Ippo Yamada Working On Arranged Zero Music

Famed Mega Man series composer Ippo Yamada, who has been involved with the music for the ZX series, and Mega Man 9, among others, is said to be working on new arrangements of Zero series music.  On his official blog, Yamada had the following to say: "Tonight I'm planning on an all-nighter working on Zero melody arrangements."

Immediately, I'm left to wonder if he's involved in the Zero Collection project, possibly producing remixes for the game, or maybe he's simply putting together another arrange CD album.  Who knows at this point.

Hopefully, Yamada will enlighten us sooner rather than later! We'll keep you posted.

  1. WOOHOO!!! Man, I love the music of the Zero and ZX series. He and his team of composers have really done an oustanding job with the tracks. Hopefully more arranged ZX music is next!

  2. Didn't he arrange them once already for those soundtracks?

  5. He did already arrange tracks for the Zero series. But look at the ZX series--they got the arranged tracks AND Gigamix. So whatever Yamada's cooking up might be like the Zero series equivalent of Gigamix. While for certain games this kind of constant remixing of music might be considered stale, the music from Inti Creates is just so damn excellent--as are the arrangements--that I'm very eagerly awaiting this.

  6. He just said he is preparing them is all, nothing about arranging the music. Preparing them for use on the DS, most likely sound programming. Although the ARM-7 is no different in the DS than the AGB, so probably just checking sounds and getting rid of any oddities that may have appeared during a transfer from AGB to DS.

  7. - Yeah, plan with caution, because another disaster like Rockman9 arranged album wouldn't be welcome. ^_^;;

  8. If this is for the Zero Collection, sweet... but why didn't they remix the music for OSS? O_o
