Maybe we’ll hear more next Sunday. Or not. Either way, fresh updates on the collection are coming soon.

Early copies of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds are surfacing as some retailers appear to be breaking the street date ahead of its official September 25th release. Inside the case, a postcard reportedly reveals the final paid DLC pack: Mega Man. Judging by the logo, it appears to be none other than the classic series Blue Bomber.
Fans have been hoping Mega Man would make the cut ever since CrossWorlds was first announced, especially after years of official but non-game crossovers with Sonic the Hedgehog—the most notable being the Archie Comics Worlds Collide saga. If this insert is genuine, CrossWorlds would mark the first time Mega Man and Sonic appear together in a major Sonic title.
Stay tuned for updates!

Although e-Capcom does not ship internationally, they partner with WorldShopping to handle orders outside of Japan. The option appears as a pop-up near the bottom of the screen. If it doesn’t show up, try temporarily disabling your ad blocker.
Alternatively, if you happen to be in Japan on September 27th and the 28th, these items sound like they'll be available to pick up at Capcom's booth.
Details are limited for now, but it’s confirmed the collection will include online features, such as Battle Card trading and online battles. However, crossplay and cross-saves between platforms won’t be supported.
More updates as they come. Stay tuned!
Threezero's MDLX Mega Man line continues with their newest release: Fire Storm Mega Man. Is this just the same figure in a new color scheme, or is there more to it?
Capcom and Laced Records have announced Mega Man Zero/ZX: The Vinyl Collection, a 5LP vinyl box set that includes soundtracks for Mega Man Zero 1-4, Mega Man ZX and Mega Man ZX Advent. Our pal ultimatemaverickx has returned as the sleeve artist, producing lore-faithful, vibrant illustrations depicting memorable moments from the Zero and ZX series. You can see what those look like here.
Additional info:
The Mega Man X series is famous for many things, but one of the most distinctive elements is the variety of Armors worn by its characters. X is the face of this tradition, though Zero, Vile, and Sigma have each sported multiple designs over the years. Then there’s the most enigmatic member of the cast: Axl. In Mega Man X8, Axl received a mysterious upgrade known only as “???”—better remembered by fans as White Axl. For over two decades, this design has gone without a proper figure, until now. To my surprise, Kotobukiya has finally answered the call. We know their track record speaks for itself, but just how impressive is this release? Let’s take a closer look!
Kotobukiya Japan dropped a cheeky tease on Twitter, posting a picture of an iron pipe accessory alongside the caption: “New info from the Rockman X plastic model series! At long last, a new product… the ‘Iron Pipe’ is getting a release!? It’s just an iron pipe, but as a plastic model… what could this mean!? Details will be revealed on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, so please look forward to it!”
So, why an iron pipe? Fans will recall that Zero wielded one during his very first encounter with Sigma in the events leading up to Mega Man X1. That makes this tease easy to read as either a nod to a potential pre-X1 Zero kit (with the pipe as an accessory) or as an add-on for the already-announced Sigma kit. But given that the tweet carefully described it as a new product the wording feels very deliberate.
Either way, the mystery won’t last long; we’ll know for sure in just a few days.
After a short delay, Kotobukiya has finally released the latest kits in their Mega Man Classic line. This time, we got two Special Weapon based kits from Mega Man 11: Scramble Thunder and Pile Drive. Are they worth the wait, and do they stay true to the source material? After the break, I’ll cover everything you need to know!
Where Capcom slacks, fans are more than happy to pick up the slack. That old adage rings true today with news that the 2001 PC port of Mega Man Legends has been repackaged and fixed to run on modern machines thanks to KuroRaiden.
With the help of DxWrapper, he’s created a build that works on Windows 10 and 11 while also resolving long-standing compatibility issues. The update eliminates forced auto-fullscreen and, by including the “Unfinished Business” patch, replaces the port’s low-quality audio files with high-quality WAVs sourced from the original PlayStation release. The repack also adds Xinput-to-Dinput support.
As for Steam Deck compatibility, KuroRaiden notes that it’s doable, though it may require tinkering with GE-Proton and other Wine layers.
Until an official re-release surfaces on something like GOG, this is a nice hassle-free option. Download it here!
KuroRaiden is available on Twitter and Bluesky for support and troubleshooting. Let him know if you run into any issues!

