On December 17th, Rockman will celebrate his 22nd birthday, and it looks to be a special one.

Capcom just announced plans to broadcast a live event online celebrating 22 years of the Blue Bomber, with Keiji Inafune acting as host. The special will air simultaneously in both Japan and the US on the 16th.

  8. I'm just going to say it now: don't get your hopes up just yet, everyone. I highly doubt an unveiling or announcement is coming today. I have a pretty good idea of what's coming next for Mega Man and when that announcement will be made, and it isn't today. I'm sorry I can't say more, but that'll have to be it for now. I'm not trying to tease anyone, I just wanted to let all of you who thought a big announcement might be coming today down easy.

I would love to be completely and totally proven wrong, of course (at least in terms of when an announcement is coming), but I don't think I will be. :(

But hey, maybe there's something waiting in the wings that I know absolutely nothing about. One can always hope, right?

  9. Oops, I meant not to expect an announcement "that day," as in 12/17, not "today." Sorry. Lack of sleep. x_x

    Also, YukiJudai --

You share a birthday with Mega Man?! I'm jealous. :(

  11. Mah, I'm not getting my hopes up. I was all excited for OSS's release and then it turned out to be a turd with a ribbon taped to it.

    They'd better redeem themselves.

  12. @Anon 4

You say that as if they gave a damn about what you think.

  13. @Anon 5: You say that as if Capcom isn't making Megaman games anymore.

  14. @Anon6: Other than MM9, they might as well have been some other IP. So outlandish, and so BAD.

    And they sold accordingly.
