Nintendo Dream's Announcement Concerns a New Series?

Allan "Nicol" Montenegro of Taizen Saint Seiya, has attempted to translate the blurred text from the mysterious Nintendo Dream announcement:

Top text: "Burning/hot/ardent battle"

Lower Text: "The newest series! At long last the work..."

Is Nintendo Dream implying the coming of a new series? Perhaps, but then what's the "at long last the work" all about? Whatever it is, sounds as if its been in production for a while...

I really don't know what to make of this one, too little to speculate on. Your thoughts?

  1. I can think of three things:

    The third Network Timeline series, taking place after RnR...

    The fifth Robotics Timeline series, taking place after ZX

    A brand new timeline, yet again re-imagining the Rockman series.

  2. being the hoper and speculator that i am, it may be the series to connect all series. many have hoped for all the series to connect in some wierd and wonderful way, but that has been for a long time, well this may be the "at long last" that we see in the photo. just specualation, just opinion...

  5. Hmm. Capcom has come up with the first true AI Netnavi, or
    Hopefully a megaman game that wil involve user generated content, but not suck. But of course, There is no proof of any of that exept that it could be related to how things like tat take a long time...

  6. Too many thoughts. Of course the first one is Scramble battle. Ardent battle/long worked on... Then, it says "newest series". Does that mean they're revealing a new one, or maybe it's SSR? Or maybe they just mean a new game using an already existing character. Maybe it's DASH 3? Who knows? :)

    Do they release issues a month earlier than the date in Japan like they do in the US? You know, for the newsstands? If so, that means we only have to wait for January. :D

  7. Please,not another spin-off series...We had enough of that. Stick with the older series.

  8. Makes sense. They showed the progression of Rockman so that they can then show the newest one.

  9. Why can I only think of Legends 3? o_o

  10. Rockman fighting game... The only one to make sense with all those Rockmen together

    Dissidia: Megaman maybe? ;p

  11. Still in the dark myself. I believe it's yet another new continuity/timline all together.

  12. Battle? Like... Scramble Battle?! WOOHOO!! ...Or could it be an Elf Wars series? After all, after Rockman 9, we don't really know what Inti's been up to, do we?

  13. Haha, technically any non-classic series is a spinoff.

    It seems a bit too soon for another entry into the network timeline. O_o I'm really up for anything but a new Rockman. I love EXE and I like RnR, but we don't need ANOTHER one. How many different Rockmans can they think up? As far as I can tell, their only option for a new one is to repeat the robot idea or move on to some odd monsters 'n' demons 'n' angels thing. O_o Which could conceivable be cool, but I like Rockman because it stayed away from that stuff. It was less biological monstrosities stuff like the rest of Japanese games. XD

  14. If it is connected to the exe ssr series only way id accept it if you would make your own navi with AI =)
    otherwise i kinda demand a nextgen rockman either classic, x or legends!
    I hated the exe series and i dont really wanna see something like that again!

  15. Legends, Zero, and ZX are not represented in the artwork, which is intriguing. One could argue that this is due to since Zero, Vent, Aile, Gray, and Ashe not technically being "Rockman"(rockmen, rockmans?) But that doesn't make sense for Trigger to be excluded.

    I'm not going to call "shoop" just yet since I do not think there are any pieces of artwork of the classic Rockman in profile like that(But X, EXE, and SS all are official pieces of artwork, as far as I can tell)

  16. @JunkmanSP:

    Rock's profile can be found on page 248 in R20.

  17. Good point regarding the timeline. Well, it looks like a new Rockman series, but probably a Capcom "backup plan" against the SSR3 bomb. That's me.

  18. They lined up all the blue Megaman except for Trigger.
    Rock -> X
    Exe -> Starforce
    Trigger -> ???

  19. "Hopefully a megaman game that wil involve user generated content, but not suck. "

    God I hope not, that would really screw me over. I'm too busy working on that myself.

  20. I think user-generated content games are overrated. It's the thing right now. I say: PLEH to it. They're alright for things like Boom Blox and LBP, but a Rockman game has NO place in user-generated content land.

  21. Is that why people loved the stage builder in Powered Up?

  22. I still stand by what I said. :|

  23. Text is quite blurry, so I dunno if the characters are even being read correctly.

    But in any case, it would be nice if this was DASH 3, following right on the tracks of Volnutt's appearance in TvC.

    The one time you really want Capcom to truly give a game the "Rockman treatment", and they've left us hanging this long... XD

  24. Heh. I'm still putting my bets on Scramble Battle. I'm gonna be pissed if they leave out Trigger, though....

    It would be nice if they surprised us with something along the lines of a Legends 3 or X9, but I severely doubt that's gonna happen anytime before 2011.