When Mega Man X DiVE Offline launched in 2023, it stripped away crossover content from the original online version. One of the biggest omissions was the Street Fighter V collaboration, which introduced Ryu, Chun-Li, and Akuma as playable characters along with 18 themed cards tied to the event.
Thanks to the Derivative Works team, a new mod brings the Street Fighter V collaboration back to the Steam version of Mega Man X DiVE Offline. It’s available on Nexusmods, complete with setup instructions. After installation, players can visit the Collab Character Store to obtain Memory Fragments for Ryu, Chun-Li, and Akuma to unlock the fighters.
Although the Kickstarter campaign was successful and the project cleared all of Capcom’s certifications and approvals, the game never saw a public release. Whether it’s been canceled or simply delayed is still unclear. In the meantime, project artist Hector Moran recently shared renders and images of many of the planned mini figures. Check 'em out below!

Shooting Star Rockman has been seeing a teeny tiny resurgence lately, and that trend continues with Fukkan’s latest announcement. For the first time, all four volumes of Masaya Itagaki’s Shooting Star Rockman manga will be released as Kindle e-books, arriving on Amazon Japan on Friday, August 22nd.
The first three volumes loosely adapt the events of Shooting Star Rockman 1, while the fourth volume, Tribe Shooting Star Rockman Battle Side Story, includes some elements and characters from Shooting Star Rockman 2. Although the series never received an official English release, it was published in Indonesia and Thailand back in 2012.
Content-wise, these digital editions are expected to match the original print runs, but with refreshed logos and Fukkan branding. Pre-orders are currently live for those with access to Amazon Japan.

Following its reveal last weekend, Discotek has opened pre-orders for the new Ruby-Spears Mega Man complete series Blu-ray set. Crunchyroll is the first retailer to offer pre-orders, with more outlets expected soon. This post will be updated as additional options become available. (UPDATE: Amazon preorders are live)
The set is scheduled to ship on October 28 for $49.95 ($39.96 via Crunchyroll). The single disc contains all 27 episodes in SD format along with a host of new features not included in the previous DVD release. Highlights include a high-resolution version of the original “anime” pitch, a new high-quality transfer of the first episode, galleries of rare art and production materials, promotional content, episode commentary by Mega Man himself, Ian James Corlett, and more.

Capcom has updated its Platinum Titles chart for the fiscal year, which lists software that has sold one million or more units worldwide. As of June 30th 2025, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 has reached one million cumulative sales across PlayStation 4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It’s the latest addition to the growing club of million-selling Mega Man games—becoming the sixth in the past decade and the tenth overall to surpass the milestone.
Franchise-wide sales for Mega Man remain at 43 million units, holding steady from the previous quarter. Meanwhile, other past entries continued to gain ground: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 climbed to 1.5 million units (up 100K), and Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 rose to 1.1 million (up 100K).

Announced today at Discotek’s Otakon panel, the complete Ruby-Spears animated series is heading to Blu-ray under Discotek’s SD-BD line (Standard Definition on Blu-ray). To set it apart from the earlier DVD release, this edition is loaded with a wealth of bonus material that I, along with a few friends from the Mega Man community, helped put together. Here’s the rundown:
Over the course of the past year and a half, I’ve worked closely with Discotek on this set, and I can say with absolute certainty that it’s worth double-dipping even if you already own the complete series on DVD. The new transfer of episode 1 is very crisp, and some of the show bible materials are being revealed here for the first time—never before seen, even by longtime Rockman Corner readers.
More updates including a release window soon!
Each book is priced at $30.00. ZX Timelines is expected to ship in September, followed by Legends Timelines in October. It's worth noting that both titles were previously delayed by about a month, so these release dates may still shift pending official word from Udon.

