Plush Mega Buster And Other Goods Coming This Winter

MORE Mega Man merchandise! Good gravy, GE Animation are on a roll here. The folks behind a number of official blue bomber paraphernalia are at it again, gearing up to release a slew of new goodies by year's end. And no, we're not talking about November's loot, but December's. Is there no end to the madness?

Most of the new items are inexplicable themed after Mega Man X6, but there's a few neat classic series products of interest such as a plush Mega Buster(pictured), and a helmet cap.  All merch. listed below are due out by December 30th, 2011:
Hands-down, the plush Buster is the coolest of the lot. I think it's safe to assume it's a sleeve of sorts; shove your hand inside, and you've got yourself a rockin' Buster. Coupled with that helmet cap, and you'll be ready to fight for ever lasting peace!

GE Animation Mega Man products are typically sold at Hot Topic and other major pop-culture chains across North America. You can't order these trinkets directly from AAA Distribution, mind you. AAA  is merely a liaison for retailers. You can, however, request an item to be sold at a store near you.

2011 is undeniably the year of merchandise. Mega Man video games? What are those?

  1. Whats with all the merch for old games? Why not just MMX, instead of a specific logo? X6 is OLD. It makes no sense to advertise for such a game as it has little nostalgia value. I can understand wanting to make merch for the popular X series, but why not MHX or more recent X series games? Even X1 or X2 would make more sense than X6, because at least they have nostalgia going for them.

  2. FINALLY someone is putting out helmet caps and busters and such for the public. I see them all over, custom made for employees at Capcom or custom made by fans. They both shall be mine (hopefully nicely prices, lol). As well as that awesome wallet and messenger bag. Kinda random how they chose X6 though. Hmm...oh well. This is an awesome batch of products. Now all we need is Jazwares to get on the ball with a new line of toys and we will be set! =)

  4. X6 is one of my top favorite titles in the X series, and that wallet is tempting...

  5. Why X6? Because that is the very game Capcom came out with to spite Inafune wanting X5 to be the last. Isn't it obvious they are angry with him so they throw all this junk into his face like: HA STUPID INFUNE-SAN HOW YOU LIKE US NOW!! WE OWN ROCKMAN, YOU DON'T!! YOU LIKE LEGENDS 3? WELL TOO BAD HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! HERE IS A CHEAP LITTLE ROCKMAN KEY-CHAIN FOR YOU!!

And I guarantee most of you fools will throw money at capcom for this junk, instead of boycotting them when you know we should.

  10. Oh yeah, because boycotting all Megaman goods is a terrific idea! Then Capcom will know it's not a moneymaker and officially kill the series!

  11. Wow, some of these items seem pretty cool, assuming they translate well from the production photos to that thing you pick up in that-place-they-want-you-to-give-them-paper-stuff-for.

As for raging about using games that aren't exactly the highlight of the series I think that's fine. So long as they're using accurate imagery for it and label it as MMX6 that's fine. My pet peeve is mix and matching. Hey look, it's a Wind Waker shirt with a Twilight Princess label . . . uh, what? Or it's just "Mega Man" and we get X and Knight Man.

  12. @anon

Yes because succumbing to Capcom taking advantage of our fandom is such a wonderful idea right?

Don't buy this trash and focus on forcing Capcom to make Megaman GAMES again.

  13. To be honest I think the previous anon has a point. I somewhat have a feeling that if a new mega man (one that won't be legends 3) that some people will still boycott. We would be showing them that Mega Man isn't profitable. I don't really see any harm in purchasing any of these. I've always wanted a Mega Man Helmet or buster to go with my collection.

Now that I say this I'm not against the Legends 3 movement but I find it a bit ridiculous the amount of hatred that comes out of it every now and then. I can understand being angry but we shouldn't let it consume us.

  14. Why would they make merchandise based off the one Mega Man X game that most fans seem to hate? Does it have anything to do with the game being 10 years old now?

  15. @everyone

Well guys have fun with your toys, because all your gonna show Capcom is that the money to be made from Megaman is in merchandising and NOT actual games.

You guys would probably buy big jars full of diarrhea as long as it had a Megaman logo on it :\

  16. Capcom will eventually have to make another Mega Man game. I mean they'd be stupid not to. Sure they've shot themselves in the foot once but I don't think they'd be stupid enough to shoot the other. Especially after seeing how much they ticked off the fanbase. They're probably just trying to think of a way to approach the fanbase with a new game that won't tick them off or maybe not... I don't see what's wrong with them selling merchandise of the franchise though. I mean they've done it in the past before they canceled Legends 3. Also we still have Rockman Online in production so we can try to fight for it to get localized as well as fight for Legends 3 and even Universe to get revived.

  17. Well, my card deck got here today. I'm a little disappointed that the same images are used across all the suits (X - Ace, Zero - 2, Mavericks 3 - 10, Colonel - Jack, Iris - Queen, General - King, with Double and Sigma as Jokers), but well worth the $5 + $2 in shipping. I play a ton of Poker and Solitaire so these area nice addition to the collection :D

Screw the haters, I want more merchandise as well as games. It's about bloody time Capcom did something on the swag end of their products considering most of this stuff never made it out of Japan before. ...Now if I can just find an extra $20 for that X6 wall scroll.
