Objection! Mega Man Pays Homage to Ace Attorney in Newest Wallpaper

To mark the winner of Round 4 in the Capcom Town Elections, Capcom has put together a special set of wallpapers featuring the beloved characters connected to different "famous quotes" that were in the running for votes during the round. The question in contention was, "Which of the following is your Capcom’s famous quote?"

As you can see, Mega Man is one of the chosen ones along with a Zombie from the Resident Evil series, Masamune Date from Sengoku Basara series and a Hunter from Monster Hunter series.

The wallpapers were illustrated by Tamio, a member of Capcom's design room who provided illustrations for various Capcom goods in the last few years.

You can download Mega Man's wallpaper HERE! Please note that the image above is our own edit;  Mega Man's version says "異議あり!" ("Igiari!").

Rejected Ruby-Spears Mega Man Comic Book Pages Unearthed

Not too long ago, we uncovered an intriguing tidbit about the Ruby-Spears Mega Man cartoon - it nearly had an official comic book adaptation. Back in 1995, Bruce Hamilton Publishing had plans to bring this tie-in to life, but information about it was scarce, leaving us in the dark about what it might have looked like.

Today, I'm excited to reveal that we've gained much more insigh. Perhaps a little too much. I recently connected with a collector who managed to acquire two very interesting samples from this unpublished endeavor. These pages were crafted by the Day brothers, Dan and David, known for their work on several Marvel Comics projects, Dungeons & Dragons, and other titles.

Capcom Shares Rare Mega Man Legends Art for Tezuka Museum Exhibit

The Capcom Vs. Osamu Tezuka Characters art exhibit is currently in full swing in Japan. For those of us who aren't fortunate enough to attend in person, Capcom's official artwork Twitter account has been sharing collaborative art created exclusively for the exhibit, as well as artwork from Capcom's archives that's currently on display.

Today, they shared a very rare piece featuring Mega Man Volnutt, Roll Caskett, Tron Bonne, Data, and a Servbot, casually hanging out with Anarkis from Darkstalkers. The illustration is the work of Ryuji Higurashi, who served as the package artist for the Japan-exclusive Rockman DASH 1 and DASH 2 PSP ports back in 2005.

Considering this information, along with the seemingly unexpected inclusion of Anarkis, it leaves me with the impression that this piece was originally created as part of a promotional campaign for the PSP, aimed at promoting the DASH ports and Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower. UPDATE: Sure enough, it was indeed part of a 2006 PSP campaign! The original image featured several other characters as well.

If you're headed to the show this weekend, be sure to check it out in person! I'm sure it will look even better without the watermark...

Official Mega Man NT Warrior Marathon is Coming Back to YouTube

Battle Routine set! Capcom USA and YouTube Gaming are teaming up once again for another Mega Man NT Warrior marathon. According to the official Mega Man Twitter, you can catch the live streams every day at 10 AM Pacific time.

Right now, we're not entirely sure how long this marathon will go on for. In the last marathon earlier this year, they really dug into Mega Man NT Warrior Axess and even threw in a rare dubbed episode that hadn't been shown in the United States before. Also, fingers crossed they keep the episodes available once the marathon wraps up too!

To find out how it unfolds, make sure to tune in and check out the show on Capcom USA's official YouTube channel.

Check Out Some Rarely Seen Rockman VR Gameplay

Capcom's on-again, off-again handling of the Rockman VR: Targeted Virtual World!!! attraction and stringent no-camera policy present challenges in capturing the entire experience. While there's no sign of the game leaving Japan or being ported to consumer hardware in the foreseeable future, we're fortunate to have discovered some seldom-seen footage, which is the closest we've come to a full playthrough.

Rockman 20XX Has Been Successfully Preserved, Playable via FlashPoint

Rockman 20XX: Tatakae! Team Shachi!, the officially-licensed browser game by Capcom and Team Shachi, ended service on August 31st. However, I'm pleased to announce that the game has been fully preserved on Flashpoint, an open-source platform dedicated to archiving Flash games.

This preservation effort was carried out by Flashpoint archivist ThePowerPlayer, who played through the game multiple times to ensure the successful extraction of every asset, including those wacky cutscenes. If you have no earthly idea what I'm talking, give this a watch.

To experience Rockman 20XX once more (or maybe for the first time), download the latest version of the Flashpoint Infinity installer here. A Windows-based system is recommended, although limited support for Mac and Linux is available.  If you run into any issues or glitches, drop a comment. I'll pass it up to the chain!

Many thanks again to ThePowerPlayer for seeing this one through!

New Teppen Card Pack Turns Vile Into a Clockwork Toy

After Teppen's previous card pack delighted us with more than 40 Battle Network-themed cards, it was only natural to expect a more measured release schedule for cards from the Mega Man series as a whole. This expectation seems to be coming true with the recent launch of "The Daymare Diary," which spotlights Sherry Birkin from Resident Evil 2. Nonetheless, there remains a bit of space for the introduction of a few new Mega Man X cards.

See them all after the break!

Mega Man X DiVE Offline is Now Available on PC, Android and iOS

In case you needed a reminder, Mega Man X DiVE Offline is officially a-go. The game is now available to download on Steam, the Google Play Store, and the App Store. It'll set you back $29.99. No micotransactions, no additional DLC - it's a one time payment. Also, contrary to early speculation, an internet connection is not required to play the Steam version.

In a nutshell, Mega Man X DiVE Offline retains most of the original game's content: 100+ characters, stages, and modes. However, online features such as Battle Mode, Co-op, Ranking, Guild, and Capsule naturally didn't make the cut. Crossover content based on Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, and Monster Hunter won't be making an appearance either. There's currently no plan to include them down the line.

A final note if you missed it: save data transfer from the original version is not possible. You'll have start the game over from scratch. Not a terrible loss if you're new to X DiVE, but for those who've been around since the beginning, I feel you.

And that's about it! Capcom also posted a post-release survey. After filling it out, you'll be treated to some hi-res key art. Hit up the link and let them know what you think!
