Frank West Is Back...

Dead Rising's Frank West returns as a new playable character in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars. How does this relate to Mega Man? Watch the trailer and find out...

Yup, Frank dons his famous Mega Man X costume and unleashes some serious pain with a Servbot helmet. So gosh darn awesome!

TvC is scheduled to release in North America on January 26th, 2010.

  1. I was hoping to find out which Zero was going to be in the game so that maybe I will main him. But Frank West is intriguing me with his X Buster.

  4. Haha! That's hilarious! Was Frank West's voice always that annoying though? It's been a while since I played Dead Rising.

  5. At first I didnt like the idea of Frank West, but now that he pulls off these Mega attacks, so to speak, I have now accepted him into the ranks, lol. Frank, my dear, I do give a damn!

  7. Wow, a joke character got added in. Frank west? For real? And they couldn't add in any other actual recognisable character? Sure it's cool that he summons X or megaman or w/e and uses a servbot helm and all, but I don't see why he's suppose to represent mega or even use such attacks. It just doesn't seem right and way out of place. Oh well. Guess I'll be looking forward to the exe remake instead.

  8. He looks like he plays like a modified Jill. Should be fun, but his voice acting is sooo baad.

  9. So Capcom's gonna be like Tekken and have characters speak to each other in two different languages now? XD

  10. Frank is hilarious! I guess he's the replacement of Hakushon Daimao? Doronjo's blasting off with his "Dead Rising"!

  11. He said "Mega Buster", not "X Buster"....

  12. I actually kinda expected him to be able to attack with his camera, like Ran from Rival Schools. It would certainly be an interesting projectile.

  13. @Raiyu: I think it's obvious at this point that Zero IS in. Remember that leak not too long ago that confirmed Zero and Frank West, along with three other Tatsunoko characters who I can't remember? Well, two of the five leaks (Frank and one of the Tatsunoko's) have been confirmed.

  14. Yea, but which Zero is the question. I hope he gets Absolute Zero if it's the X version.

  15. Frank's fighting style is made of five billion wins!

Frank, Mega Man Volnutt, and Viewtiful Joe alone make this an instant purchase, IMO.

  16. @Fred: He says "Real Mega Buster".. which was the official name of the item in Dead Rising. (There was a fake "Mega Buster" in DR that shot foam darts at a movie theater in-game that was showing a Mega Man movie, plus helmets, etc.) To get the "Real Mega Buster" in game you have to kill 53,594 and finish the game and get an ending.. Look at the bright side: you don't have to win that many battles in order to use that attack! LOL..

@Boon: ....Frank in X costume is still not X. :P

@Anon1: Sounds like the original voice actor to me, and I loved the voice acting in the original DR, so... He's a bit over the top, but eh, he's covered wars, y'know? ;)

  17. @Wolfshadow:

@@Fred: 53,594 is the population of the real life town Dead Rising takes place in, to those that didn't know.

    @@Anon1: That's what I said!
