Legends 3's New Playable Character Revealed

Apologies for the delay in these stories; when you're a teacher, life can be pretty hectic! Anyway, the first of two big Mega Man Legends 3 announcements made today was the unveiling of a brand new character named Bullett. In actuality, Bullet will be a second playable character next to Mega Man Volnutt. Bullett is unique in that he can move with great agility and run up walls, as evident in the following footage:

It remains to be seen if Mega Man Volnutt and Bullet will have their own respective missions, or if you choose who to play as whenever they please. Speculate away!

  3. Here's the thing:

Volnutt: emphasizes in multiple special, upgradable weapons; armor upgrades, decreased mobility. Basically your standard Mega Man gameplay.

Barrett: emphasizes in increased mobility (hell, he's THIS close to be Quick Man, if only it wasn't for the fact he lacks a double jump lol) and rapid fire WEAPON. My guess is this guy has close to zero special weapons, if not fewer than Volnutt. From what we've seen here, he's basically Bass's and Axl's (increased mobility and rapid fire, probably weaker than Volnutt) gameplay, mashed up with Zero's Z-Knuckle gameplay from X8. I like the gameplay, kinda like the character (badass silent biker dude, stalked by a cheerfully annoying girl lol), don't like the english name. I prefer Bullet. Also, FF7 reference :P

The overall gameplay looks, as I expected, miles superior to L2's. Kudos to the Dev team. That town looks HUGE, and yay no loading screens!. Also, the fact that Barret uses a bike to drive around town makes me wonder if Volnutt will get to drive the Support Car. That would be SOOOO awesome!.

Graphics-wise, it reminds me so much to Ape Escape 3, with all the brighty, colorful, cel-shaded world that is a mirror reflection of the art concept. Pretty nice, I love it.

What's not to love about this game?! I'd buy a 3DS JUST FOR THIS GAME.

it's everything the old game was but cleaner without tarnishing the charm!!! AND THE SOUND EFFECTS ARE THE SAME (that was super important for me actually....)
    k, don't care, i'm buying a 3DS just for this.

  5. Actually, it's Barrett. Reminds me of a bit of Protoman and Colonel from EXE put together. Kind of like Rogue, who's a mix of Proto and Bass...

  9. Am I the only one imagining Protodude teaching a class ala Hanamaru Kindergarten?

  11. Hmmm... so Legends now has its own "red badass" (ala Proto Man or Zero). This is an interesting development. I can't wait to see how this plays out. And his playstyle looks friggen' awesome.
