Famitsu Deems Capcom Company Of The Year

Famitsu, the gaming magazine in Japan, have gone and named Capcom their choice for developer of the year at the Enterbrain award ceremony. Needless to say, Capcom is very pleased.

Sadly, Rockman (although nominated) did not win "character of the year", the honor goes to Metal Gear's Solid Snake. Ah well, maybe next year buddy.

  1. Ah well, at least Rock was nominated, and he gets props since Capcom received the Company of the Year award. Good job, Capcom! And as for Solid Snake, well...He's not a bad choice to win that category, although I could probably think of others.

  2. Capcom has done an excellent job this generation. This year has already been awesome with Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter 5. I'm looking forward to Lost Planet 2 and Dead Rising 2. Keep making quality games Capcom, and I'll keep buying :]

  3. Capcom truly deserves this.
Unlike some other companies who have had 1 or 2 monster hits this generation, Capcom has had multiple (sometimes smaller) hits but all quality games.
There's an entire generation of gamers who's slowly getting sick of all the Halos and Gran Turismos and just want some of the old fun gameplay. And Capcom has surely delivered that with MM9, BC:Rearmed and SF4.
