ADV Films to Re-release "MegaMan" On DVD

According to RightStuf, ADV Films will be re-releasing the Ruby Spears MegaMan toon on DVD, on January 27th, 2009. "MegaMan DVD Collection 1" (presumably the first season) will retail for $29.98 (RightStuf is selling it for $22.298). Compared to the 2003 DVD sets, that's quite inexpensive.

The 2003 DVDs have been out of print for a few years, so it's kind of nice to see some sort of upgrade. Who knows, maybe we'll get some extras this time around.

  1. Ewww.... No, thanks. I prefer Japanese version. This version is too conflicate since Protoman is evil which is so wrong and confusion. And the drawing is ugly and so Americanization way.. I prefer japan anime the best.

  2. I already have the Season 1, 2 and 3 DVD box sets, so this doesn't matter to me much. But good news for those who missed this "gem" XD

  3. Man, look at the weeaboo in the first comment.

Sure the OVAs were interesting, but the Ruby-Spears productions cartoon was much more enjoyable in that "haha this is freaking RIDICULOUS!" sort of way, which seems like only some people can enjoy.

I'll probably pick this up online when I have some cash.
