Unreleased Ruby-Spears Mega Man Plushies Discovered

We've seen a handful of unreleased merchandise from the Ruby-Spears Mega Man animated series over the years, but none quite so... cute.

A 1995 Bandai America sales pamphlet has surfaced showing off a series of seemingly unreleased plushies based on Mega Man, Rush, Proto Man and Cut Man. The plushies were produced by Bandai, who held the primary merchandise license for the show, and would have stood 7 inches tall.

Although there's no evidence that these ever made it to retail, it's worth pointing out that development appears to have progressed far enough for product samples to be photographed. The line even had its own UPC and shipping specs, suggesting they were being prepped for wholesale orders.

So who knows? Maybe a few of these little guys are sitting in a warehouse somewhere, waiting to be discovered. Stranger things have happened. You can check out some other unreleased and rare Ruby-Spears Mega Man material in the archive!

Mega Man: Dual Override Demo & Panel Confirmed for TwitchCon in November

Another month, another opportunity to play Mega Man: Dual Override! Capcom USA has announced that a playable demo of the game will be available to attendees of TwitchCon San Diego from November 13th through the 15th. The contents of the demo have not been disclosed.

What's more, Capcom has also announced a Dual Override panel for November 15th. What exactly will be shown is anyone's guess, but if the recent trend of monthly Robot Master reveals is anything to go by, we might just see the next bot unveiled at the show.

We'll keep an ear out.

Mega Man Soccer Rated in Korea

Having long been overlooked in past collections, Mega Man Soccer may finally be heading to modern platforms.

The Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea has rated dozens of classic NES and SNES Capcom games, including Mega Man Soccer. The game appeared alongside several other newly rated Mega Man titles, including Mega Man 1–5 and Mega Man X.

Because these games have been rated individually, it stands to reason that they may be released separately in some form rather than as part of a traditional compilation. One possibility is that Capcom is preparing something akin to Capcom Arcade Stadium, where individual games could be purchased as DLC. If that's the case, Mega Man Soccer could be one of them.

Of course, nothing has been officially announced just yet, so it's anyone's guess what Capcom has planned. Hopefully, we won't have to wait too long for this mystery to be solved.

Here's the Full Mega Man: Dual Override Title Theme

The NFC-enabled Mega Man and Proto Man keychains we talked about a few months ago are now available in Japan. When scanned, they let you take pictures with the boys while music from Dual Override plays on a loop.

As it turns out, that music is the full, unedited title theme, which we've only heard in bits and pieces until now. You can give it a listen here!

The rip comes courtesy of ChosenFluffy, who owns the Proto Man version of the keychain. I've also been able to confirm that the Mega Man version plays the exact same theme, so there's no difference between the two in that regard.

Enjoy!

Mega Man 11 Is a Prize in McDonald’s Monopoly Golden Edition in Canada

Perhaps as part of Capcom’s ongoing push to get Mega Man in front of bigger audiences, the company has partnered with McDonald’s once again. This time, Mega Man 11 is the only video game up for grabs through McDonald’s Monopoly Golden Edition promotion in Canada.

As of this writing, there are reportedly just 2,437 copies of the game available to win through the McDonald’s app, according to the official game board. It’s unclear which platforms are being offered, or whether the prize is a physical or digital copy.

Capcom previously partnered with McDonald’s Japan in May 2026 for a special updated version of “Can’t Beat Air Man,” created to promote the chain’s premium iced coffee.

Rockman Poker and More Mobile Games Preserved

We have another round of successfully preserved, previously Japan-only Rockman mobile games for you to play. This time, the lineup includes Rockman Poker, a 2005 mobile port of Rockman 3, and a trial version of Rockman X2.

Rockman Poker was uncovered after Penguinstrain went back through GoodTofuFriday’s dump of Midori’s phone, the very same device that provided us with Rockman DASH: Adventure on the 5 Islands. Rockman Poker was overlooked during the original extraction because the scripts being used at the time were still being refined and weren’t catching everything stored on the device.

Also recovered is the 2005 mobile port of Rockman 3, along with a trial version of Rockman X2. The latter is not the full game and only includes the opening stage, but it’s another piece of Capcom’s old Japanese mobile catalog that’s now accessible again.

All three games are playable through the Keitai World Launcher emulator.

Big thanks to RockmanCosmo for the heads up!

Capcom’s Late ’90s Daily Diary Images Have Been Preserved

Back in the late '90s, Capcom's Japanese website hosted a neat little feature called the Capcom Daily Diary.

