There's More Evidence That Rockman X DiVE is Coming to PC/Steam

For the past few months, bits and pieces of Steam-related assets started to appear within Rockman X DiVE's game data, which heavily implied a Steam port was under development.

In March, numerous Steam strings were discovered in multiple languages. A few weeks later in early May, an icon for Steam integration surfaced. The most striking piece of evidence yet, however, was just recently slipped inside the most-recent update data: graphics for different game controllers with at least one aptly titled file name.

Rockman X DiVE -- Pallette Costume Design Contest Winners Announced!

As the tale goes, Pallette didn't have a special costume for the Bridal event and she wasn't happy about it. So the development team asked fans to design a new costume for her. While they never promised any of the winning costumes will end up in the game, per se, ten lucky winners did receive 1,000 EM in their in-game inbox.

The winners has been announced and you can see them after the break. If your design is among them, let us know in the comments!

Don't Give Up! You Can Still Get Mega Man Legends' OST on Vinyl!

The Mega Man Legends Official Soundtrack vinyl and audio cassette went up for pre-order earlier today. Aaaaand the vinyl has completely sold out. That's great news and a bit of a bummer all at once. But don't fret, my Legends friend! There's TWO more ways to get the OST on vinyl!

The first is through Light in the Attic. They're reportedly printing copies of the vinyl, too. Unique to their version, though, is that the records are clear. Transparent. It's the same content as the STSPC's run just see-through-ish.

The second method is through Black Screen Records. They, too, are offering a variant: "blue/light blue moon phase" vinyl. Again, same content just different vinyl designs.

So if you missed out on the vinyl and still want it, this is your next best option. There's currently no word if STSPC will offer a second print so you may want to jump on these ASAP. Click the links above to pre-order!

Thanks for the tip, Megamanmatthew and Conor!

Official Mega Man Legends OST Coming to Vinyl and Audio Cassette

What's this? Mega Man Legends news in... 2021? Indeed. Capcom and Ship to Shore PhonoCo. announced that the entire Mega Man Legends 1 soundtrack will be heading to vinyl and audio cassette! Not only that, they'll be up to pre-order tomorrow!

Both the vinly and cassette will be sold exclusively through Ship to Shore PhonoCo.'s online store. Pre-orders are expected to go live tomorrow, June 22nd, at 2pm ET! Simply bookmark this page and check back around then to grab yours!

This will be the first time since 1998 that Mega Man Legends 1's OST will be sold in a physical format. Better yet, it's the first time ever that it will be distributed in North America! A surprising announcement, but a welcome one! It's always good to see official Legends support.

Perhaps this is related to that new (i.e not *renewed*) trademark? Hm...

Capcom Seeking Licensing Partners for Mega Man's 35th Anniversary in 2022

It feels like, what, yesterday we were celebrating the 30th anniversary? Come next year, though, our blue fella turns 35... and it won't pass without some recognition.

Earlier this week, Capcom Japan started the process of recruiting licensing partners for Mega Man's 35th anniversary. A message at the bottom of the company's official Mega Man licensing page reads, "2022 marks the 35th anniversary of Mega Man series. We are looking for licensees who would like to celebrate it by creating special products and events."

Capcom previously put a similar call out to license holders back in 2016 for Mega Man X's 25th anniversary and again in 2020 for Mega Man Battle Network's 20th. Mega Man X's 25th was marked by Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1+2 and a plethora of licensed goods. Meanwhile, projects intended for Battle Network's 20th have been delayed indefinitely due to the impact of COVID-19. The company issued a statement in March, asking fans to remain patient.

Video game-wise, we have a rough idea of what 2022 could bring (and then some). The all-ominous "Taisen" project has the makings of an anniversary flagship title, what with it's massive budget and all. (I can't disclose those bits here. You're on your own)  Rockman XZ: Time Rift is on track to release on iOS/Android in China between 2022 and 2023. Rockman X DiVE appears to be inching closer and closer to a PC/Steam port. On the "Legacy Collection" front... well, you never know.

For now, folks, hang in there. There's stuff on the burner.

Hunt "Magnamalo Sigma" Next Week in the Rockman X DiVE & Monster Hunter Rise Collaboration

We got a little glimpse a few days ago and now, with the release of this new trailer, we have our best look yet at the boss from the Rockman X DiVE x Monster Hunter Rise collab event!

According to the story, the Monster Hunter Rise data has mixed with the Deep Log data giving birth to Magnamalo Sigma. It's a combination of the first Raid Boss in Rockman X DiVE, Wolf-Sigma, and the fanged wyvern Magnamalo from Monster Hunter Rise.

