Rockman-chan Chapter 17 (Part 3) Now Available

The latest chapter of Rockman-chan brings the Light family "vacations" in France to a conclusion.

Rockman and the "Silver Mega Man" team-up to defeat the Anko and Mecha Dragon from Mega Man 2's European box art. They shake hands under the sunset with the "Arc de Triomphe" behind them. Perhaps they will meet again one day.

Not much else to say than that! You can check out the chapter in Japanese here!

First 4 Figures Teasing New, Updated Zero Statue

Out with the old and in with the new! First 4 Figures is reportedly giving Zero another go. An updated statue is in the works, and it's aiming to be "light years" ahead of the ill-fated 2019 version (previously cancelled due to poor sculpt quality.).

"Second time's a charm," writes F4F's Alex Davis on Facebook. "This version is light years ahead of the original one and really shows how much better it is with the dream team handling the creatives instead of me! Cant wait til the full reveal - second half of the year I think!"

Alex's post was accompanied by the above image. It's still in early development, but you can definitely see the improvement from the hair alone. This will be one to watch for.

Thanks for the tip, Swirls!

Teppen's Latest Card Pack Brings RiCO to the Game

The final act of Teppen's "War of the Goddess" trilogy is due on March 1st and it brings a new card pack called "Defying the Light". As always, there's plenty of amazing artwork to look forward to. But this time is special. Rockman X DiVE's very own navigator, RiCO, is jumping from the Deep Log to the Land of Illusion!

Double DiVE Festival Coming to Mega Man X DiVE This Week

There's a double-dose of DiVE Festivals dropping on Mega Man X DiVE this week.

This week the NA server sees the return of "The Savior Has Come" event, the first rerun in the Global Version. What's more? The DiVE Festival brings Copy X to the game as a playable character. He was first introduced as a boss.

Copy X's first active skill is Charge Shot which unleashes an energy round that can be charged to deal extra damage. The charge shot's element can be changed depending on the skill card equipped; fire, ice or lighting. The target will burn, become slow or be rendered immobile, respectively.

The second active skill is Nova Strike. It charges forward and damages all targets in your way. Using Nova Strike will let you stack the effect "savior". After stacking "savior" three times, your next Nova Strike will deal extra damage. You'll also gain a shield that grants invulnerability.

When it comes to the EU/LATAM Server, we'll see the arrival of Third Armor X. He's packed with the active skills Cross Charge Shot and Hyper Chip. The latter grants 25% increased attack and defense for 15 seconds, and even permits X to perform an extra movement in the air.

As always when a DiVE Festival takes place in the Global Version, players will get one free 10-pull. Good luck!

Angepitoyeir Joins Rockman X DiVE

Original Rockman X DiVE character Angepitoyeir stepped out of the shadows during the "Host of Annihilation Droitclair" event back in January, and now he'll be playable starting this week. I don't believe his design will leave anyone indifferent.

Mega Man 11 is Playable on Steam Deck, MMX Legacy Collection 2 Isn't

With Valve's Steam Deck around the corner, the number of "Verified" games has naturally increased. And out of the many Mega Man games from the Steam Library, Mega Man 11 is the first to be Verified. In other words, it's fully compatible with the device.

Conversely, only one other Mega Man game has been deemed incompatible: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2. Valve's Deck Testing indicates that the game may not function properly, if at all. It remains to be seen if this is a temporary setback or something that can be amended in the future. But for this initial launch period, X Legacy Collection 2 is a no-go.

As we wait to hear back from the remaining Mega Man games, you can keep tabs on other Deck-supported software via SteamDB

"Battle Story Rockman EXE" Manga Now Available Digitally

Battle Story Rockman EXE has joined the ever-expanding bookshelf of Rockman manga with an official digital release.

The three volumes penned by Jun Keijima and illustrated by Miho Asada are now available on Amazon Japan, Book Walker and other Japanese digital store fronts for 1,540 yen each. That's roughly $13.30 or 11,70€.

Originally published in four volumes from 2002 to 2004 and later compiled into three volumes in 2017, this manga gave us another take of the events of Rockman EXE 1-4.  A few chapters were based on Rockman EXE Battle Chip GP as well (known in the west as Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge).

These last few years have seen a big influx of digital Rockman manga releases. Rockman X, Rockman EXE and Rockman 8and of course Hitoshi's Ariga Rockman Megamix, Gigamix and Maniax. And because Battle Story's digital release pertain to the Fukkan reprints, next in line could be Rockman 7 or the Rockman ZX manga.

Keep your eyes peeled for more!

Rockman X1 Manga Re-Translation Completed

Azure Wind Productions have successfully retranslated Yoshihiro Iwamoto's Rockman X1 manga adaptation. As the successor to Dr. Neko's decades-old translation, this new version provides a more accurate representation of Iwamoto's original script. The pages have been scanned at a much higher resolution, too! Check it out here.

As previously reported, Azure Wind Productions intend on re-translating/scanning the Rockman X2 and Rockman X3 manga as well. They finished X4 in early January, in addition to two previously untranslated X3 chapters: Mars and Ikaros. It'll be a little longer before X2 and X3 are done, so go ahead and give X4 a read if you haven't already.

The "Men Who Made Rockman" is available in English for the first time, too! It's a super for fun, informative mini-series. You'll be in for a good time!

Good luck and well wishes to the Azure Wind crew. We appreciate you!

Dr. Cossack and Kalinka Join Rockman-san in Newest Chapter

We saw them previously in Rockman-chan and now, Dr. Cossack and Kalinka have made the jump to Rockman-san just as the story gears up for something big.

Continuing the previous chapter's story, Dr. Light is experimenting with new materials in order to build a new suit for Rock, having previously submitted a full-armor proposal to the government. The secretary of defense declares it "not ideal" as it goes against the idea of Rockman as a symbol.

With other laboratories being consulted on the matter, Dr. Cossack contacts Dr. Light to offer him help. However, it turns out that he's not living such an easy life either. The rising robot rebellion has had an adverse affect on Coassack, with his computers being hacked every day. For precaution, he is upgrading one of his robots —Ring Man.

After the doctors end their conversation, Guts Man barges into the room and tells Dr. Light that he wants to be "upgraded" so he can help Rockman in the upcoming battle. Dr. Light and Rock agree that Guts Man skills are better placed in rebuilding the city should the need arise, but they will consider the option.

Looks like some excitement is around the corner! You can check out this new chapter here!

Full-Frame Mega Man X4 Cutscenes Are a Sight to Behold

Nearly 25 years after it was published, a fun surprise was discovered inside an unsuspecting Japanese Mega Man X4 guidebook. Apparently, it features several frames from the game's animated cutscenes in full 4:3. These scenes were presented in 16:9 in the game itself, leaving some finer details cropped out of frame (such as the pool of "blood" from Double's victim).

Let's have a look...

Go Behind the Scenes of Rockman X DiVE's New Monster Hunter Rise Event

We're entering the second week of Rockman X DiVE's new Monster Hunter Rise event. They discuss how the event came to be and designing new characters Crimson Valstrax Zero and Zinogre Iris.

You can read the translation provided by Windii Gitlord after the break!