Running from October 6, 1997 to October 1, 1999, the page was updated by various Capcom staff members with short entries, behind-the-scenes photos and plenty of doodles. The timing is especially interesting for Mega Man fans, as the diary launched during the series' 10th anniversary and overlapped with the development and release of Mega Man Legends, The Misadventures of Tron Bonne and Rockman Complete Works 1~6.

While many of the diary entries can still be read through the Wayback Machine, most of the images that originally accompanied them were not preserved. Thankfully, the images haven't been completely lost to time. A large handful of surviving images from the Capcom Daily Diary were generously donated to Rockman Corner by reader Ravi, and we've put them together in a Drive archive for anyone who wants to browse through them here: the Capcom Daily Diary image archive

There's a lot to dig through here beyond Mega Man, making it a fun little snapshot of Capcom's late '90s crew just doing their thing.  And if anyone recognizes something in these photos, has a little more context to add, or knows of anything we're missing, definitely feel free to reach out.

Is this hardcover release worth the price of admission? Join me after the break to find out!

Fan Project Turns Mega Man Battle Network 6 Into an Endless Roguelike

If you're like me, Battle Network 6 is your favorite game in the series. You know it like the back of your hand. But what if you could take everything you love about it and make it fresh and even unpredictable again?

That's the idea behind Mega Man Battle Network: Cyberworld Endless*. Created by saschb2b, the project gives Battle Network 6 a roguelike twist, generating new Cyberworld layouts with each run. You'll work through increasingly difficult areas, unlock new starting options between runs and see just how far you can push the game's Endless mode. Progress carries over, too, with additional folders, Crosses and other options unlocking over time.

Cyberworld Endless is available on PC, Steam Deck, Android, New Nintendo 3DS and even in your browser. All you need is to supply your own U.S. copy of Cybeast Gregar. You know, one of those ROM things.

*Disclaimer: Portions of this project were developed with the assistance of generative AI tools.

Ishihara, Komaki Talk About Making Mega Man Taller for Dual Override

Back when Mega Man: Dual Override was first revealed, one thing we quickly noticed was how much taller Mega Man looked compared to his appearance in Mega Man 11. Some of us figured it might be a deliberate nod, and maybe even something of a return, to his proportions in Mega Man 8. But was that actually the idea?

Review: Kotobukiya Sigma (Mega Man X Ver.)

Kotobukiya's Mega Man X line continues to expand its character selection beyond just X and Zero. First, we got Axl, followed by Iris, two very popular characters that were long overdue for modern figures.

Now, Kotobukiya is tackling its most ambitious kit yet: Sigma, specifically his appearance from the original Mega Man X.

Was Sigma's first articulated figure worth the wait, or does it buckle under the weight of expectations? After the break, I'll go over everything this kit has to offer.

Hitoshi Ariga Sheds Light on Mega Man’s Split From Comic BomBom

For years, a story has circulated among Japanese fans that Mega Man’s disappearance from Comic BomBom was tied to then-editor-in-chief Shinpachiro Ikeda wanting to move away from the series. But according to Hitoshi Ariga, what happened behind the scenes was a lot more complicated than that.

In a new retrospective, Ariga says the split appears to have come down less to one person and more to growing friction and poor communication between the magazine and Capcom, which came to a head during the development of Mega Man & Bass.

Jet Man Revealed for Mega Man: Dual Override

During the special Mega Man: Dual Override stage presentation at Tokyo Game Show 2026, Capcom revealed a brand-new Robot Master: Jet Man!

The high-flying, transforming Robot Master was shown squaring off against Proto Man in a new trailer. Defeating Jet Man will earn players his Special Weapon, Jet Stinger.

Also teased at the end of the trailer is Mega Man using Astro Crush. According to producer Shingo Izumi, Astro Crush is a Custom Chip obtained by defeating Astro Man R. Returning Robot Masters will reward players with Custom Chips based on their classic Special Weapons.

This post will be updated as more information becomes available.

Another Look at Blokees Champion Class X and Zero

Over the weekend, Blokees held a private event in Japan where fans were invited to check out prototypes of several upcoming kits. Among them were Champion Class X and Zero, giving us an even better look at the pair following their reveal last month.

These new images offer a much clearer look at the finished kits, especially the detailing from the front. Much like the recently released Shooting Star Mega Man and Zero series Zero kits, Blokees is once again putting its own spin on the characters while still staying faithful to their in-game designs.

There’s still no word on a release date, but we’ll keep an ear out.

Mega Man: Dual Override Tokyo Game Show Livestream is Back On

Tokyo Game Show 2026 may be cutting its final day short due to the approaching Typhoon No. 25, but Capcom's Mega Man: Dual Override stage presentation will still go ahead.

