Mega Man X DiVE Celebrates First Anniversary with "DiVE Armor X"

The global version of Mega Man X DiVE debuted in the US, Canada, UK and Ireland on August 16, 2021. It was a rough launch to say the least. The development team at NebulaJoy managed to turn things around, however. It took some time to get off the ground but the game found its footing among Mega Man fans.

That said, we're getting ready to celebrate the North American server's one-year launch. The other servers get some highly anticipated characters next week too. There's a lot on the burner.

Dynamo Joins Mega Man X DiVE Next Week

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Development is 50% Complete

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection's announcement in June was met with a lot of positivity... and several unanswered questions. Many fans were left concerned due to the apparent lack of features (online multiplayer?) and games modes.

Now, thanks to the latest issue of Famitsu, we can say with certainty that the game is exactly 50% completion. That would explain why Capcom set a very vague 2023 release, let alone few in-depth details about the collection's content.

Jada Toys Teasing Mega Man Line Reveal at SDCC 2022

Premium action figure manufacturer Jada Toys are gearing up for a new Mega Man product line, it seems.

According to Toy News International, a classic series Mega Man logo was included in Jada Toys' San Diego Comic-Con press junket. This heavily implies we'll see something at their booth (#3746) next week.

If you want an idea of what could be in store for Mega Man, check out their recently-announced Street Fighter figures. Nifty stuff. Hard to say if Mega Man will be classic series focused or not. The above logo usually accompanies classic... but there have been a few exceptions in the past. Whatever the case, we'll keep an ear to the ground.

Any pie-in-the-sky figures you want to see from 'em?

"Swimsuit Ciel" Joins Rockman X DiVE's "Splendid Summer" Next Week

As previously reported, Swimsuit iCO is available starting today. And thanks to today's content update, we now know Swimsuit Ciel will join the game next week. Find all the details after the break!

English Translation Released for First Two Chapters of Rockman DASH Manhua

Several years after it began, the Rockman DASH manhua translation project is making headway. The first two chapters have been scanned, translated and uploaded to MangaDex courtesy of RockmanCosmo. You can check 'em out here!

The manhua is an officially-licensed, single volume book written and illustrated by Wu Heyi in 2000. It's a pretty faithful re-telling of Rockman DASH 1 with a few fun twists. For example, Rock faces off against Bon Bonne after trashing Tron's Feldynaught. It's different but it kinda works! Also, our boy can totally switch Special Weapons on the fly. Sorry, Roll.

Additional translated chapters are currently in the pipeline. Bookmark the page above and check back soon!

Teppen's 3rd Anniversary Brings "Rising Fire X" Skin to the Game

Teppen is celebrating its 3rd anniversary this month. To mark the occasion, GunHo Online and Capcom have prepared a bunch of new skins for some of the game's heroes, among other things

Players can try their luck using the free skin pack ticket to get one of twenty hero skins. Rising Fire X stands among the new duds. It's X's second skin next to the Double Cyclone.

When it comes to Mega Man X-themed cards, things are pretty dry right now. The previous card pack didn't feature any Mega Man X-themed cards, and the latest card pack —Super Spooky Village— only includes a single card.

RiCO Becomes Playable in Mega Man X DiVE's NA Server Next Week

In the midst of the X-Hunters event, the global version of Mega Man X DiVE shows no signs of giving players a rest. More characters are coming to the game next week.

While the Asian version released RiCO to celebrate its first anniversary, the global version won't be waiting for its respective anniversary milestone: RiCO's gacha capsule will be available in the NA server next Wednesday. The capsule comes packed with a single free 10-pull.

RiCO's first active skill is Data Recreation, which allows her to deploy an information window to pull a random skill from either Ultimate Armor X (Plasma Charge Shot), Awakened Zero (Genmu Zero) or Iris (Peaceful Wish).

Her second active skill is Data Analysis, which deploys a force-field that inflicts damage and absorbs energy from an enemy. What's more, one of her passive skills will "randomly remove a buff when hitting a target with your weapon attack"

The event stage "ViA's Deep Log Training" will be available at a later date.

When Kotobukiya's Mega Man X Fourth Armor Rising Fire Ver. was announced, it was accompanied by the kit above: Mega Man X Rising Fire Ver. Yoshihiro Iwamoto Rockman X2 Manga Re-Translation Completed

Hot on the heels of the Rockman EXE: Operate Shooing Star VS English translation, Azure Wind Productions finally completed the re-translation of Yoshihiro Iwamoto's Rockman X2 manga. The project took four solid months of hard work.

To date, Azure Wind productions successfully re-translated a number of manga. These include the Rockman X1 and Rockman X4 volumes, two previously untranslated chapters from the Rockman X3 manga (Mars and Ikaros) and the extra story "Holiday". The later is a story that was drawn and included in the 2005 reprint as a bonus.

