"Capcom vs. Osamu Tezuka Characters" Art Exhibit Sample Posted

The much-anticipated Capcom vs. Osamu Tezuka Characters art exhibit is a mere ten days away! And to keep appetites whet, Rockman Unity has posted a sample of the kind of artwork visitors can expect to see.

Shown above is Astro Boy drawn by Mega Man series artist Keisuke Mizuno, striking a valiant pose next to classic series Mega Man by Tezuka Productions contributor Urumu Tsunogai. Pretty neat, wouldn't you say? We've gone full circle here!

As previously reported, the exhibit will feature artwork of Capcom characters illustrated by Tezuka Productions staff and Tezuka characters by Capcom staff. Special commemorative merchandise will be available to purchase as well. This unique, collaborative exhibit opens its doors on October 23rd, 2020. It will end on February 23rd, 2021.

If you happen to be in Japan in the near future, you can reserve a ticket here! And please, snap some pictures!

  1. I still say Mega Man looks more classic and with clearer direction than Astro Boy without the art style exchange any day.

But with the artstyle switch it's a novel sight and cool nonetheless.

  2. Seeing Astro Boy like that makes me almost wanna see him in DiVE...

But the artwork on both sides looks great!

    1. That would'nt be the worst choice for a collab. Maybe some day, if dive meets enough success to get theses kind of crossover.

  3. Astro looks weird with big bright light blue eyes like that. Is that Rock in cosplay? I mean he does have the Mega Man helmet ear things.
