Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Sells Over 1 Million Units Worldwide

Capcom has announced that two weeks after its launch, Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection has officially sold over 1 million units worldwide, making it the fastest selling Mega Man game of all time. Without question, it's on track to overtake Mega Man 11's lifetime sales of 1.6 million units, a feat that took around four years to accomplish.

The one million unit milestone consists of combined Volume 1 and Volume 2 sales across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC. Needless to say, this achievement is truly outstanding and unprecedented in the franchise's 35-year history. We haven't seen anything like this before.

The Battle Network sweep is here.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Japan Sales Report April 17-April 23

Due the stock shortage announced last week, the Japanese version of Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection didn't shine exactly as bright as it did during its debut. A natural drop was expected.

For the week between April 17th to April 23rd, Famitsu reports that the Nintendo Switch version sold 6,342 units charting at #5. This brings the physical Switch version in Japan to a total of 58,717 units without counting the download card version.

The PlayStation 4 version didn't enter the top 10 best selling games this week. It remains to be seen if the PS4 version will rank among the top 30 titles for the week when that data is released later.

If we combine the current data for the physical Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 versions, the Legacy Collection has sold 71,709 units in Japan.

As of a few days ago, the game is back in stock throughout Japan following a nation-wide sell-through. It will be interesting to see how sales progress next week. Stay tuned!

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Sold Out in Japan, Capcom Promises Restock

Capcom has confirmed that the physical editions of Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection have completely sold out in Japan. The company credited the game's popularity for this outstanding achievement, as it dominated Japan's sales charts within the first three days of its release.

To satisfy the demand, Capcom reassured fans that they are currently preparing additional units, with plans to restock by late April. They encourage anyone who's interested to contact retailers about reservations.

Needless to say, this speaks volumes to the collection's success and how much love there is for this 22-year-old series. The proverbial "Battle Network sweep" continues!

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Tops Japan Sales Charts (Updated)

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection launched worldwide on April 14th. Roughly a week later, the first sales report has come out from Japan - and it's looking good.

For the week between April 10th to April 16th, Famitsu reports that the Nintendo Switch version has sold 52,375 units charting at #1 and the PlayStation 4 version charted at #5 selling 7,871 units. Basically, the collection sold approximately 60,246 units in three days, selling more than all Mega Man X Legacy Collection versions (1, 2 and 1+2 bundle) combined and Mega Man 11 in a similar period of time (in Japan).

This number only accounts for physical sales in Japan. Worldwide digital and physical sales have yet to be disclosed but this bodes well overall. MMBNLC could be on track to become the next million seller in the Mega Man franchise.

Stay tuned for updates.

UPDATE: Famitsu has released an expanded sales chart that covers the top 30 best selling games instead of top 10. Battle Network Legacy Collection has sold an additional 5,121 units thanks to the download cards released for Nintendo Switch of Vol.1 and 2. The download card that packs both volumes together didn't chart inside the top 30.

The final number for the first three days are 65,367 units sold.

Capcom Posts HD Remastered Rockman EXE the Movie to YouTube

As previously announced, Capcom uploaded Rockman EXE the Movie: Programs of Light and Darkness to YouTube. But what's even more exciting is that the movie has been remastered in HD! This marks the first time the movie has been shown in its native resolution, as it has yet to be released on Blu-Ray or any streaming/digital platform.

Unfortunately, this version does not feature official subtitles and it will only be online until May 31st. However, I'm confident that the Battle Network community will take the initiative to address both of these issues in some way.

In the meantime, feel free to check out the video above. As a special bonus, Rockman Unity provided a peek at some of the movie's production materials. You can check those out here!

Dark Rockman Joins 3rd Rockman EXE and Medarot S Crossover Event

A third collaboration between the Rockman EXE series and the mobile game Medarot S has been announced out of the blue, and it's expected to drop on April 6th!

Compared to the previous two collaborations, this one may not be as remarkable since the only new feature added to the game is the Dark Trance Medarot, inspired by Dark Rockman. Players can acquire this Medarot through the Pick Up gacha and other special collab gacha banners that will be available starting this Thursday.

What's more? All the Rockman EXE inspired Medarots, costumes and BGM tracks from the previous collabs will be available once again.

Rockman DASH Manhua English Scanlation Project Completed

The Rockman DASH manhua scanlation project is finally complete! Originally released in 2001 in Chinese by Wu Heyi, this official comic is a humorous retelling of the game. While the book has been out of print for years, it has never been fully translated into English - until now.

Thanks to the hard work of the translation team, the entire manhua is available to read for free on MangaDex and RockmanCosmo's website. A downloadable PDF version is available from the latter as well.

Although it may not be the most well-known piece of DASH media, it's definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of the series. Hit up those links above!

Easter Roll Joins Mega Man X DiVE This Week

Coming to the global version of Mega Man X DiVE this Wednesday, all servers will celebrate the Easter festivity with the arrival of the limited character Easter Roll. Plus, there's a new event called "Easter Eggs Are Yours to Collect!" where players have to collect 8 Easter Eggs.

You can expect the usual rewards from the event reward list with the card "Rabbit? Easter eggs!" as the main attraction. Easter Roll's capsule comes packed with a free 10-pull.

What's more? A Popularity Pick Up capsule featuring ViA and Dr. Light the Martial Artist will be available on all servers too.

Lastly, the next round of the Guild Boss event will take place in all servers. The North American and EU servers will tackle Sigma (X3 1st Form) and the LATAM server will fight against Hell Sigma.

Happy Easter!
