Capcom Touts New Mega Man Merchandise

Brand spankin' new Mega Man merchandise from FAB Starpoint are heading our way; journals, wallets, memos and baggies.  What more could you ask for?

The details according to Capcom's Chris Kramer:

"Dunno about you, but as a Mega Fan, I'm constantly jealous of all the killer Blue Bomber goods produced in Japan that are near-impossible to find in North America. That's why I'm very happy to bring you a preview of some Mega Merch currently in production by new Capcom licensee FAB Starpoint. FAB Starpoint are in the process of signing distribution deals with retailers across the continent (hopefully including our own Capcom eStore), with an eye towards the products reaching your hot little hands in the beginning of the year."

FAB Starpoint will also be keeping an eye on the comments section of the Capcom Unity blog for feedback, and might just take into consideration ideas of your very own.

Full details at Kramez's blog.

  1. I like the way these look. I guess they'd match the design on the energy drink (I won't call them E-Tanks, because they aren't).

  4. To make everything looks like useless crap. I want soundtrack or figures not this stuff.

  5. Needs more X/Zero/ZX series. :\
I love classic and all, but it gets too much attention.

  8. I find these look a little on the unimaginative side. It's just a piece of merchandise with 8-bit Megaman slapped on it. Not a whole lot of creative work there, Capcom. :I

  9. Getting the wallet, hands down. I was actually in Spencer's the other day and was looking at all the other VG wallets like Zelda and such and was thinking to myself "Why are there never any MegaMan merchandise?" Well, looks like I am a prophet once again, they have answered my prayers!

  10. I wish I could get excited about these products but the similarity to knockoff items someone made for a Cafepress store is overshelming.

They look so generic, so boring. The only item that appeals to me is the journal. I don't expect there will be anything Megaman related to it besides the cover as well for that extra minimum effort feel.

What I'd like are some Megaman sound drops. The thought of having a keychain that makes Mega's explosion sound effect or Metalman's Metal Blade sfx is pretty cool to me.

Heck, I'd even take something weird like a pot of lip gloss shaped like Eddie. Something, anything that has a bit of creativity to it. I want to support Capcom's merch but- eh.

  11. I really like that bag with the MM2 robot masters behind it. I don't care for the "I PLAY HARD!" or "8BIT 4LIFE" lines which I personally think are lame. And now you know what I think, everyone!