So while there won't be a physical stage at TGS on Monday, the 50-minute Dual Override presentation we were expecting is, for now, still happening online. You can watch it live from the video above!

Mega Man: Dual Override Devs Talk Proto Man, Share New Details

Famitsu and 4Gamer had the chance to sit down and chat all things Dual Override with producer Hiroyuki Minamitani, director Shinya Ikuta, and art directors Yuji Ishihara and Shinsuke Komaki. Chief among the topics discussed was Proto Man, whose gameplay demo, while not available to the public, was shown privately to the press.

Between the two interviews, a handful of new and interesting details came to light, which I've summarized below!

Mega Man Adventures #0 and Mega Man: Gear Masters #4 Covers, Solicitation

We've got a double dose of comic book updates today as Lunar Distribution has just posted the covers and solicitation for Mega Man Adventures #0 (aka Chapter 56 in Archie Comics numbering) and Mega Man: Gear Masters #4.

Mega Man: Dual Override Proto Man Play Report + New Screenshots

Tokyo Game Show is underway, and select Japanese press got to go hands-on with Proto Man in Twinkle Girl's stage. While it's unclear if he'll be playable in the public show floor demo, these press sessions offered a much deeper look at how he plays.

Life-Size Aluminum Mega Buster on Display at Tokyo Game Show 2026

There's certainly no shortage of Mega Man: Dual Override collaborations and partnerships, and this one certainly falls under the more unusual.

Another Look at Proto Man's Close-Range Attacks in Dual Override

Capcom's Tokyo Game Show Spotlight has come and gone, and there really wasn't too much in the way of Dual Override updates. Director Shinya Ikuta and producer Hiroyuki Minamitani took center stage to talk a little more about what we've already come to learn about the game. Mixed in with some familiar footage, though, were a few new snippets of Proto Man gameplay. You can watch that portion here.

According to Minamitani, compared to Mega Man, Proto Man deals more damage and focuses more on close-range attacks. His Buster shots have limited range, while charging his weapon allows him to unleash a sweeping blade attack.

Other than that, no major new details were revealed during the Spotlight. However, we may learn more during the game's 50-minute stage event on September 21st.

Pragmata x Mega Man DLC Pack Coming September 17

The previously announced Mega Man DLC for Pragmata is coming soon — very soon. The free DLC will be available starting tomorrow, September 17.

We’ve already seen the Mega Man-inspired costumes for Diana and Hugh, but as revealed during the Capcom Tokyo Game Show Spotlight, the pack will also include skins that recreate Mega Man and Roll as we know them.

The pack will also include new music that can be played in the Shelter, as well as Mega Man-inspired gestures for Diana and Cabin.

Mega Man X: Command Mission Now Available on PS4 and PS5

Mega Man X: Command Mission, the 2004 RPG that has never been re-released in any official capacity, is now available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 for $9.99, or at no additional cost for PlayStation Plus Premium members.

It goes without saying, but this is the PlayStation 2 version of the game, which means the then-console-exclusive Mega Man X8 demo is still intact. As a PS Classic, it does feature a few modern touches, namely upscaled resolution, faster load times and Remote Play. It does not, however, include Trophies.

For non-PlayStation owners, all we can do for now is hope the game eventually makes its way to other platforms. Capcom has previously expressed interest in re-releasing more titles that aren't available on modern hardware, though for the time being, all efforts appear to be focused on Mega Man: Dual Override.

Pragmata x Mega Man Collaboration Goods Revealed

On the heels of yesterday's Diana and Mega Man artwork, Capcom has unveiled a full lineup of Pragmata x Mega Man goods just in time for Tokyo Game Show. The collection includes an acrylic standee, keychains, coasters, a pin badge, a metallic file and a clear file set.

For now, the collection appears to be exclusive to E-Capcom, though that could change. If it stays that way, international buyers will need to order through ZenMarket, E-Capcom's preferred proxy service.

There's also a good chance some of these items will eventually make their way to stores like Play-Asia, so it may be worth keeping an eye out if you'd rather avoid using a proxy service.

Mega Man: Dual Override Playable Demo Coming to Los Angeles (September 19-20)

Live in or close to Little Tokyo, Los Angeles? Good news: you'll soon have a chance to play Dual Override.

Capcom’s first-ever U.S. pop-up opens at Little Akihabara this weekend, with Dual Override playable on September 19 and 20. This will be the game’s first public demo in the states, though Capcom says participation will be extremely limited.

