Oh Hey, It's Rockman Day! 6/9/13

You didn't forget what today is, did you? It's another Rockman Day! The fourth annual Rockman Day, in fact. If you're new to the tradition, you should brush up on your history here.

Admittedly, it's a pretty quiet holiday this year. I haven't seen any mention of live streams, fan-art, or other miscellaneous festivities among English and Japanese circles. Capcom Japan usually passively acknowledges it... but not this year.

That's not to so say you aren't celebrating the day in your own special way. I, for one, will make it a goal to finally beat Mega Man's side of Mega Man & Bass. I swear, the game was not designed for him.

Have a good one!

  3. Funny, I actually beat Mega Man's story in Mega Man & Bass first, but didn't get around to Bass'. Probably because I felt satisfied just beating it as my second favorite Mega Man after X. I agree that it's one of the hardest games in the franchise; I actually considered returning it to Ebay games where I bought it, but I eventually persevered and beat the game, whose penultimate stage is quite unforgiving. Sadly, I eventually did trade it in, and the rest of my GBA library, to help pay for my PSP. How I miss that system ...

  4. What?!?! I usually only play, and finish that game as Mega Man. In fact, I think, maybe, I completed the game with Bass only once.

I guess I'm in the minority.

  5. I finished both Megaman and Bass in Rockman & Forte. about 5 or more years ago. :)

Oh my god, that! It doesn't help I play on an emulator. XD I have the GBA version, but that is actually a lot harder for me. I would much rather play it the way it was meant to be played, on the SNES! Drat region locking. >:(

  7. Not to, you know, brag or anything, but I've beaten that game several times while playing as Mega Man, in both the Super Nintendo and Game Boy Advance versions. It is a tad harder with him than it is with Bass, but there are some shop items that make up for it, such as Eddie, Beat, the defense power-up, the item that increases attack power when you're on the verge of death, etc.
