Did You Know Keiji Inafune Has A Blog?

Seems like every bigwig in the game industry has a blog these days.

Keiji Inafune, the father of Rockman has his very own blog at the Daletto homepage. Surprisingly, he doesn't talk much about the Rockman series, rather he shares weekly musings about his career, his family and other random tidbits of interest. Here's a few things I picked up on via computer translation (might not be entirely accurate mind you):

-Inafune jogs every morning regardless of the season. Periodically, he would pass by a shrine to pray.

-Above his desk at Capcom's Osaka HQ sits a "beaded Rockman" given to him from a Swedish Rockman fan. He calls it his "guardian angel."

-He plays Resident Evil 5 with his son often. Claims the game has strengthened their relationship.

-Inafune was very happy to hear Obama won the election this past year, wishes the U.S economy a safe recovery under his administration.

- In addition to practicing photography, Inafune collects cameras, primarily older models.

-Inafune is a fan of the animated film, "La Maison en Petits Cubes." Extremely pleased to hear it won an Academy Award.

Seems like an interesting guy!

    That's bad.

  2. I never understood famous foreign people stating political preferences on a blog, no matter which "side" you're on.

  3. I hate it when ANY celebrity openly states their political views, regardless of - as Anon 2 said - what "side" they're on. It alienates potential fans, and makes current fans feel akward if they disagree with them.
Though, in this case, Inafune probably would've said that same line regarding Obama, no matter who won, just to be nice.
