Mega Man Mastermix Issue #2 Coming in April 2018

With the first issue of Mega Man Mastermix out the door, it's time to start looking ahead to the next release. Fortunately, we won't have to wait too long: Mastermix #2 is slated to hit shelves in April. Check out a sneak peek of Mastermix #2's cover above (illustrated by Hitoshi Ariga, no less).

Based on where Mastermix #1 left off, Mastermix #2 should recount most, if not all of "R Destruction Order", the second chapter of Mega Man Megamix volume 1. It has yet to be confirmed if, like Mastermix #1, it would cover the entire chapter. As a reminder, Mastermix is meant to be an on-going, quarterly series. It's within the realm of possibility.

Just like the inaugural issue, Mastermix #2 will have a few variant covers to collect, too. All three variant covers will be revealed on January 31st via Diamond Previews, I'm told. Stay tuned for your first look soon! In the meantime, pick up issue #1 if you haven't already. It's an exceptional re-release!

Unfortunately, these lovely delights are only available to ship in Japan. But if you're on a romantic getaway in Japan during Valentine's (how fun!), you can buy 'em here.

It's Rockman Corner's 10th Anniversary!

My, how time flies. On this day ten years ago, Rockman Corner launched. I was 18-years old at the time – a senior in high school with no idea what I wanted to do with my life. Today I'm an elementary school teacher. It's my fifth year working with the little ones (never a dull day) and somehow, between it all, I've managed to sustain my little slice of the internet. I'm very much in awe.

Kotobukiya Looking to Re-release Mega Man Model Kits This Year (Updated)

To commemorate Mega Man's 30th anniversary, Kotobukiya have announced that they will re-release all four 1/10th scale Mega Man models kits – Mega Man, Proto Man, Roll and Zero – later this year.

The Kotobukiya kits were officially discontinued in 2013. Two years later, the company re-released Mega Man, Roll and Proto Man for a limited period. Although you can easily find these kits today, they don't come cheap. The 2018 reissue will most likely bring prices down to their initial cost (between $25~$35 USD). Be on the lookout. (UPDATE: The kits are slated to ship in February! Mega Man, Roll and Proto Man will go for 3,200 yen (about $28.00) and Zero for 3,600 yen (around $32.00)).

Sadly, there's still nothing to be said about the potential for new model kits. But, hey, we can dream. Which characters would you like to see?

Mega Man X Mobile Now Supports iPhone X and iOS 11

Did you get a fancy new iPhone X over the holidays? If so, you might be interested to know that Capcom recently updated Mega Man X mobile to support iPhone X and iOS11. The update adds accommodation for iPhone X's larger display and compatibility with older devices running iOS 11.

Other than that, the game plays about the same as it did prior. It's not the best port of Mega Man X out there but it'll do for some. You can grab it from the App Store for $4.99.

Thanks, PizzaStart!

Game Informer's Mega Man 11 Coverage is Now Complete

Game Informer's month-long coverage of Mega Man 11 has concluded! If you're just now catching up or want to revisit all the news, interviews and special features (including a fantastic Mega Man 7 developer's commentary you might have missed over the holiday) from December 2017, head over here.

With that out of the way, it's hard to say when the next batch of Mega Man 11 news will drop. A Capcom Unity post from December 4, 2017 seemed to suggest more info is coming this summer ("We’ll have much more to share with you all on Mega Man 11 in Summer of 2018"). I'm hopefully, though, we'll here more in the coming months. There's just too big a gap between now and summer, you know? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Anywho, that's a wrap. Looking forward to more news!

Proto Man.EXE and Chaud Kick Off Rockman Unity's 2018 Mobile Wallpapers

Every month the official Rockman Unity app provides users a chance to unlock mobile wallpapers. These wallpapers can be unlocked by "defeating" Robot Masters – logging in once a day and tapping on their portrait until their health bar is zero. With a little finesse, though, it's possible to defeat Robot Masters in a matter of minutes. All you have to do is manually change your phone's clock to the following day. Rinse, repeat and the wallpaper is yours.

Of course, if you don't want to do any of that, we're here to make life a little bit easier. Courtesy of Reploid21XX, you can download January's wallpaper – featuring Proto Man.EXE and Chaud – right here. There's three sizes available.

What other fun wallpapers await us this year? Stay tuned!
