Maverick Hunter X Blasts Onto PSN

Starting today, Maverick Hunter X is available for download off of the PlayStation Network for $19.99 USD.  The download will run you 413MB of memory, and is compatible with all versions of the PSP including the recently-released PSP Go.

Who knows, maybe if sales are sufficient enough, Capcom might go ahead and green light the much demanded sequel. Can't hurt to be a little optimistic, right?

  1. Sequel. Sequel. :D I just recently played it. I loved X1 on the SNES, and dang this was a good remake. Phenomenally better than I expected.

  3. there can't be THAT much demand otherwise there would be a sequel already. I also don't think this will create more demand. so yes there is a demand from X fans but not from the general PSP player.
I would much rather they translate legends 1&2 for PSP then get another one of these.

  4. @ 3rd poster:

legends was good, but you tend to see more demand for capcom to give sequals to the MHX series and MMX9 as well. me personaly, i like both, but i'll take more X first please. i myself have no need for this download, as i already have the game, which i might add, is one awesome remake. the vile mode, is just one heck of an add on.

here's hoping that if they continue the MHX series, that when they redo X3, the character selection is done more like X5. both characters always playable, but picking one at the start changes the story a bit. personaly, i hated that in X3, if you die as zero, you can't use him anymore. i hated that. i wanted zero to be more "compatible".

  7. It's not so much demand as fanbase. I think what hurt the game was the lack of people who wanted it owning a PSP system.

IMHO I think a sequel would do much better if it were released as a DLC only game, though I would hate not owning a disc, but it would be better than not getting it at all.

  8. unless you have a psp 2000 or 3000 model, then you can get cables to connect your PSP to a TV, but yeah, it can't be played on PS3.

  9. The game would have sold MUCH better if they didn't release this on the PSP in the first place. It should have been for the PS2, XBox or even Game Cube.

  10. I agree... I wanted both this and Megaman Powered Up, but besides those two games I have no reason to purchase a PSP. Unless more Megaman games are released for the PSP, it doesn't justify buying another handheld.
