Mega Man 8-bit Deathmatch Gameplay

The other day, we took a quick peek at Mega Man 8-bit Deathmantch, the upcoming multiplayer Doom mod from CutmanMike.  Now, courtesy of the YouTube community, some gameplay footage:

More information on Mega Man 8-bit Deatmatch, including a downloadable demo, available at the game's official site.  Bear in mind, it's in the alpha build stages, so things are likely subject to change before the final build is released in 2010.

Thanks, Tom Tom.

  1. This is shaping up to be a good project. Aside from the "Cutsman" in the title (Guts Man instead?), everything looks nice. It just has a good retro feel to it, and will be an interesting and fun mod to play. I was just wondering if it will only be LAN or can you play online?

  2. Simply awesome. I never was into DOOM, but I would have been had it instead been a Mega Man FPS and looked like this...

  4. Hi, I'm the developer of this mod. Yes you'll be able to play it online, host your own servers etc like with any Skulltag mod. Check out http://www.skulltag.com for more info on that.

The gameplay is a little slow but it should be better when I start work on this again. Can't believe it's stirred up this much attention... Check http://cutstuff.net some time next year and we should have something a little more playable :)

  5. This looks fun. I wanna play it's later versions, after the Beta, so I don't have to adapt to changes or have frustrations with glitches and stuff.
