Rockman EXE: Programs of Light and Darkness Movie to Stream on YouTube April 7th

More fun news, EXE crew! For the first time ever, the Rockman EXE theatrical movie, Rockman EXE: Programs of Light and Darkness, will stream for free on Capcom Japan's YouTube channel on April 7th. The stream kicks off at 21:00 JST.

It's currently unknown whether English subtitles will be available. The movie was never distributed outside of Japan, primarily due to the lack of an NT Warrior equivalent to Rockman EXE Stream. While fan-subs have been around for some time, an official release with subtitles would be highly appreciated by many.

We'll keep you posted if anything pops up. Stay tuned!

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Off-Screen Images - Trophies, Mystery Data Gallery & More

New Mega Man Battle Network Manga Chapter Released

A brand-new chapter of the Mega Man NT Warrior manga has just been released in English, penned once again by Ryo Takamisaki.

The story takes place 20 years after the events of the original manga's final chapter, and follows the gang as they attend their 20-year reunion at DenTech Academy. The chapter also features Takamisaki's take on Patch Hikari - Lan and Mayl's son. Be sure to check out the complete English translation right here

Kudos to Capcom for distributing the chapter in Japanese and English simultaneously. This is an unprecedented and remarkable move, especially considering it has been decades since Takamisaki's work has been officially translated into English.

Truly, Battle Network fans are eating well.

Rockman EXE Advanced Collection TV Commercial is a Real Tearjerker

Capcom Japan published the official commercial for the highly-anticipated Rockman EXE Advanced Collection, which will definitely stir up feelings of nostalgia. Its also a reminder of how much time has passed since the original release, making some of us realize just how old we've become. (A second version focused on the anime can be found here)

Nonetheless, the ad is heartwarming and indicative of Capcom's commitment to Advanced Collection, as it's the first commercial for *any* Legacy Collection... not to mention the first EXE ad in over fifteen years.

Only a couple weeks left!

Mega Man NT Warrior English Dub Finally Arrives on YouTube

Good on their promise, Capcom USA has uploaded every episode of Mega Man NT Warrior and Mega Man NT Warrior Axess on YouTube -- for free.

If you're interested in checking them out, you can find the playlist for season 1 here, and season 2 (Axess) here. These episodes will no longer be available to watch after September 23rd, 2023.

Do keep in mind that the first episode of Axess is presented in Japanese with English subtitles. For reasons not currently known, the dubbed version is unavailable. Also of note, Capcom went so far as to include Axess episode 30 "AquaMan in Love", which never aired in the United States during the show's tenure at Kids WB.

The Mega Man NT Warrior Twitch marathon presented by Capcom USA concludes tomorrow, March 24th. Although there is no official confirmation, several fans are optimistic that the event will end with news regarding availability of the series on additional streaming platforms or a DVD/Blu-ray release. We'll keep an ear to the ground.

How Those Obscure Mobile Rockman Games Play: A First-Hand Account

Guest post by RockmanCosmo

During the early 2000s, feature phone gaming gained popularity in Japan, with some of the first cell phones connecting to mobile internet providers like DoCoMo's i-mode and KDDI's EZweb. Each provider had its own storefront for downloading and purchasing video games, many of which were designed specifically for on-the-go gaming. The Rockman franchise was no exception to this trend.

Today, I'll be observing some of these obscure Rockman games with insights from NAO, who owns the hardware for many of these old titles. Although his phone is currently out of commission, he recorded some great gameplay, embedded below.

Mega Man Powered Up User-Created Stages Have Been Saved

After being online for 16 years, Capcom officially closed the Mega Man Powered Up servers on November 30, 2022. Many of us were understandably worried about losing the thousands of user-created stages. But good news! I'm happy to share that everything - and I do mean everything - has been safely preserved for posterity. Read on for the lowdown!

First 4 Figures Teasing New, Upgraded Mega Man X Statue

Compared to the recent Mega Man X4-inspired Zero statue, First 4 Figures' original X piece looks a little... meh. But come later this year, that's about to change.

Alex Davis, a member of the First 4 Figures team, recently shared the above behind-the-scenes image on the F4F Official Collectors Club Facebook page. Horrifying it may be, the accompanying text brought the necessary context: "X is coming later this year!

In addition to the refreshed X statue, Alex also revealed that his design team is currently working on conceptualizing a Full Armor X statue. Alex intends to present the concept to the Facebook group in a few weeks and if there's enough interest, the project will be given the go-ahead.

To keep your appetites whet till then, Alex is asking fans to signup to be notified when the upgraded X goes on sale. Everyone that does gets 10% off their order.

Kotobukiya Full Armor X Review

Released at the tail-end of January 2023, Kotobukiya's Full Armor X is the newest addition to the Rockman X model kit line. From what I've seen, some people have been waiting for this particular armor since the beginning of the line. But was it worth the wait?

Join me after the break as I outline exactly what it absolutely was worth the wait and why it might be the best kit yet.

Mega Man X Mobile Now Available on Android

Twelve years after launching on iOS, Capcom's "enhanced" mobile port of Mega Man X has finally made its way to Android. The game, which is by no means the ideal way to experience the SNES classic, can be purchased from the Google Play Store for $9.99 US

Although it appears to be identical in terms of content to its iOS counterpart, the $9.99 price tag is somewhat surprising. It's more expensive. I dunno; your guess is as good as mine.

