Lunar Distribution has revealed our first detailed look at Udon Entertainment’s new on-going Mega Man X comic series, complete with four variant covers. They’ve also shared the official solicitation:
The X-generation of Mega Man gets its own comics series! The on-going series will be written by Daniel Arsenault with art by Jeffrey Cruz. Cover A is illustrated by Cruz, Cover B is Edwin Huang, Cover C is Hanzo Steinbach, and Cover D is Royce Southerland.
Mega Man X #0 is currently slated to arrive in-stores on January 14th, 2026.
It's a big no for me. I don't like how Udon is handling this vs Archie comics. Way too many variants, not to mention the as yet announced store/artist exclusive variants as well the other variants stores will put in randomized loot bags. I'll just wait for the tradeback if the writing is any good.
