AVGN Reads Worlds of Power: Mega Man 2

Why read that crummy Mega Man 2 novelization when you could have it read to you?  The Angry Video Game Nerd reads aloud the book in its entirety in his latest video series:

Believe it or not, this goes on for another four parts. If you've got nothing to do for an hour and 16 minutes, kick back and have a listen to the remaining chapters at CinemaMassacre.com

  1. AVGN is the best. I'm not surprised to see him doing something like this.

  2. This was a nice treat despite some of his previous works for some of the last Nerd Videos. He's doing it as James Rolfe, but I just love how he comments on the book's faults.

I'm totally up for a MM9 and 10 AVGN Review if he ever did one. He did a Castlevania marathon, even most of those were good games, and something like Battletoads for the NES. They weren't particular my favorite Nerds though. I also thought that Street Fighter 2010 Review was pretty weak compared to Spoony's.

I just wish he'd stop avoiding Monster Party and Ghoul School every Halloween. -_-

  3. "You might wanna grab some milk and cookies or something..."

Bonus points in so very many ways to AVGN for doing this and keeping his composure (as much as possible).

This Rovin guy...Mega Man is and has always been a robot! Nothing's going to change that, he's not Pinocchio. Although now I've got visions in my head of a puppet with an arm cannon.

  4. Lol, I watched the whole thing. Was fun to listen to. Too bad I ran out of cookies. :(

  5. I think it'd be pretty sweet if the AVGN took a look at the MM DOS games, or maybe even Megaman Soccer...so ridiculous.

  6. What about us deaf/hearing impaired people ? No closed captioning or open captioning ? Tsk tsk.

  7. I didn't remember the book being that bad, but maybe it's just been a while since I read it lol

  8. Aw man, I was actually thinking of doing something like this with the books. Then, I thought it would be very silly. Luckily there's James Rolfe always ready and able. However I wouldn't have had the cam on me at all time. I would have taken a more "reading rainbow" direction, I mean, even though pictures might be an issue for the duration, at least do a cool fire animation with occasional MM pics to accompany the dialogue. All in all, this was pretty decent, another type of series under his belt.

  9. 'His head hurt.

    "My head hurts!" he said.'

    Wow.

  10. I laughed the most, when Mega Man said "What a great weapon!" when he tested out Metal Blade.