Beyond that, the trailer also give us a good look at the mid-boss which is a special version of Mettaur Gigant. Hunter V and Hunter R seem to be using voices from Monster Hunter Rise and the stage has new gimmick to traverse -- the Wirebug from Monster Hunter Rise, too! How appropriate!

Are you ready to hunt this terrifying creature? Let us know in the comments!

"Rockman XZ: Time Rift" is a 2D ARPG, Coming 2022-2023 (China, Mobile)

On the heels of this weekend's surprising bit news, a representative with developer NebulaJoy has provided Rockman Corner with a few minor details on Rockman XZ: Time Rift.

Reportedly, the game is a 2D action RPG with a predominate focus on a single-player, "console-like" experience. Much like NebulaJoy's recently-released Capcom-licensed title Devil May Cry: Pillar of Combat, Rockman XZ: Time Rift will incorporate optional online "PvP" game modes. A "small selection" of playable characters will be available at the player's disposal. The company would not, however, comment on whether or not characters from both Rockman X and Rockman Zero series will appear. While that's largely assumed to be the case, specifics are under lock and key. For now.

That said, Rockman XZ: Time Rift will be formally unveiled later this year. A closed beta will be available in China soon after. The game itself isn't expected anytime soon, though. NebulaJoy have sights set on a 2022-2023 window, targeting "next generation mobile hardware". There are no plans for a console or PC version, let alone availability outside of China... initially.

And that's all that can be said for now. No telling when we'll have an update. We'll keep you posted.

Let's Go Hunting with the Rockman X DiVE & Monster Hunter Rise Collaboration

Announced a few months ago and teased this past Monday, the first Rockman X DiVE collaboration with another Capcom IP is here! Its none other than Monster Hunter -- Capcom's second best-selling franchise.

"Rockman XZ: Time Rift" in Development for Mobile (Update)

Well this just... completely flew under everyone's radar.

An officially-licensed Rockman game titled "Rockman XZ: Time Rift" is reportedly in development at NebulaJoy (aka Yunchang Games). The company quietly announced the title's production on September 4th, 2020. The news coincided with confirmation that Tencent became NebulaJoy's second-largest shareholder.

NebulaJoy are no stranger to working with Capcom's portfolio. They recently completed development on Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat for iOS and Android. Rockman XZ: Time Rift is poised to become the company's second licensed Capcom title.

Beyond the above logo, no other information about Rockman XZ: Time Rift was shared. We genuinely have no idea what it is nor has there been ANY update since that September 4th announcement. But, hey, it's worth pointing out that the game's logo is super interesting. It incorporates BOTH the X series "X" and the Zero series "Z". Are we looking at a possible X/Zero series crossover/tie-in? The whole "Time Rift" subtitle seems pretty on the nose, too.

So yeah. Eight months later and this... kinda came out of left field and went. Pending further information, it is VERY difficult to say if Time Rift remains in active development, delayed or cancelled. We'll be keeping an ear to the ground, though.

UPDATE: According to a late December 2020 post, Rockman XZ: Time Rift will be formally revealed sometime this year. It's anticipated to launch in China close to or alongside a licensed Batman mobile title. Additionally, NebulaJoy recently posted positions for designers and planners with experience in "horizontal action games". These posting aren't outright for XZ Time Rift, but it's easy to assume so.

Mega Man X: Corrupted "Sea Wreckage" Gameplay

In the absence of an official Mega Man X title (c'mon, Capcom), fan-game Mega Man X: Corrupted continues to unhinge jaws everywhere. Developer JKB Games recently posted a full-walkthrough of the Sea Wreckage stage featuring Zero -- and it hits all the right notes. From level design and animation to the music and SFX, there's a little something here for everyone.

No further updates on a release date were provided at this time. Each day, however, brings us one step closer. Let's continue to give JKB Games our support!

For now, you can find additional gameplay and the like from the developer's official YouTube channel.

Rockman X DiVE "Pallette Costume" Design Contest Announced

Art friends, want something fun to do this weekend? The Rockman X DiVE dev team are looking to give Pallette a brand-new costume to commemorate the "Burning Bride of June" event. They're asking you - yes, you - to design it!

Why Pallette? She's the main boss of this event. As the story goes, she's fuming with rage that, unlike Alia and Layer, she didn't get a "bridal gown" of her very own. Yeah. So it's apparently up to you to design something nice. It doesn't have to be a wedding gown; just something wholly original. Your submission cannot be stolen art, in other words.

Those interested in participating can grab the Pallette template and submit it to this Facebook thread. (you can also see other fans' entries, too). Ten winners will be selected on June 22nd. Each will receive 1,000 Elemental Metals via in-game mailbox.

Have fun!

