Capcom vs. Osamu Tezuka Characters‘ Exhibit -- New Promo Video, Goods

We're two weeks away from the opening of the Capcom vs. Osamu Tezuka Characters‘ Exhibit (p.s. that little ‘ is pronounced 'dash', like Street Fighter II‘) and today PARCO posted a little promotional video featuring Rockman and Astro Boy. Further, more detail have been posted regarding all the goods that will be sold at the venue.

Find all the info after the break!

The video shows Astro Boy flying through the city of Ikebukuro, as if he had entered the world of Rockman. Then, Rockman navigates a street full of enemies from the classic series to meet Astro Boy at the PARCO shopping center roof.

The sprites of Rockman and Astro Boy used in the video will be sold as mini acrylic stands at the event shop for 710 Yen each. Visitors will also have the chance to buy new items, such as five new art cards, B2 posters, clear files, and tapestries featuring new key art drawn by Tsunogai.

Visitors who spend over 3,000 yen at the shop will receive one random postcard out of six drawn by a Tezuka artist and visitors with a paid ticket will also receive one random postcard out of six, this time drawn by a Capcom artist.

Additionally, visitors who make a purchase inside the event store or at the Capcom Tokyo Store in Shibuya PARCO will receive one of the postcards above.

Finally, as previously reported, duplicates of original art autographed by each creator will be sold at the venue. The original key art drawn by Bengus for the first exhibit and the new Tsunogai version will be sold for 88,000 yen, limited to 20 units.

Furthermore a set with 16 duplicates of original art picturing various characters from Osamu Tezuka's creations and Capcom's franchises will be on sale for 44,000 Yen. Signed by each illustrator and limited to 20 units too.

Let us know what do you think about the promotional video in the comments!

  1. Sounds like an interesting project. Mega Man and Tezuka's work have been near and dear to me for many, many years.

The opening to the article is confusing though. When did a ' start getting called a dash? I thought -- was called a dash.

  2. With that trailer, I can't help but imagine how amazing it would be to have an official Rockman X Astroboy game, even if it were to be retro styled! I kid you not, I would totally want to play it!
