Wood Man became a figure of adoration... if not, a god.

Now, this week's guest star is none other than Star Man! He's apparently returned to earth after two years working aboard of an orbital station.

If this sounds to your liking, you can check the chapter here!

Mega Man Legends 2's Soundtrack is Coming to Vinyl & Cassette!

The headline for this one speaks for itself, really. Mega Man Legends fans will soon be able to pick up Mega Man Legends 2's fantastic soundtrack on vinyl or audio cassette thanks to Ship to Shore PhonoCo.!

Both formats will be available to pre-order tomorrow, September 28th, at 2pm EST from Ship to Shore's online store. Supply will be limited so bookmark that link ASAP! I do want to note, though, that there's a strong possibility other outlets will carry both formats, too. That was the case with the Legends 1 vinyl. We'll have to wait and see.

That aside, this is great news! I mean, this will be the very first time that the Mega Man Legends 2 OST will be sold in a physical format. The Capcom Special Selection CD from 2009 only contained 17 tracks. That's nothing. So, again, we're in for a real treat here.

Rockman EXE 20th Anniversary: Special Interview with Ryo Takamisaki

We're six months into Rockman EXE's 20th anniversary. Although we continue to wait for additional, special announcements, the past half year hasn't gone entirely eventless.

From the release of the Rockman EXE 20th Anniversary "Treasure Box", the collaboration with Medarot S and new goods already on sale, there's been plenty of smaller things to look forward to.

But now, instead of looking to the future we're taking a look into the series' past. For your consideration, we're pleased to bring you an freshly-translated interview between Coro Coro Online and Ryo Takamisaki from March 2021. Takamisaki needs no introduction... but for those not in-the-know, he's the mangaka behaind the Rockman EXE manga and the Rockman 11 One-Shot.

We Have Secured "Rockman DASH: Great Adventure on 5 Islands!"

Earlier this year, our preservation team secured Rockman EXE Phantom of Network and Rockman EXE Legend of Network. Those games were exclusively released in Japan on feature phones (otherwise known as “dumb phones") in 2004 and 2006, respectively.

Although that project remains ongoing, we're excited to announce that we've acquired another highly-sought after feature phone game. The little Mega Man Legends spin-off itself, Rockman DASH: Great Adventure on 5 Islands!

The following guest post by team leader RockmanCosmo will tell you everything you need to know about the"adventure" ahead.

"ROCKMAN ZERO COLLECTION SOUNDTRACK -résonnante vie-" Booklet Translation

Released back in 2011 alongside the "NEW Best Price! 2000" edition of the Rockman Zero Collection, rĂ©sonnant vie is packed with a selection of 13 acoustic arrangements  from the Zero series. What's more, it was the final Rockman CD distributed by Inti Creates.

This album is a "sound remake" of Rockman Zero's setting. It's based on the paradoxical concept of arranging songs from the mechanical world of Rockman Zero using mainly non-powered live instruments. It re-expresses the strength and mystique of life, such as the concept of a "soul" and the core as a "life-form" that Reploids have acquired despite being mere "machines".

Thanks to our friend Windii Gitlord, you can read the soundtrack's booklet in English after the break!

"Sacred God Wood Man" Stars in Rockman-san Chapter 9

In the previous Rockman-san chapter, we witnessed the arrival of Enker -- the only robot to oppose robot disarmament. In a world of peace, Enker simply couldn't move on with his life. Born as a "Rockman Killer", he continues to seek out and fight Rockman because that's his only reason to live.

Eventually, Rockman and Roll offered to help Enker find a new purpose. But after three hours of brainstorming, they couldn't come up with anything worthwhile. Enker decides to resume his fight with Rockman... that's where that story arc ended. For now, maybe.

The latest Rockman-san chapter focuses entirely on Wood Man. In the years following Dr. Wily's retirement, Wood Man became a replacement for a temple's sacred tree. However, he's worried about how to properly fulfill the duties of a god without the omniscience of an actual god.

