Wind Man Spotted In 'Caprica'

Keen eyed reader Tim caught sight of a Wind Man.EXE cameo in Battlestar Galactica spin-off series, Caprica...

Approximately 38 minutes in to the pilot episode, a Wind Man.EXE toy can briefly be seen sitting idly on the shelf of character Zoe Greystone's bedroom:

The toy in question belongs to Mattel's Mega Man NT Warrior action figure line:

What do you make of it? A full fledged cameo, or a bit of a stretch?

  1. Ah, ah, ah. It's...Virus Attack WindblastMan... :D

    *groan*

Totally random, but don't know if it quite topped that 90210 one. LOL

  2. Wow. He caught that? What's it doing in that show? O_o

  3. geez...

    battlestar galactica/caprica: childish tv shows.

    rockman exe/starforce: pokemon ripoff concepts.

    Ok that would make sense.

  4. BSG/Caprica is childish? LOL, man Kotiplex,I can tell you haven't seen either show.

  5. Pokemon ripoff concepts? You obviously haven't played EXE/SSR either. That's like saying Halo is a Mario ripoff because there's running and jumping involved.

    Comment fail.

  6. No way is EXE/SSR a rip-off of Pokemon. I mean come on that is like comparing apple to grapes just because they both are food and fruit.

  7. I see that in the few months that I have been denied access to this site (family's Rockman-hating firewall), either the local EXE haters have suffered a loss of judgement, or the more idiotic haters have finally found this site.

  8. it has been scientifically proven the people who like the exe/starforce sagas aren´t real megaman fans but just kids trying to play something "cool", the same group who enjoy watching naruto, animax, disney channel, american/foreign idol, etc.

  9. Okay, yep, it's just the more idiotic haters.

  10. Kotipeltox I'm sorry you're wrong. I want concrete proof this "fact" is real. In addition, the world is not about you, just because YOU don't like something doesn't make it bad. Also you completely discredited yourself in this statement "rockman exe/starforce: pokemon ripoff concepts." There is very little resemblence to pokemon in EXE. EXE you move around on the battle-field and kill your enemy, in Pokemon you are stationary and try to knock out or catch your enemy.

" naruto, animax, disney channel, american/foreign idol, etc." I may not like those, but your point is still null and void, what is the significance of these shows? The fact they are popular thus means that they suck? You are clearly not a true Megaman Fan because a true fan can accept all the series, even the ones they do not particuraly enjoy.

You have the right to free speech, not the right to be an idiot.

"it has been scientifically proven the people who like the exe/starforce sagas aren´t real megaman fans but just kids trying to play something "cool""

Oh, this can be turned around, very, -very- easily.

Exactly like the X/Classic series? Both are far more popular throughout the internet community anyways, therefore, they have to be included in this flawed calculation of yours.

Point that finger at yourself, kid.

@ Silver: I wouldn't bother. Going through his posting history in the past few articles, he's likely doing this for the sake of trolling.

If he's actually 100% serious (which is quite sad), nothing's going to make him stop (especially if he doesn't completely understand what he's talking about in the first place - which is, sadly enough, a situation that we likely know by now is far too common on the internet)...

...In which case, he can continue embarassing himself and everyone on his side (if anyone even WANTS to be affiliated with whatever side he's on after this), for all we care.

(For all of his railing against 'kids', he sure can't seem to come up with a real and mature rebuttal of his own when confronted.

I don't know if it's just pure laziness, but it seems he also can't even use proper capitalization in the process. That's saying a lot considering everyone else here - including the 'kiddy' EXE fans that he hates so much - is using it.

At this point, he looks far more like a kid himself than anyone else I've ever seen on this blog.)

  12. @ Silver: ...Bah, I just contradicted myself with the "I wouldn't bother" part.

To be clear, I typed that part out before I re-read his stuff and decided to attack his argument head-on (Apply directly to the forehead! *is shot*). Up to you guys to believe that or not.

Either way, can't stay consistent with them all.

  13. Ahaha, yea, he's just trolling. Whether he's serious or just doing it for fun is up for debate, but there's no need to worry about it.

    "Scientifically proven?" XD

  14. Uh Protodude, I know that this is kinda off-topic, but does anybody want to battle on SSR3? I really want a challenge. Oh and nicely put Alilatias. I also wanted to say that I found out that Alilatias has the word latias which is from pokemon I think.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Alilatias = Ali + latias,
    latias = pokemon,

Ok, that makes sense, and i comprehend his "rpg-philia"

    X/original? what´s your point?

These sagas got their popularities through years and offering good playability. The poke-exe sagas were suddenly popular as it had mediocre playability. This is like to compare James Cameron´s popularity with Hannah Montana´s (i don´t care about her real name).

Therefore Alipokemon, change your diaper and keep playing your "digimonic" games, i´m very happy to hate those kind of games.

  16. And all of a sudden, he tries to make more sense, makes a hilarious attempt at using bigger words, and finally uses proper capitalization.

I think he managed to drag someone else into arguing and typing for him.

  19. @ kotipeltox

Alright now this is getting kind of off topic. Please if you will just stop insulting a series just cause you don't like it. Oh and I think that it is really immuture of you to insult someone because they like the EXE series. Maybe EXE is like Pokemon. That isn't bad actually. Pokemon is played all around the world by many people both young and old. It is respected and loved. So comparing EXE to Pokemon, well, I will just take it as a compliment instead of an insult thank you.

  20. I feel sorry for you Protodude, all these fights going on here lately..

  21. The Battle Network games do have their own unique style, but I think they also try to ape the Pokemon series in a few ways. Sometimes I wish EXE hadn't stooped to using some of Pokemon's more annoying peripheral merchandizing tactics, but that's how it is.

  22. @ Kotipeltox:

I'm with Alilatias. Saying someone who like EXE. is child-like is kind of like game-racisim. go somewhere else and comment on somthing else...SOMTHING YOU ACTUALY ENJOY! I understand that you don't like it, and i know the old freedom of speech thing so don't pull that out, but, man!
