Iris "Soul Eraser" Skin Coming to Rockman X DiVE Next Week

The Rockman X DiVE development team has announced via social media that the game will receive a new skin after the maintenance period next Wednesday.

The skin is a recolor of Iris' design from the Game Boy Color game Rockman X2: Soul Eraser or as we know it in the west, Mega Man Xtreme 2. No price has been announced but judging by how much Iron Maiden Cinnamon cost, we are probably looking at another 1200 EM skin.

Are you panning on getting her? Let's us know in the comments!

  1. Hmm, i guess i'd have enough time to farm ressource before Xmas even if i buy her, since i got lucky with the battle network event. And she is lovely.
    So probably, yes.

  2. I gotta get skins, so yes I'll be getting it. It's interesting that they changed the coloring, but I guess the normal SE outfit looked pretty similar to her vanilla outfit.

  3. man, I hope all these assets made for this game don't go to waste. They have 3D models of so many characters, they really ought to make a legit mega man X collection on mobile.

They can just remake the entire series on mobile, allowing you to buy each X game, and buy DLC characters to play as. I'd be fine with something like that.

    1. I want to agree with you, but I HATE the idea of making Mega Man on mobile... Just put it on consoles and PC. These games aren't at home on cell phones

  4. Any info on that new game that's supposedly been in development for years now?

This site's basically just Rockman X Dive Corner right now, with most of the posts being about all the different (ultimately minor) updates to what is just a gacha game.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not hating! I just wish there was something more substantial going on.

    1. If he had info he could share on it, i think he would be sharing them.
For the time let's just be patient.
Remember that it's 2020, too. Everything go slower than usual.
Plus Capcom was dealing with criminals just last month.

    2. Welcome to the Mega Man fandom where we get the short end of every stick. Just be glad we're not in another Mega Man drought.

    3. I'm happy you brought that up, as I do too at times, and it is odd that most commenters don't bring that up. I am also tired of the constant repetitive Dive posting with nothing original. It isn't even a sequel, and doesn't look that detailed compared to what an X9 or even MM11 can be. Mobile games seem to have crappy particle and explosion effects, like the PSP did. Look at the nicer explosion effects of a boss blowing up in X8 and the crap boss explosion in Maverick Hunter X; even the SNES had better boss explosions than Maverick Hunter X when sigma blew up with many smaller explosions, for example. Though normal enemy explosions look better in MHX.

For the most part, I just care about main timeline new games and sequels; not non-canon mobile games that I will never touch. No way am I playing a platformer on a puny tiny screen with no controller. Release a canon timeline game MM11 style for steam too that actually feels like a real MMX game and I can boot it up on my custom built PC with a 2k 27 inch 144hz 2ms monitor through steam.

Also at this point, you have every right to complain or hate. Odd enough that nothing has been said about a sequel because MM11 and the collections sold well long ago, so you would expect at least an announcement of a sequel game vs 2+ years later after MM!1, and still not one peep. It is getting boring. Do they want to lose popularity? It feels good to rant about this. I do that on twitter sometimes about the lack of new games. I though MM has made a big comeback. Let's hope it isn't dying for another decade.

    4. I am getting very sick of the 2020 excuse... It doesn't take THIS long to release a damn trailer or make a simple announcement... They had no problem doing it for Resident Evil. They seem to have no qualms about Monster Hunter. They certainly aren't ignoring Street Fighter.
I don't care if it's in development a little longer than normal post announcement. But isn't NOW be a prime time to be planting feelers for future purchases? Give people something to look forward to? They should at least make a damn announcement.

If they don't make there announcement by the 17th, I am going to assume it just isn't happening regardless of the secrets people deal in.

    6. @Michael, i would'nt even say we get the short end of the sticks, there are many franchise in a worst state than Mega Man. Even some of Capcom's own others franchise (Who are not R.E, S.F, M.H or D.M.C)

  5. Oh man...she is so cute. I love this character and the game.

  6. Cute! I like this design more than her original Xt2 design.

  7. They made it distinct from her normal SE outfit, which is cool. Iris is SO lovely!

Now that they've acknowledged SE/Xtreme 2, perhaps we can get Berkana and Gareth as bosses? Maybe even the former as a playable - that would be amazing!

    1. There seems to be a lot of demand for Berkana, so she will inevitably dive in the deep log at some point. As with manh characters, the question is when. Could be tomorow, or in a very long time.

  8. MOST DEFINITELY picking up anything Iris related. I...probably prefer her original design, but this one is really cute and new skins come with stat boosts and such (my Iris is maxed out and carries my best chips, so yeah).

  9. Why's, uh… why's she colored all pastel-like? That's an odd design choice.

Also, I didn't realize it 'til now, but Iris must've gotten a physical upgrade between Soul Eraser and X4. She's, uh… "bigger"… in X4.

    1. Probably to make her more distinct from her usual design.
