As it happened with the previous card pack, the flavor text tells a story. The story of something that occurred a long time ago before the 16 heroes set out for the Land of Illusion.

That's all for now. In a few months another card pack will be released. Looking forward to it!

  1. You know... I MIGHT (MIGHT) have tried this game if it weren't for the fact they completely screwed up X and Zero's artwork. They didn't do that for Street Fighter. Or Breath of Fire. Or Devil May Cry. Or Resident Evil. Or Monster Hunter. They did it for the one franchise in the whole bunch I cared about.
    So nah. I'm good.

    1. Ikr, and clearly they gave up on those designs (kinda), realising those designs sucked, however it still baffles me when new reploid characters are added (ex Dynamo) they give them the usual (in this case good) design but whenever they make a new X or Zero card they use the same crappy design.

Seriously compared to any mega man artstyle or design the teppen designs look horrible.

    2. Agreed 100% with both of you.

    3. Same anon from before just going to say that the art team is still good i just didn't like X and Zoro's designs, but everything else looks really good.

(I think they are very good at showcasing the locations also)

  2. "Ride Armor Momo"

As I live and breathe, I never thought to combine those two things together.
But now? I'm not sure I can live without that combination in my life~

    1. Right? I have a new head canon that the original BoF trilogy is the future of X's Earth. The implications are AWESOME

  4. they really should make a capcom vs. capcom fighting game or rpg(especially love momo controlling the ride armor/myria controlling mechanaloids.:3) as i really love the x series being re imagined as a forgotten civilization(though x's design sucks.)and would be cool seeing more of this world.

    1. play Project X Zone or Namco X Capcom. we have a ton of crossover RPG's and fighting games involving capcom and other properties, why just limit it to capcom?

pretty much every mega man protagonist except for the star force one has appeared in a fighting game so far.

    2. I would die of excitement for a MMX/BoF RPG crossover

  5. I kinda want to see how the classic series would look in TEPPEN.

  6. Its funny really, they can draw these mechaniloid and maverick designs perfectly fine, but X and Zero, the main characters, get the WORST DESIGNS IN THE ENTIRE GAME.

  7. Mystics and middle ages stuff and magic is not fitting at all for MM. Strange combo.

    1. Tell that to Project X Zone and its sequel. X and Zero have fought alongside people who use magic and against fantasy world creatures a few times now. Nothing new to them. XD

    2. Are you familiar with Super Robot Wars? They are usually giant robots, but there were a few instances of human scaled robots in the series: Tekkaman Blade, Detonator Orgun and (I think) Votoms. Maybe others.

I always thought X and co, Ride Armors or not, would fit in right at home there. Super Robot Wars gave birth to Super Robot Taisen Endless Frontier, which then helped inspire Project X Zone. I would like to see X and co in Super Robot Wars proper. Not a damn phone game (which they DID do)

    3. Project x Zone is a really loose multi company massive crossover. This is just Capcom using their own IPs, for me that makes it more direct in making serious comparisons between series compatability.

    4. speaking of the word Taisen, I hope that 2022 title isn't just making a game out of this. I think people and myself want sequels to the main timeline most of all. As far as I'm concerned, it isn't Megaman if it is a fighting game or magic stuff that doesn't fit into the MM universe. MM is supposed to be technology and science and ideally platformer and side scrolling, with the exception of MML. Capcom games like Demon's Crest or Ghouls and Goblins are where mystical stuff is fitting. what is MMX supposed to do otherwise, shoot demons and spirits with an X buster? That setting really is not fitting, as far as I'm concerned.

    5. Also looking up those titles, those are not canon or actual MM games any more than saying Megaman appearing in Super Smash Bros or Megaman soccer is a MM game, or a past fighting game. Even Dive is more like Megaman than those titles mentioned in the responses above. Just silly side stuff really. Stuff like Project X Zone, Super Robot Wars, etc does not count at all. That would be like saying if Doom Slayer appeared in Super Smash Bros, then Doom Slayer fought Mario. No because it isn't canon or part of the story. It does not count at all. I wouldn't even call them Megaman. It is nothing like a Megaman game.

I would even go so far as saying Command Mission isn't true MM either since MM is not supposed to be a boring turn based Mario RPG stuff (not that it is part of the canon continuity anyways, though I thought it was for a time). I actually took the game back after getting tired of the random luck turn based nature of that game back in 2004. How annoying when walking and all of a sudden I randomly got pulled into a turn based battle. That got old, so I just read about and saw the final battle and ending on youtube. It not getting a sequel was understandable, though X8 deserved one.

The only thing that counts with X is canon games in the X series and main timeline games connected to the stories. Everything else doesn't count. So technically no, X has no experience fighting along side people who use magic since it isn't canon, just like Sigma was never rebuilt by Eggman and Eggman never met or worked with Dr. Wily since that is just some non-canon Archie stuff (Archie is somewhat interesting, but non-canon nonetheless). So we shouldn't be talking like it happened.

I think it is about time for legit MM stuff that plays like MM and is part of the story, like actual sequels. I find it odd that 2 years later, Dive is still being obsessed about. I would say enough is enough. Most don't care. We sure get the short end of the stick with MM these days, and it feels good to rant about it. Maybe we should rant to the CEOs about it. If they are gonna stop making main timeline games with no intention to continue them, at least finish each of the 5 series with conclusions. Only Zero has an actual conclusion. Still, enough time gap is between ZX and Legends that they could easily make multiple new main timeline series in between, which I would welcome too.

    6. Super Robot Wars is developed completely by Bandai. That particular franchise is nothing BUT crossovers, most all 3rd party licensed. It's kinda unique. And 100% non-canon. It's basically advanced fan fiction. Really fun to play as too. I wouldn't complain if X and co are in it, as I probably would play the game anyway. Especially now that there are English versions out there.

My understanding of Super Robot Wars (aka Super Robot Taisen) does not give me hope for what Capcom is doing right now. I almost guarantee they are doing a crossover event. Once again, nothing anyone asked for (or are demanding, en mass, AT THIS TIME). I am going to bank on it not even being a side scroller. It's going to be a tactical, FPS, Fortnite type game or open world, I bet. We shall see.

  8. Breath of Fire 3 is one of my favorite video games, so this makes me extremely happy to see. Breath of Fire almost always gets shafted in Capcom's crossovers, and while it doesn't get a "main character" (or however Teppen works) it's still really cool and creative.

    1. Breath of Fire 3 is great. It was the first in the franchise I played, and really (not having played 2 or 5) the only one I really enjoyed. It has a great soundtrack, too.

    2. @Shrap what's wrong with IV or even 1 for that matter? Well anyway I liked IV equally to III and thought both had excellent soundtracks actually I've played and liked them all except 6 but that doesn't even count (Idon't even know why I mentioned it).

  9. This artwork is truly incredible. Too crazy for words and just too awesome for a few sentences. Myria commanding an army of Victoroids, Garr looking badass and stoic as he faces down yet another dragon, and Momo...having fun in a Ride Armor. XD

Yes, I do believe this it is time for Breath of Fire and Mega Man X to have a true crossover immediately.