That's all when it comes to Yoshihiro Iwamoto's Rockman X manga. But if you're a regular of Rockman Corner, you already know that Azure Wind translated the highly-regarded The Men Who Made Rockman, among other works.

While you wait for Azure Wind's eventual X3 re-translation, you can read the Rockman X2 manga, and all their translated works so far here!

One-Shot Manga Rockman EXE: Operate Shooting Star VS English Translation Released

Fan translation group Espresso Scans and Azure Wind Productions have released a full, English-translation of Rockman EXE: Operate Shooing Star VS. It's an obscure one-shot originally published in Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic Special in 2009.

Unlike any previous Rockman EXE manga, this short story takes place in the real world - the one we live in. It focuses on Amino Raito, a young boy who is determined to come out on top against a mutliplayer Operate Shooting Star battle with his rival Mieharu. The 32-page story is essentially a promo for the game, really. You won't find any kind of Takamisaki-style high stakes here.

All in all, it's an interesting, if not obscure commodity. Head over to Esspresso Scans here and check it out!

χ-kai- Joins Mega Man X DiVE Next Week

The leader of the X-Hunters is coming to all servers on the global version of Mega Man X DiVE next week. He started life as a collectible figure; and now,  χ-kai- will be playable! He'll be available from the gacha starting next Wednesday.

He shares gacha capsule with the Arc Cracker, a weapon based on Violen, one of the X-Hunters from Mega Man X2 and the A rank sprayer Virus Sprayer.

χ-kai-'s first active skill is "Charge Shot -kai-" which shoots an energy round that can invert the target's horizontal movement. It can even recover a portion of health.

Multi-Chasing Laser is his second active skill. It's an attack that launches, well, multi-chasing lasers. One passive skills allows him to gain a shield that grants invulnerability when in use.

What's more? During the next two weeks of X-Hunters event players can get the X-Hunters card and enough memories to unlock the Virus Sprayer.

You can watch the official trailer here!

Rie Tanaka Returns to Voice Ciel in Rockman X DiVE

It's no secret that some characters in Rockman X DiVE were distributed without voices because they lacked spoken dialogue in their original games. And in some case, like Iris, Forte and Ciel, intended recording sessions for new voiced lines were impacted by the COVID pandemic. Many were put on hold.

Iris received voiced lines in July 2020. Forte and his many iterations followed only a week ago. And now, it's finally time for Ciel to stop being mute because her original voice actress, Rie Tanaka, is back to voice her!

The last time Rie Tanaka was involved in the franchise was during the promotion of the Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection. She released a new version of Rockman Zero 4's ending vocal track, Freesia, and made a guest appearance in Capcom TV.

Ciel's voice will be implemented this Wednesday. Meanwhile, "Valentines Day Ciel" and "Christmas Ciel" will follow suit on June 29. You can check a preview of the new voice lines here!

His second active skill is Flame Round which shoots a flame round with a knee cannon to inflict damage.

Mega Man: The Power Battle and Power Fighters Seemingly Coming to Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium

Although not outright confirmed, it appears that both Mega Man: The Power Battle and Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters are headed to Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium.

Twitter user @Alumia_Italia, who regularly keeps tabs on backend data from the Microsoft Store, found images for several games slated to appear in Bundle 1. Chief among them are Power Battle and Power Fighters.

Pending official word from Capcom, we can't say for certain they're in. But, honestly, it wouldn't be totally unexpected. Perhaps we'll learn more during Capcom's Summer Showcase next week.  The event is expected to feature news and updates on previously announced titles.

Mega Man Legacy Collection Coming to Amazon Luna

Amazon Luna, the company's paid game streaming service, is getting another dose of the blue bomber. Mega Man Legacy Collection will be joining the platform in June, Amazon announced. It will coincide with Luna versions of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, among other titles.

Mega Man Legacy Collection is the second title in the franchise to join Luna, following Mega Man 11 last September. The collection will be available on the "Retro Channel" , a subscription tier that typically runs for $4.99 a month in the U.S.

There's nothing to suggest additional Mega Man titles will be added to Luna in the future. But it's interesting Legacy Collection 2 is sitting this one out. You'd think that wouldn't be too far behind for completion's sake.

Bandai Teasing New Rockman.EXE Action Figure

Bandai have announced plans to expand their popular Shokugan Modeling Project line into four different sublines. The fourth line, dubbed "Kit Makes Pose", will kick things off with a brand-new Rockman.EXE action figure.

Unfortunately, the company did not provide images of the figure itself. They've gone ahead and plastered Rockman.EXE's silhouette across various PR materials and an announcement trailer instead. There are no details on price, release date and availability at this time.

And that's pretty much all there is to say on this for now. The figure will boast a high degree of articulation and poseability, though. That should come as good news for collectors.

More news as it comes in. Stay tuned!