It's unclear why Capcom chose to release the Android version twelve years later. But if you're interested, go wild I guess. Like I said, it's not an ideal port. There are many other superior alternatives to play X1.

Rare Rockman EXE Happy Meal Commercial Found

For as long as Rockman Corner has been online, I've been keeping track of seldom seen Mega Man and Rockman commercials. And today I'm adding one more to the mix.

A somewhat long-lost McDonald's Japan commercial for the 2005 Rockman EXE Happy Meal toys has been found. Although glimpses of this spot have surfaced in the past, it's remained pretty elusive until now. But here it is, complete with Ronald McDonald slotting-in a Battle Chip and Akiko Kimura (Rockman.EXE) exclaiming "I'm lovin' it!" in Japanese. Good stuff.

If you want to hunt down the toys themselves, eBay, Yahoo Auctions and Mercari are your best bet. The toys also saw a limited run in Brazil under the Mega Man NT Warrior label too. So if you come across any with the NT Warrior branding, you can be confident that they're authentic. Happy hunting!

Before the Final Showdown, Rockman X DiVE's ViA Reveals His True Form

ViA has been a mystery since day one; scheming from the shadows and preparing "the player" for a final confrontation. And now, that time is almost upon us.

In a scene from the latest story mode chapters (Chapter 20-4 and 20-5), RiCO and "the player" managed to extract the Robot Destroy Program from ViA. This led to a battle against the "Last Irregular Data", i.e the Sigma Virus. ViA appears before them sporting a brand-new armor and a clearly visible face. He is battle-ready for the final confrontation...

... It remains to be seen if the release of 20-6 will mark the end of the current story arc or the story mode altogether.

The development team hasn't made an announcement yet when we can expect to go toe to toe with ViA one more time. However, considering there will be no maintenance next week and the current DiVE Armor Iris capsule ends on February 1st, it's safe to assume the last Story Mode chapter (and most likely a playable version of the new ViA) will drop on February 1st.

Let us now what you think of this new revelation in the comments!

Icon Heroes Mega Man X2 Ride Chaser Diorama Available to Pre-Order

If you've got $600 to burn in your pocket (I mean, who doesn't?), Icon Heroes has a new Mega Man X2-themed diorama coming up

This limited edition statue is made of polystone and hand-painted, making each one unique. It measures 11.1 inches tall, 15.9 inches wide and 16.5 inches deep. The scene is inspired by Mega Man X2, with X blazing through a downed Crash Roader. Pre-orders are available directly from Icon Heroes. It ships sometime in Q3 2023.

I'll be perfectly honest here: this looks very rough. There's no solid indication whether or not the images represent the final product. The concept is neat, certainly. But $600 for this? From X's awkward proportions and pose to the cake-like texture work, let's just say there's plenty of room for improvement.

I'll keep ya posted if anything changes...

My Arcade Mega Man 1-6 "Micro Player" and "Mini Player" Revealed

Another day, another re-release of Mega Man 1-6. This time in the form of My Arcade's retro "Micro Player" tabletop and "Mini Player" portable console.

Announced and showcased at CES 2023, these tiny versions of the first six Mega Man games will be available later this year through My Arcade's website, Amazon, and in-store retailers. My Arcade's similar products typically range from $40 to $60, so it's likely that these will fall within that range as well.

If you're not burned out on re-buying Mega Man 1-6 yet, maybe these will do the trick. But I will say, these aren't too difficult to mod. You could always load 'em up with more games...

Fan-Game Mega Man X Innocent Impulse is a Colorful, Open-World Romp

Mega Man X Innocent Impulse is a fan-game that's been on the burner for a few years -- and it's shaping up quite nicely.

Created by a dedicated group of fans, Innocent Impulse offers players the chance to explore an 2D open-world filled with collectibles and Mavericks to hunt. Interestingly, the game takes some inspiration from the Mega Man Xtreme duology -- that's something we don't see too often.

There's a short playable demo available to download from the game's itchio page. A second demo is due sometime later this month. The footage in the trailer above comes from that very build! In the meantime, demo #1 is primed and ready for ya.

Check it out! And good luck to Solren, Tommycase and the rest of the team!

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection: Interview with Masakazu Eguchi

Import Options for Rockman EXE Advanced Collection Limited Edition

It can be a bit tricky ordering items from E-Capcom if you don't live in Japan. Fortunately, there are a couple alternatives, especially if you're looking to import the Japan-exclusive Rockman EXE Advanced Collection "We Are Always Connected" limited edition set.

Aitai Kuji recently began accepting orders for both the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 bundles, each priced at 12,00 yen (roughly $91.60 US). The E-Capcom exclusive Battle Chip keychain is included. Aitai Kuji will also carry the standalone drinking glass and coaster set

Nin-Nin Game is another option. But at this time, both the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 sets are sold out. It remains to be seen if they'll offer additional stock before April. Bookmark the page(s) and keep tabs on 'em just in case.

I've ordered from both stores before; they're good. Nin-Nin shipping can be a little hit and miss. It was really contingent on the time of year, I think. If not from these two stores, you can always try your hand at eBay or Yahoo! Japan Auctions.
