Mega Man and Rush Like You've Never Seen Them Before

Ever wondered what Mega Man and faithful robo-canine Rush would look if portrayed in a more serious, realistic manner? Wonder no more...

Artist Jason Hazelroth writes, "I wanted to try my hand at redesigning MegaMan as a live action character. I had designed some suits before for something unrelated, but a friend mentioned that it looked like MegaMan. With a few tweaks I decided to render him up and this is what I got."

Totally awesome. I'm getting a Tron/BayFormers vibe from the illustration, which isn't a bad thing. Like what you see? Head on over to Jason's blog, check out some more images and leave some feedback.

  1. They looks scary. I admit that this rush is cool but they looks nothing like Megaman and Rush at all.

  2. That's certainly classic Capcom USA boxart material!

  3. This reminds me of the U.S. Mega Man boxarts from the NES era (as well as 9's and 10's, of course).

  4. I love the Rush.

Megaman, not so much. Well.. sort of. Reminds me of the cartoons version of X more than Megaman.

Or if Megaman and Ironman fused together. *snort* XD

  6. The art is like a Megaman X type, I remember In Megaman X Sigma has this kind of robot like Rush, why did X doesn't I hope they can bring that back in the X series.

  7. I personally like the rush, he looks a lot more robotic than he normally does, Megaman looks a lot like X has done the fusion dane with Robocop, this is definetly Capcom USA territory, welcome Megaman 11!

  8. Interesting take on them, the original megaman games were known for their cartoon-like story though (excluding boxart of course :P)

  9. I think the artwork is amazingly solid. Very realisitic and wonderful paint jobs to express the metallic surface texture. I love it and will probably use it for a wallpaper or something, lol. If an official live action MegaMan were to ever come out, this is probably exactly how he and Rush would be depicted. Marvel would need to take the helm with their Iron Man expertise, lol. Besides, they owe Capcom for using lots of their property/characters to make awesome games. ;)
