NT Warrior Prototype Figures Up For Grabs

Hot on the heels of my canceled Jazwares toy post, come these neat little treasures: prototype Mega Man NT Warrior action figures.

All three figures -- Burner Man, Shade Man and Elec Brother Mega Man -- never made it to store shelves. Today they are mere remnants of the canceled Series 3 line which would have seen the likes of a number of Net Navis and Mega Man "Styles."

Somewhere down the line, sample molds managed to find themselves in the hands of a few lucky collectors. It would seem these folks are now willing to part with them as all three are up for grabs on Ebay.

Being rarities, they don't come cheap: The seller is asking for a hefty $299.99 per figure. Yikes... well, I guess that's reasonable (to a degree). When dealing with prototypes, big price tags are quite common, so you should always be prepared to shell out some serious dough.

  1. I have that Elec Brother one from a sale a few years back. The ShadeMan one is quite nice though...

    I would totally buy him and then pay someone else to paint the guy!

  7. I bought the Freezeman prototype from this seller just less than a month ago, to finally completely own the whole set. :D

    Although it still is on it's way in the mail unfortunately, I can let anyone who is interested know that the seller does take offers, even though they only show that hefty 'Buy It Now price.' I was able to knock of a decent chunk of change on his asking price, so don't be afraid to barter if these really interest you. It'll still be pricey, but you shouldn't have to pay $300.

    They are very rare to pop up nowadays, since the line was canceled so long ago. And most of this seller's figures do come with the virus mini figure, along with some other accessories. The more complete you can find them with those parts, the pricier these prototypes get.

  9. I'm surprised Protodude didn't link my PET review, once again, considering he said last time that the next time an EXE-related thing is posted, he'll link it.

    Amir, I said I'd put it when the PET itself would pop up on the auction block.

  11. @Proto:

    Then that means it'll never happen, dude. XD

    Nobody's selling Plug In's online anymore, unless it's Yahoo Japan auctions, in which I'm pretty sure only .1% of the people who view this blog can understand even a lick of Japanese.

  12. Actually... Plug-ins are being sold quite often on ebay now. I know one just sold for a little over $100, and one right now is going on sale for $250 as a buy it now.

  13. *cough* Uh, guys...the same seller who has these prototypes does have a Plug-in PET for sale...

    And I've seen at least 3 on eBay in auction form (as opposed to Buy It Nows) in the last month. They've actually been surprisingly frequent in popping up lately. Just sayin' is all. ^^;
