SF3's Inside Joke

Playing through Star Force 3 the other day, I came across a character who had something very interesting to share:
"I finally got my grandson the correct version of the game he wanted. And now I hear they're coming out with a sequel! People these days are always out to milk money out of customers!"
Huh, if I didn't know better, I think Capcom's trying to imply something...

You can find this particular character at the Spica Mall event area. His dialogue varies depending on your progression, so you might not have this exact conversion.

NPC=non-player character.

That's pretty funny. xD I guess this might mean that Operate Shooting Star may, after all, come over seas? Just a wild guess... Then again, they could have just translated it without thinking much of it.

There's all sorts of little shout-outs here and there.

At the end of the game there's a guy in that area who says game designers are focusing too much on graphics rather than gameplay. Another implied joke! :)

also, could that "inside joke" be something to do with the fact that for every installment of the star force series, there have been 2 or more versions of what is escentially the same game with a few minor differences?

Please, lord. No more milking. Even Capcom is starting to loath themselves. @_@

There's another error:The Keyword of Planet AM, the last paragraph of it mentions it is currently needed to be rebuilt, yet it says that Plant FM! is being rebuilt.

You JUST noticed this now? Clearly you've been writing too much about Mega Man and not playing enough Mega Man....

But yeah, it is pretty funny.

Reminds me of that MadWorld joke about Sega.

Holmes: WHAO!!! Sega really put effort into this one.
Kressler: Yeah, not that the last Sonic game for reference. F***ers!