You can check the new chapter here!

We have a sizeable progress update on the Rockman EXE: Phantom of Network and Rockman EXE: Legend of Network preservation project that began in January. A lot has happened between now and then; we're here to get you up to speed.

Read on for the full scoop... and how you can help!

"REMASTERED TRACKS ROCKMAN ZERO Mythos" Booklet Translation

Released back in 2010 to celebrate the launch of Rockman Zero Collection for Nintendo DS, REMASTERED TRACKS ROCKMAN ZERO Mythos came packed with remixes from the series and a new track composed for the collection..

The album contained a hidden track (Cannon Ball - Mythos Ver.) and a vocal version of Rockman Zero 3 staff roll “Everlasting Red” sung by Toru Itoga. That's a name that may sound familiar to some of you; he sang for other CD releases from REMASTERED TRACKS ROCKMAN ZERO Idea (Clover) and ZXA Tunes (Mirai e Tsuzuku Kaze) to Rockman 10 Image Soundtrack (Last Exit and One And Only).

Toru Nakayama returned to illustrate the cover art, too. It was a striking, futuristic take on Zero's original design which inspired countless fan-arts over the years. There's even been a few custom figures and model kits too.

There's a lot to appreciate about Mythos. And now, eleven years later, we can read the booklet in English, translated by our friend Sidier. Read on for the goods!

Marvel vs Capcom "Head-to-Head" Arcade Table Up for Pre-Order

Arcade1Up's latest batch of machines are live. Chief among them, a new "Head-to-Head" Marvel vs Capcom arcade table

According to the product description, it comes pre-loaded with eight Capcom VS titles: Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, X-Men: Children of the Atom, X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse, Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems, and The Punisher. Phew!

The machine stands at 29-inches tall and features a clear cover top. It's primed and ready to be soiled with pizza grease and soda. You know, for that real authentic arcade experience. The whole package will set you back a staggering $699.99, though.

While I appreciate Arcade1Up's efforts to get these legacy titles back in the public sphere, Capcom and Marvel desperately need to get 'em up on consoles/PC. It'll be far more economical on everyone's wallet! Until then... start saving?

Mega Man 11 Announced for Amazon Luna

Amazon Luna, the company's ever-growing cloud-gaming platform, just got "mega-fied". Mega Man 11 is now available to play on the Luna+ Channel with early access. Subscriptions start at $5.99.

The footage above isn't from the Luna version, FYI. Early impressions suggest that the game runs as well as its console/PC counterparts. Barring a decent internet connection, it sounds promising.

With 1.4 million units under its belt, Mega Man 11 is on its way to becoming one of the franchise's best selling titles. The jump to Amazon Luna only furthers Capcom's evergreen strategy, which aims to maximize Mega Man 11's audience and profitability. This approach has proven successful enough; seemingly replacing the franchise's reliance on a yearly "core" entry to retain profit.

A brand-new, "major" Mega Man title is expected to launch between Q3-Q4 2022.

Review: Kotobukiya Mega Man X Fourth Armor

Since it began in 2019, Kotobukiya’s Mega Man X kits have been a really fun line to collect. When they first announced that they were developing the Max Armor (i.e “Third Armor”), I knew this line was going to be special.

So with my favorite X Armor under their belt, what did Kotobukiya do next? Why, my second favorite armor -- the Force Armor (or Fourth Armor) of course! And, really, I was completely blown away. Not only did Kotobukiya have the same taste as me, but the build quality continued to be amazing. Check out my review after the break!

"Super Rush Man" Returns in Rockman-chan Chapter 10

In the previous Rockman-chan chapter, Forte crashed Dr. Light's early Christmas/New Year celebrations and effortlessly defeated V·K Man. He also survived Dr. Light's plan to knock him out using the "anyone can be Beat" helmet, transformed into Super Forte in anger, and began to fight Rockman.