Last month, a crossover event between Rockman and the Taiwan-exclusive MMO The Legend of the Three Kingdoms Online was announced to... well, little fanfare. It’s the latest in a long line of unusual, seemingly random collaborations with little relevance to fans outside its country of origin. Still, for the sake of posterity, it’s our duty to document its place in Rockman’s proverbial history books. So, for your consideration, here’s a complete summary of the crossover’s plot.
Originally scheduled for release in July, the English edition of Mega Man X DiVE: Official Complete Works has been delayed. Amazon customers have begun receiving emails stating the book is now expected to ship on Tuesday, October 14th.
Udon’s official store has yet to update its listing with the new release date, so if you pre-ordered from there, it may be worth keeping an eye out for any changes.
In the meantime, you can check out a handful of preview pages here to tide you over until October. Many thanks to CrystalLaser and Mike_0 for the tip!
Just in time for summer break, Teppen’s latest supplemental cards are here—this time featuring Dr. Weil corrupting X and sending him down a dark path! With the next (and final) card pack of the year not arriving until October, now’s the perfect time explore these sinister additions.
With Mega Man X Timelines #1 hitting comic shops this week, author Daniel "Protoman" Arseneault is already looking ahead to his next endeavor: the upcoming Mega Man X ongoing series. For those curious about how — or even if — this new series connects to Timelines, Daniel has shared the graphic above to clarify how everything fits together.
According to him, the ongoing story begins with an as-yet-unannounced issue #0. While the events of that issue remain a mystery for now, it leads directly into Mega Man X Timelines #1, which centers on X and Zero’s battle with Chill Penguin. The timeline then continues with Mega Man X ongoing #1, currently scheduled to launch later this fall.
More details on the ongoing series are forthcoming. Stay tuned!
Wonder Festival returned over the weekend for its annual summer event, bringing a fresh batch of Rockman garage kits. For the uninitiated, WonderFest is a Japan-based event where creators obtain one-day licenses to sell copyrighted fan works—mainly garage kits. Due to Japan’s copyright laws, these are sold in person only, though they often surface on the secondary market for a hefty pile of zenny. A few kits returned from the 2025 Winter show (which you can check out here), but there were some exciting new offerings too. Let’s take a look at what was up for grabs!
Every now and then, a fan project pops up that truly stands out. Sometimes it's a fan-game, sometimes it's a piece of artwork, and other times, it's a custom accessory made to complement your official merchandise. Today, I want to highlight a remarkable project I’ve been following since its inception—so join me after the break as we dive into everything there is to know about these incredible fan-made Light Capsules!
Mega Man X Timelines #1 is in the hands of author Daniel “Protoman” Arseneault ahead of its release this week, and it comes with a surprise reveal: a back-page announcement confirming that Mega Man X will continue as a regular, ongoing series from Udon. Arseneault will return as writer, joined once again by illustrator Hanzo Steinbach.
According to Udon’s San Diego Comic-Con panel, the Mega Man X comic is a separate title from Mega Man Timelines and will launch with its own issue #1 when it begins serialization this fall.
Stay tuned for updates!
Those Comic Con exclusives aren’t quite so exclusive anymore—Jada Toys is now accepting orders for the 6-pack of Neo Metall figures directly through Jada Next Level. Each pack is priced at $35.00 and limited to two per customer. Unfortunately for many, shipping is only available within the U.S.
Here's the official description:
Hot on the heels of Guts Man and Bomb Man, Jada Toys announced at their San Diego Comic-Con panel that Rush will round out Wave 5.
ThreeZero has unveiled the latest addition to their growing MDLX Mega Man line — the red rocker himself, Proto Man! The prototype was showcased at Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong 2025 and appears to be in scale with the company’s previous classic series figure.
A release date hasn’t been announced yet, and if past launches are any indication, it may be several months before Proto Man goes up for preorder.

