Mega Man Legends 2's Soundtrack is Coming to Vinyl & Cassette!

The headline for this one speaks for itself, really. Mega Man Legends fans will soon be able to pick up Mega Man Legends 2's fantastic soundtrack on vinyl or audio cassette thanks to Ship to Shore PhonoCo.!

Both formats will be available to pre-order tomorrow, September 28th, at 2pm EST from Ship to Shore's online store. Supply will be limited so bookmark that link ASAP! I do want to note, though, that there's a strong possibility other outlets will carry both formats, too. That was the case with the Legends 1 vinyl. We'll have to wait and see.

That aside, this is great news! I mean, this will be the very first time that the Mega Man Legends 2 OST will be sold in a physical format. The Capcom Special Selection CD from 2009 only contained 17 tracks. That's nothing. So, again, we're in for a real treat here.

  1. Too much to ask for to get a CD, huh?
Oh well. Sooner or later, they will come to digital I bet.

  2. Yes, Shrap, and sooner or later, I can imagine this primitive tech once again going away. Temporary fad. Digital storage media (assuming one wants a hard copy) will keep getting so good that there will be no excuse for this 20th century tech and to advantages to vinyl. I can't say when, but I think it is safe to say this. Nothing lasts forever anyways. I wouldn't even bother when I can easily listen to it on youtube quickly and for free, and I'm not obsessed with the accumulation of things. We were both living in the 80s, but you, like me, seems to be able to evolve with the times.

    1. I would much rather have physical media. There are inherent issues with digital. Such as rights being stripped or content being permanently altered or removed.

    2. Sure, but like I said, it is safe to say it won't be in the form of vinyl one day. In my comment, I brought that up. Notice I chose my word carefully. I remember already debating this months ago and your desire for physical, hence I said that in my comment. Physical need not be primitive physical forms though. Maybe they will come out with a kind of read only flash drive (well cartridge's (now small chips) are like that kind of).

    3. It wasn't an argument, just my preference. Given the choice, CD's are preferable cause I can make my own MP3. But if the Legends OST (in complete form, ideally) ends up on Steam, I will do that. I already have the original Legends 1 OST. Legends 2 and Tron need a release.
Capcom has been putting RE, Mega Man, Breath of Fire and Street Fighter soundtracks on Steam. Probably others. It is only a matter of time, now. It will get their eventually.

  3. Just wanted to comment to say that Ship to Shore mentioned in a reply that there will be a restock for the Legends 1 soundtrack. Good news for anyone like me who didn't manage to get a preorder in.

  4. Well, hope you made an account before today because you can't make one at the moment. It just keeps saying 'Too many requests'. I can't imagine this OST is really breaking their website đŸ˜‚