Fast forward to this week's episode... the battle continues! Rockman transforms into Super Rockman!... but, once again, Rush overrides Rockman's consciousness, transforming into Super Rush Man!

You can read the chapter here!

A Closer Look at Unreleased Ruby-Spears Mega Man Toys

Daniel "Protoman"Arseneault of the Mega Man/Rockman Toys & Merchandise Facebook group has passed along a fun bit of history. It's a Japanese magazine clipping showing off a handful of unreleased Mega Man toys from Bandai's Ruby-Spears line!

A low-res version of this page appeared on Joey's Mega Man Corner decades ago. However, Daniel scanned it in a much higher resolution and even translated it! We get a good look and descriptions for the unreleased Stealth Mega Man, Sky Mega Man, and Dive Mega Man figures. The Deluxe Mega Man and the Land Blazer vehicles are here, too. I don't believe it was ever confirmed that the later could "transform." Neat!

Although it isn't uncommon for sample or pre-production Mega Man toys to pop up online, these particular products have yet to be found. A few  showed up at the 1995 Toy Fair and... that was that. So until they're found in a dusty warehouse or something, this clipping is all we got.

Check out the Mega Man/Rockman Toys & Merchandise Club for more rare goodies!

"Star Force Mega Man" and "Harp Note" Join Rockman X DiVE

Rockman X DiVE "DiVE Armor X" Early Designs and Concept Art

Released earlier this week, the new S rank DiVE Armor X is an original character whose origins can be traced back to the level 70 armor set from 2020. With its cool, sprawling holographic wings, the armor inspiried a wave of fan-art almost instantaneously. It quickly became a fan-favorite.

Yesterday, the development team shared early designs and concept art from Keisuke Mizuno in the latest  Maverick Information video entry. And today, by way of the Official Facebook Page, we have an even better look at those design sheets! There's even a small interview with Keisuke Mizuno itself, too.

See and read all about it below!

Rush is (Probably) Coming to Monster Hunter Rise Soon

Oh, we had a feeling something like this was coming. I mean, the first time I saw a Palamute I kinda figured that, eventually, there would be a Rush skin. That time may be upon us soon -- very soon!

"Enker" Shows His Face in Rockman-san Chapter 8

Previously on Rockman-san, Bomb Man was hired to set a bomb in a mine. However, out of habit, he threw multiple bombs, injuring several miners in the process. He was fired. Then, he tried to become a professional bowler. That didn't work out either: he accidentally tossed a bomb instead of a bowling ball.

If all that wasn't unfortunate enough, he challenged the national dodgeball team but ended up injuring everyone with, what else, bombs. Bomb Man theorized, perhaps, he could find peace by going "dynamite fishing". Rockman warned him that's a forbidden practice worldwide. In the end Bombe Man settles on working under a highly skilled master craftsmen, destroying his flawed products.

With Bomb Man at pace, the good doctor has another "patient" in chapter 8: Enker of Rockman World fame! Plus, there's special cameos from Rockman 10's Nitro Man and Blade Man.

You can read the full (untranslated) chapter here!

"Capcom vs. Osamu Tezuka Characters" Exhibit Returns with New Artwork

The Capcom vs. Osamu Tezuka Characters Art Exhibit, which originally ran last fall through early 2021, is back! And this time, the exhibit is moving to a new, more accessible location. It's leaving the famed Tezuka Osamu Manga Museum in Hyogo prefecture to Tokyo.

NebulaJoy Associate Addresses Mega Man X DiVE Global Version Concerns

It's been a rough couple weeks for NebulaJoy, developers of Mega Man X DiVE's global version. Ever since the August 16 launch, players have been exposed to misleading advertisments, poor social media communication, and numerous in-game bugs and errors. Things just aren't working out.

However, in an act of transparency, a customer service representative addressed these concerns (and other topics of lingering interest) during a Discord voice chat Q&A session.

You can the transcript after the break below!
