Kotobukiya Zero 1st Ver. Limited Edition Revealed (Updated)

Kotobukiya is bringing back Zero 1st Version with a fresh coat of paint — literally.

This new Limited Edition release swaps the original colors for pearlescent and metallic finishes, recreating Zero’s charged-up appearance. To complete the look, the kit also includes an all-new Spiral Crush Buster effect part, which Kotobukiya touts as the largest effect part in its Mega Man X model kit lineup to date.

That’s not all. The included face parts feature newly adjusted eye directions, offering a little more variety for posing. The leg joints have also been updated, with two sets included in the box. These can be used to upgrade Mega Man X Zero, Zero Nightmare Ver., and Black Zero kits.

Zero 1st Version Limited Edition is expected to ship in January 2027. Pre-orders are currently available directly from Kotobukiya, with additional retailers likely to follow soon. UPDATE: Big Bad Toystore pre-orders are open!

Rockman EXE 25th Anniversary Commemorative Edo Kiriko Glasses Revealed

Campfire’s Japanese goods shop Yuruwa has announced a pair of Edo Kiriko glasses based on Rockman.EXE and Blues.EXE to commemorate the series' 25th anniversary. Each glass is limited to 150 pieces and comes packaged in a special paulownia wood box.

The Rockman glass comes in lapis blue, with digital block-style detailing, Rockman’s silhouette, and his Navi mark on the bottom. The Blues version comes in deep red, with Blues’ silhouette, his Navi mark, and traditional cuts meant to evoke the sharp slashes of his sword.

Both glasses are priced at 59,400 yen each, including tax. Pre-orders opened on May 28th at 6:00 PM JST and run through June 28th at 11:59 PM JST, with shipping planned for mid-to-late December 2026.

Ordering from outside Japan may not be easy, if it’s possible at all. Still, for diehard EXE collectors, this is one to keep an eye on, especially with only 150 of each design being made.

Review: Kotobukiya Zero (1st Ver.)

Kotobukiya's newest release is finally here, and this time, it's Zero. But this isn't just any Zero. This is the one that started it all! Official Mega Man: Dual Override Hoodie References 'Override System'

The drip-feed of miscellaneous Mega Man: Dual Override merchandise continues with the reveal of an official pullover hoodie exclusive to e-Capcom. Styled after Mega Man’s updated look in the game, the hoodie also includes a couple of details worth pointing out.

Most obvious is the “12” front and center, another not-so-subtle nod to Dual Override being the 12th mainline entry in the classic series. More intriguing, though, is the mention of an “Override System” printed across the drawstrings. It does not shed any new light on what “Dual Override” specifically refers to, but it is the clearest sign yet that the term is tied to something substantial within the game itself, and possibly to Mega Man’s abilities.

What exactly the Override System is remains anyone’s guess for now, but if you ask me, it has all the makings of the game’s central mechanic, much like Mega Man 11’s Double Gear System.

X-Plus Gigantic Series Rockman Reissue Announced

In 2015, X-Plus released what was, at the time, the largest commercially available Rockman figure as part of its Gigantic Series. Standing 14 inches tall, the figure has been out of print for years, but later this summer, it’s getting another shot.

E-Capcom has announced a reissue of the figure, scheduled to ship in late July for 16,500 yen (about $103 USD). This is the same release as the original 2015 version, complete with the alternate helmetless head part. The price is also notably lower than what it typically goes for on the secondhand market. As an added bonus, E-Capcom is including a rubber keychain featuring a cute chibi-style Rockman.

Right now, the reissue appears to be exclusive to E-Capcom, though that could change. If it doesn’t, international buyers will need to order through ZenMarket, which serves as E-Capcom’s preferred proxy service. UPDATE: Pre-orders up on Big Bad Toystore.

First Mega Man: Dual Override Goods Coming in October

Capcom quietly dropped pre-orders for three new pieces of Dual Override merchandise on E-Capcom this morning, all based on the game’s key art. Interestingly, some of the items feature a less-cropped version of the illustration, giving us a clearer look at Mega Man’s Mega Buster and lower body.

The lineup includes a muffler towel, an NFC-enabled keychain that unlocks AR content when scanned with a phone, letting fans take photos with Mega Man and listen to a looping piece of music from Dual Override, and a simple tote bag that looks well-suited for travel.

All three items are currently slated to ship on October 15 and, for now, appear to be exclusive to Japan.

Blokees Shooting Star Mega Man and Zero Revealed

Blokees revealed today articulated figures of Shooting Star Mega Man and Zero series Zero at the 2026 Spielwarenmesse Toy Fair. Both figures will be part of the “Champion Class” line, standing between 5.5 and 6 inches tall.

Blokees is giving these characters a more angular look — and in Zero’s case, a more mechanical one — with finer details and sharper sculpting. They still stay true to their core game designs, but unlike Kotobukiya or earlier Sentinel releases, these figures have a style that’s distinctly their own.

At this time, pricing and a release date have not been announced. In the meantime, you can find more images below!

Blokees Announces New Mega Man Line

Earlier in 2025, we shared a piece of news that wasn’t meant to go public yet—specifically, it wasn’t supposed to be out there until a certain game was revealed. We had to scrub it pretty fast… but now it’s official: Mega Man Blokees are coming.

Blokees has announced a collaboration with Mega Man, with the line set to be revealed at the world’s largest international toy fair, Spielwarenmesse 2026, in Nuremberg, Germany. The fair will be held from January 27th to the 31st. 

Blokees is known for blind-box mini figures, build-and-display kits with articulation and display stands, and larger action-figure-style kits based on a wide range of IP, including Transformers, Saint Seiya, Ultraman, and Evangelion.

Kotobukiya Preparing to Announce New Rockman Kits in February

It’s been nearly two years since Kotobukiya last did a Rockman stream. The previous one brought a ton of new model kit announcements, plus a mystery kit we still haven’t learned anything about. But now they’re back: Rockman Plastic Model Talk Live returns on February 14 to reveal what’s next.

Grandista MegaMan.EXE Figure Revealed

Banpresto is following up the metallic classic Mega Man with another Grandista release: MegaMan.EXE. Stock photos have begun circulating through overseas distributors and retailers, though details like pricing and a release window haven’t surfaced just yet.

From what we can see, the figure stands at about 24 cm (roughly 9.44 inches), making it a little taller than the classic Mega Man Grandista, which comes in at around 8.7 inches.

Good Smile Reveals Pop Up Parade Mega Man Figure (Updated)

Good Smile has unveiled a new Mega Man figure for their Pop Up Parade line, posed after the classic Mega Man 1 title screen. The little guy stands at 100mm (about 3.94 inches), comes with a display stand, and if you order directly from Good Smile, you’ll also get an exclusive Mega Buster arm part.

It’s priced at $33.99 and scheduled to ship sometime between September and December 2026. Pre-orders are open now through December 23rd.

Rockman EXE Sumi-e Style Goods Revealed

Shibuya Tsutaya, a branch of the Tsutaya bookstore chain, will host a limited-time pop-up shop for a new Rockman EXE merchandise line inspired by sumi-e (Japanese ink-wash painting) from December 2nd through January 29, 2026.

The lineup includes postcards, metal stickers, acrylic stands, badges, and T-shirts, among other items. Unfortunately, none of them feature new artwork.