Mega Man "Cable Guy" Holder Available to Pre-Order

First announced way back in January, the officially-licensed Mega Man "Cable Guy" holder is primed and ready for pre-order via EXG. It'll set you back a cool $25 USD... but, if you use the code 'adzz15', you can slash 15% off! It's expected to ship in July.

As you might have guessed, this figure is more or less designed to hold your stuff. Controllers, phones, TV remotes, cards or whatever you can fit in Mega Man's tiny hands. It can even charge USB-C compatible devices, too! Seems like a neat little commodity if you're in the market for a charger or something.

If you like what you see, there's several other video game and pop-culture-themed holders as well. Check 'em out here!

Capcom Live E3 2021 Showcase Announced for June 14th

Capcom will be presenting their E3 2021 showcase live on June 14th at 2:30 PDT (US time). The stream will feature news on their latest games, including the recently announced The Great Ace Attorney, Monster Hunter Stories 2, Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil Village.

No word if we'll see anything from the Mega Man front. However, we are anticipating the next major title in the franchise to launch between mid to late 2022. Tentatively dubbed "Rockman Taisen" (Taisen in this context= "versus", "war", "bout", "battle" "match-up"), this elusive project came to light during the November 2020 data breach. It's still a ways out there so no telling if E3 2021 is too soon or not.

We also have the unannounced Rockman X DiVE Steam port. I don't see E3 as the "right" venue for that kind of announcement, though. Maybe one of the DiVE YouTube streams we hear from time to time. Your guess is as good as mine.

In terms of Mega Man Battle Network stuff... eh. I wouldn't be too hopeful. We're still in the thick of the recently-confirmed delayed. Considering we've yet to hear anything from certain partner products -- the highly-anticipated Rockman.EXE Kotobukiya kit comes to mind -- I don't foresee E3 being the end-all-be all moment we've been waiting for. I really think these delayed announcements will be grouped together via a Rockman Unity Twitter thread, a post or something. E3 is not the place.

Whether or not E3 brings news, take heart that there's different things in the pipeline. We shall see.

Mega Man Battle Network 20th anniversary announcements may be delayed, but the slow drip of licensed goods continues. This time, it's a pair of brand-new Roll.EXE and Mayl stickers! They're part of Capcom's ongoing line of B-Side label stickers, illustrated by Jbstyle

If you want to add the dynamic duo to your collection, you can pre-order them from AmiAmi and Play Asia. They're due out later in September. The back-catalog of B-Style stickers is really slick, too. You can find those from the links above as well!

Thanks for the tip, Susie!

Here's the Box Art for "Making Mega Man: Code Legend"

A thing of beauty, isn't it? This is the very first image of the English-language version for Capcom and Artec's Making Mega Man: Code Legend. Artec are open to thoughts and feedback from fans -- but, really, what's not to love here? It looks great!

The Making Mega Man: Code Legend tool kit is slated to ship later in July. There's still time left to pre-order a copy from the official Kickstarter page. Only 1,000 units are expected to be produced, however, so you might want to jump on this soon.

While not a guarantee, Artec have expressed interest in offering additional kits on other platforms. We'll be keeping an ear out for that. For now, though, pre-ordering through Kickstarter is the only method to obtain a copy of the English-language version. There's four different tiers to choose from but a minimum "pledge" of $204 gets you the kit, ten how-to guidebooks and a 20% early bird discount.

Want to learn more about Making Mega Man: Code Legend? Watch the overview trailer here or check out the Kickstarter page!

Mega Man: Fully Charged Episodes 1-26 Now Available on Amazon

Roughly two years after the show's conclusion, WildBrain and Dentsu Entertainment are finally - *finally* - freeing Mega Man: Fully Charged from the confines of Cartoon Network. Too little, too late? Yes. But this is pretty good news!

Mega Man "Youtooz" Figure Delayed Due to Painting Issue

The officially-licensed Mega Man Youtooz figure was supposed to drop on January 22nd, 2021. The day came and went and... nothing. No one who pre-ordered the figure got it, let alone a shipping notification. The manufacturer had nothing to say on the situation, either. It was really weird.

But now, friends, we have an actual update!

Five months later, Youtooz just sent an e-mail out to everyone who pre-ordered the figure. Apparently -- and you can read their own words after the break -- a paint-related issue was found during inspections. The issue was so significant that Youtooz had to go back and re-paint every figure from scratch.

The process will reportedly be complete within the next few weeks. After that, they will ship your figure. You can expect it to arrive within the following 5 to 15 days depending on your location.

All in all, the situation has been sorted out. That empty spot on your shelf will soon be filled at last... but, hey, it's a bit of a bummer this wasn't communicated earlier? Meh. Hit the jump below for more info.
