High-Res Mega Man 10 'Box Art'

We've seen this lovely piece of art several times before, but now it's in a much higher resolution. Provided by Capcom's jgonzo, here it is again:

Where's the wallpaper version?! I've been waiting to slap that baby onto my desktop with all it's cheesy but completely awesome glory.

Yeah, I believe that's the point. The artist(s) intentionally made this and Mega Man 9's boxart look bad in order to imitate the way that the boxarts were drawn during the NES era, particularly the ones that were made for Mega Man 1 and 2.

  7. "Parallel Hyper-Bit Interface" is perhaps the best marketing term I have ever heard. :)

Even better than what Apple comes up with!

  8. It's pretty astounding how many people still don't get the joke.

I guess they are too young for it? I hate feeling like people are so dense they can't read.

  9. I sorta feel the same as Khoro. I'm surprised people still don't get the idea... given, it's sort of beating a dead horse after R9 imo, but still.

  10. C'mon, the joke is obvious. I love these boxarts -- they show how cutely funny Capcom can be.

Personally I wonder if these other people are joking ignorance.

  11. None of you apparently live in the Europe area for bad box art. :P This is actually quite nice.

  12. It's not that I don't get why they're made like that, it's just...really, they suck. Then again, Capcom's sticking in the stoneage with the Megaman Classic games, so I guess it fits. Still think it looks horrible. And no, I know what they are, I'm not too young for them. I just think they could do a lot better with a REAL boxart.

It's just boxart, and it's a joke. It doesn't suck, because there's artistic merit in the art.

More like you're butthurt because it doesn't fit your vision, which is a matter of opinion. I don't know how you would make a "real boxart" for a game where you fight an electrical robot sheep and a crazy old man.