Back in March, Hiya Toys offered a first look at their 1/12-scale X figure, rumored to kick off a new line of licensed Mega Man X figures under the "Exquisite Basic" banner. Today, that rumor is confirmed—with an updated preview of X, plus the debut of Zero and Sigma at the San Diego Comic Con.
Though still in the prototype stage, the figures give us a clear idea of what's to come. X features multiple swappable hands and faces, along with X-Buster effect parts. Zero, styled after his X2 appearance, includes similar accessories and alternate pieces for his Z-Saber. Sigma is based on his X1 design and comes with his own interchangeable hands, faces, and saber effects.
No pricing or release details have been announced yet, but we'll be keeping a close watch for more info.

Straight from the San Diego Comic-Con showroom floor, Jada Toys gives us our first look at Guts Man and Bomb Man, showcased alongside last year's reveals—Proto Man and Snake Man.
While no additional details have been shared yet, it’s likely these two will be part of Wave 5. As a reminder, Wave 4 includes Proto Man, Snake Man, and Gemini Laser Mega Man.
Here’s hoping we won’t have to wait long for more information—Jada Toys is set to host a panel later this week.

Not only are pre-orders for Mega Man X: Timeless #1 strong, but writer Daniel "Protoman" Arseneault confirms that demand has led to the production of seven additional variant covers. Daniel tells me Udon Entertainment plans to reveal one cover every day or so as we approach San Diego Comic-Con. Some—though not all—will be store exclusives. More details are on the way!
What’s more, after a brief delay, Mega Man X: Timeless #1 will officially hit comic shops on Wednesday, July 30th. If you don't have a store nearby, pre-orders are still available directly from Udon. They currently offers covers A through E, plus the Udon Store-exclusive KeenBiscuit “girl” variants.
Hang tight for just a little bit longer!
According to Mario & Sonic series producer Lee Cocker, Sega and Nintendo originally envisioned Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 as a full-blown “Video Game All-Stars” crossover, bringing together characters from other IPs—including Mega Man.
In a recent exchange on Twitter, Cocker revealed that the original concept for the game was to include a wide range of iconic characters—not just from the worlds of Mario and Sonic, but from across the gaming industry. That lineup included Mega Man, Pokémon, Street Fighter, Metal Gear Solid, and even select Sony and Microsoft properties. The idea was that certain characters would appear only in specific Olympic events, creating a crossover experience tailored to each character’s unique traits.
Unfortunately, the plan never came to fruition. “Lots of the deals/agreements couldn’t be agreed, which was a shame,” Cocker explained, “so it went back to just being Mario and Sonic.”
Still, it’s exciting to know that Mega Man was considered for a leading role in what could have been one of gaming’s most ambitious crossovers to date.

During the Q&A session at the 46th Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, Capcom reiterated that Mega Man remains an important part of its portfolio. As with a similar statement made in 2024, the company confirmed that while no new announcements can be made at this time, the series continues to be a key element of its global strategy.
The company also highlighted the growing international demand for Mega Man merchandise and plans to continue expanding this business in the future.
UserJoy Technology is celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Legend of Three Kingdoms Online with a crossover event with none other than Rockman. Set to launch on July 31st, the collaboration brings classic series character into the long-running Taiwanese MMORPG through officially licensed in-game content.
Players can look forward to a lineup of avatars based on classic characters like Rockman, Blues, and Forte, all reimagined in a 3D style that evokes their original 8-bit designs. The event also includes themed bosses and a Rush-inspired mount (you can see Dr. Wily riding along for the chaos above). A brand-new server will launch the same day, giving new and returning players a chance to jump in with bonus rewards and a clean slate.
While The Legend of Three Kingdoms Online is technically playable outside of Taiwan, it does not support English. For many of us, this will be one of those obscure, region-locked collaborations we’ll have to enjoy from afar through secondhand footage.