While the demo will only be up for two days, the pop-up store itself runs through October 18. There will be all kinds of Mega Man goods on sale, as well as life-size statues of Mega Man (and other Capco characters) for photo ops.

The pop-up shop will be open daily from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Little Akihabara Popup Shop & Live (319 E 2nd St. #122, Los Angeles, CA 90012).

Capcom Shares Official Pragmata x Mega Man Art (Updated)

The official Pragmata Twitter account shared a new piece of artwork featuring Diana and Mega Man, continuing what has become a running joke at Capcom.

Illustrated by Yuji Ishihara, the piece depicts Diana in a Mega Man-inspired pose, with the accompanying caption reading, “I tried getting a little closer to the Mega Man style! What do you think?” UPDATE: there's now a second piece!

The long-running gag that Pragmata was secretly a Mega Man game started as a fan theory a few years ago and has since been embraced by Capcom, complete with an in-game Easter egg and upcoming DLC costumes based on Mega Man and Roll.

Needless to say, Capcom seems more than happy to keep the mutual love between the two series going!

The Real Names of X's First Four Armors

There are several things in the Mega Man X series that have gone unanswered for decades: What happened to the Classic cast? What happened to Vile Mk-III and IV? Why can General be 7 feet tall in one scene and 50 feet tall the next? The list goes on and on.

Among these mysteries, none is more prevalent than the names of the Armor sets in the first four Mega Man X games. Light or First? Giga or Second? MAX or Third? Force or Fourth? Maybe they’re all the Full Armor? What about Tune-Up Parts? As you can see, it’s become quite a mess over the years.

In the video above, I’ve done my best to get to the bottom of where most of these names came from and which ones fit the story best, so I hope you’ll check it out. Just remember, almost every name is technically right in one way or another (well, except for Giga), so let’s keep it civil.

And a big thank you to Protodude for giving me the chance to share this one on Rockman Corner. I hope you enjoy!

Mega Man: Dual Override Achievements Leaked (Beware Spoilers)

Something appears to be amiss on Steam's backend, with achievements for several unreleased and even unannounced games surfacing on Exophase, a site that tracks Steam achievements. Among them is the complete achievement list for Mega Man: Dual Override, despite the game still being a long way from release.

I won't post the achievements directly here, as they spoil the names of the Robot Masters and other features that have not yet been announced by Capcom. If you want to go into Dual Override completely blind, or simply wait for Capcom to reveal these details on its own terms, be advised that the spoilers are now out there. Major spoiler warning.

LEGO Mega Man, X and Zero Revealed for Fortnite

Mega Man and LEGO are finally collaborating, though perhaps not in the way many fans expected. In addition to the handful of cosmetics coming to Fortnite, officially licensed LEGO versions of Mega Man, X and Zero will also be available later this week.

The LEGO skins can be used in LEGO Fortnite's survival and crafting mode, as well as standard Fortnite Creative or custom modes that support LEGO skins.

All in all, it's great to see Mega Man and LEGO finally doing something together, and hopefully this is a precursor to more collaborations down the road. While not every LEGO skin featured in Fortnite has a corresponding real-world set or kit, some do, so perhaps physical Mega Man LEGO could be in the cards someday.

The Mega Man Fortnite collaboration is expected to begin this week, potentially as soon as tomorrow according to early leaks. And with the crossover seemingly right around the corner, several official Fortnite channels have started teasing even more Mega Man skins.

As seen in the teaser above, X and Zero are joining the fray too!

We should have more details on the collaboration, including an official start date, very soon.

Junko Karashima Confirmed as Mega Man: Dual Override Sound Director

In a new interview with Nintendo Everything, members of the development team confirmed that Junko Karashima is serving as sound director, seemingly taking over the role from Mega Man 11 sound director Ryo Oshii. Karashima has a lengthy list of credits spanning numerous Dance Dance Revolution and beatmania titles, and more recently directed and composed music for Mega Man X DiVE.

When asked who is composing the music for Dual Override, the team did not reveal any individual composers just yet, but they did speak about Karashima’s role and the expectations surrounding the soundtrack:

"What we can say at this point is the sound director of Mega Man: Dual Override is Junko Karashima. She is someone who respects the music of all the other past Mega Man games and understands that there are high expectations and how important music is for a game like Mega Man: Dual Override. The goal is to maintain the things that remain important in a Mega Man game we’re hoping people are really excited for the music in Mega Man: Dual Override."

Nintendo Everything’s full interview with the development team covers several other topics about the game, so be sure to give the full piece a read!
