TVC: Mega Man, Zero and Roll's New Endings (Spoilers!)

Although Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars is slated to release on the 26th in the states, a few lucky folks have already managed to not only obtain a copy of the game early, but also completed several character's stories, namely, Mega Man Volnutt, Zero and Roll. As such, footage of the three's new endings (provided by the artists of UDON Entertainment) have surfaced online, and you can check them out after the break...

  1. Nice. Zero's ending is very interesting. I glad that they went that route. I didn't really care for Roll's or Mega Man's endings though. They're kind of pointless and don't speak of anything related to the other games to my knowledge.

  2. Zero's Ending: HELL YEAH X/Axl/Alia!

    Roll's Ending: Hilarious and cute.

Trigger's Ending: How does he mistake a skull-shaped rock for a Refractor?

  3. So, same basic ending for the characters? That's cool. I wish that Doronjo didn't look so weird. I only skipped around Volnutt's ending though.

And yeah, some stores have had them since the beginning of January.

  4. I don't mind the subject matter of any of the endings (but that "Oh crap!" line is nearly as lame as "Not a charge shot!"). I like the art in Roll and Volnutt's endings, but the art in Zero's ending is pretty... well, terrible. Having seen some of the other endings too, this doesn't seem like Udon's best work overall. A bit of a shame, but it's a pretty awesome game anyway.

  5. Hrm.. The drawings in Zero's ending don't seem very good. Alia's pose is weird, Zero's shoulders are too small.. I dunno, it just looks weird. That's just my opinion.

  6. Aww.. They don't have FMV sequences anymore for the US release.

Oh well, the art definitely looks WAY nicer than the JP version's endings. Though I noticed these endings are much different, though Rock's is somewhat similar.

  7. Hrm. I think I'd have to agree... Zero's finishing art seems off. Still, looks..ominous? Anyone got a few ideas of where Zero needs to go or where it takes place in the series? Apparently between X7 and CM...
I don't own a Wii, so I'll probably just read up on it... or.. y'know.. cheat a bit :3

  8. The artwork for Zero's ending is blatantly bad. Everything in it is poorly done, aside from the coloring and lighting. Zero's shoulders, X's helmet, their poses, the overall proportions, etc.

At least the dialogue itself is fine.

  9. What's wrong with the art? It's terrible. I'm not very impressed with the endging pictures. This isn't the same quality i was hoping for coming from UDON. I KNOW they could do better than that.

  10. The US version lacks animation and voices in the endings? Oh well, the new version of Tatscap comes out here in a couple days too, so I will have to see how it is, and how Zero's uncut ending is.

@Tcat: Probably after X8 based on both the designs of the chracters and the fact that Zero can use a move from X8.

  11. Is it just me, or is Wily getting more and more sentimental over the years?

  12. I thought this game had anime cutscenes for the endings for each character? Where the heck did they go? Did they really remove them in the US version? God....

  13. Just happy to see X/Axl/Alia at all. At least they didn't get COMPLETELY forgotten!!

...Roll getting Hutziel to work in the lab was AWESOME.

I was almost expecting Zero to get rescued by Amateratsu, given the cross over for Roll's ending. :P That woulda been cooler, I think, than the average "Yay Wily rears his head again" bull... Axl coulda been like "Oh cool, a dog with red markings like me! Can we keep her?!" or something.. Woulda been nice to see a funny side to the X cast instead of all seriousness.. Oh well, we have the X manga with Cain braiding Zero's hair or X / Volt Catfish in tuxedos as a dancing team to supply some form of 'official' humor.

  14. Zero is awesome to play as, having kinda crappy ending art is no reason not to enjoy his presence. My one regret is that there's no "Zero Nightmare" color scheme. The blue and green Zeros don't do anything for me.

  15. ........... Zero's ending art looks pretty ugly...

sorry to say it. I'm super sure that I'm not the only one that think that....!

  16. Might I suggest putting a spoiler's notice on the headline? That may sound silly, but there's like screen shots on the front of the embed videos that can reveil one piece of the ending.

Don't these endings consist of still images?

  17. The artwork is ok, but not the best.

Roll and Trigger's ending are almost like the JPN ones, just a few chances here and there.

Zero's ED artwork is most horrible, IMO, of the three. It is interesting that they throw in Wily, X, Alia, and Axl.

    And WHERE'S the ANIMATED ENDINGS?!!!

Note to self: either get a new Wii or repair old one (bricked)...

  18. What move did Zero use from X8?

  19. 天照覇 tenshouha Game's not out here until tomorrow, but from the videos I had seen, I believe it is his evel one super. I recall him saying the name of most of his moves as well. Were the voices taken out of the English version or something?
