Mega Man: Fully Charged Episode 1 Part 2 Preview

Via the official Mega Man: Fully Charged YouTube channel, here's another clip from the show's first episode, "Throwing Shade". Continuing where the first clip left off, we get to see more of Mega Man's duel with Fire Man, more Mega Mini (or as Mega Man calls him, "Mini Migraine"), and more of fan-favorite "buff" Dr. Light.

All in all, a fun little clip. Mega Man: Fully Charged premieres on the official Cartoon Network app and various on-demand streaming platforms on Friday, August 3rd. Episodes will air on Cartoon Network weekly every Sunday beginning at 6:30 a.m. ET/PT starting August 5th.

  1. I thought the first preview was alright. This one was a fair bit more grating, at least for me.

That said, I think most of the stuff they have done with Fireman himself as been pretty fun, and liked the little remix there as well.

  3. As cringeworthy as I find the dialogue and Mega Mini to be, I gotta say- I love the pixel art, and the animation really does shine during the action scenes. Watching Fire Man try to lift the manhole cover with no hands actually got a pretty good laugh from me!

I don't think it'll ever loop around to "so bad it's good" territory like the Ruby-Spears cartoon, but it does have a few redeeming qualities.

  4. Huh. More effective than when I tried it in-game, the other day.
… this is going to be another "Pikachu vs. wet Onix" situation, innit?

Also, is that some Archie Comics influence I detect, there? Or, is it more straight-forward, than that? I guess we'll see, this August!

  5. This preview was actually pretty good I think. Will be interesting to see how the whole show plays out.

Also I think Gary Chalk is playing Dr.Light now (he was Guts Man and Bright Man in the Spears show).

  6. No. They should have tried to balance out the show as Astro Boy was entertaining for adults, as well as kids. I won't be watching this.

  7. So far at best this series seems harmless to the franchise, it's not as bad as I thought I'd be with what I've seen. I wish it the best.

  8. Mega Man's voice is the worst part for me so far, but I'm really digging the music and the sprites. Obviously this is aimed at an audience way younger than any of us posting here, but it's really growing on me.

  9. ...So, it's a little too early to tell, but I think this show is slowly transitioning into a guilty pleasure of mine. I might actually give it a chance once it premieres.

  10. Weird. Thumb down! MegaMan has a little friend inside his forehead ? Never heard of it. Japan version is better. No wonder America is weird!

    1. While I agree with the fact that Mega Mini is weird(and unnecessary), do you honestly think it's fair to lump a whole bunch of people together and label them like you have? There are weird things EVERYWHERE in the world, not just in the USA.

Remember, it's the individual, or individuals, not the entire land of people. A biased attitude doesn't get you far. Blame the proper party responsible for things.

On the other hand, if you get the right people in charge, no matter where they are in the world, great things can happen. Just look at Sonic Mania, for example.
