MMSF2 On Shelves, Voice Acting Removed (Surprise?)

For the uninformed, reports are coming in that MMSF2 is now on store shelves nation wide. SF fans, hurry off to your local store and grab yourself a copy! (Along with the Wave Command Kit)

Also, I've received at least two claims that the "voice acting" in the game has been removed from the localized versions. So, they cut out the voice acting but spare the Wave Command System? I'm shocked Capcom.

  1. Maybe it was for the good of the fans. After all most of English dubs are horrible.

  2. I agree. I wasn't too fond of the dubbing for ZX Advent. Kinda cheesy, and the voice actor for Model A sounded like the one who voiced Axl in X7. Ugh! >_<

  3. In the end it's probably for the best. Capcom fails at dubs (except for MMX8 and MHX).

I kind of wish they'd kept the Japanese voices in like they did for the first MMZX, though. I always thought that was the best way to go. Oh well, better no voices than terrible ones.

  4. Where was there voice acting? Was it just stuff like, "hey!" and "what's wrong?" I know they said the title... I wish they would leave Japanese voices too... the Megaman.exe voice in Onimusha Blade Warriors is horrible. I like the Japanese voice for Rockman.exe...

  5. I have to agree. With the exception of Megaman 8 and Megaman X4 Capcom USA has never gotten the dubs down right.

  6. Yeah, the voice acting was removed, still even if they left it in, it probably wouldn't of even sounded good. I just wish they left the
    Japanese voice over.

  7. I have to wait for tomorrow... none of the stores near me had it today.

cheers for not having crappy dubs!!

everything sounds better in Japanese so it would only make sense to keep the jap. audio in it...

  8. Well at least they didn't add in any voice actors that sounded twice the characters ages in this game like in Mega Man Battle Network 5 DS. I would of wished they keep the Japanese voice acting and add in a voice mute option in the USA version if people don't want to here voices in Japanese.

  10. With all the memory they saved taking out the voice acting, you think they could have put in something else in nice to compensate, like in MMBN6 when the Underground area was removed in the NA version and they put in those extra missions and that extra Protoman battle to compensate.
