Grandista MegaMan.EXE Now Available to Pre-Order

Banpresto’s Grandista MegaMan.EXE is headed to Japanese arcades and prize machines this May. Fortunately, fans outside Japan won’t have to miss out. The figure is now available for pre-order through Amazon and Big Bad Toy Store, with shipments expected to begin in September and June, respectively.

As previously reported, this non-articulated figure stands approximately 24 cm (about 9.4 inches) tall, making it slightly larger than the earlier classic series Mega Man Grandista release.

Banpresto has also subtly hinted that additional Grandista figures may be on the way, so if you’re a fan of this one, we’ll be keeping an ear to the ground for what comes next.

Jada Toys Mega Man Kith Variant Revealed

Fashion and lifestyle brand Kith has partnered with Capcom, Hasbro and Jada Toys to release a line of collaboration figures featuring Mega Man, Ryu, Captain America, and Wolverine. The figures will go on sale Friday, November 14th at 11AM EST directly from Kith (online and in-store).

The Mega Man figure is a recolor of Jada’s Wave 1 release, featuring a new color palette and the Kith logo emblazoned on his chest. All of the original accessories are included, though the Buster Shot piece appears to have a slightly different hue. The packaging also sports Kith’s signature branding.

For diehard collectors, this might be one to watch for, as Kith collaborations like this tend to sell out very quickly. Once they are gone, they are gone for good.

Another Look at Jada Toys Mega Man Wave 3 (Update)

Spotted at Jada Toys' WonderCon booth (via The Figure Report), we have a fresh look at their Wave 3 Mega Man figures. These have seen significant progress since their last showcase, now featuring finalized packaging and a first glimpse at their respective accessories.

  • Mega Man: A helmetless variant that includes a Met, a smiling helmeted headpiece, a Mega Buster, a Charge effect piece, and two alternate hand parts.
  • Bubble Man: An alternate headpiece, three hand parts, and a Bubble Lead effect piece.
  • Wood Man: An alternate headpiece, two hand parts, and a Leaf Shield effect piece.

Bubble Man and Wood Man’s packaging is a pleasant surprise, highlighting their status as the bulkiest Robot Masters in Jada’s lineup yet. If you plan to keep them unboxed, you might need to rearrange your display shelf to make room.

There's no word yet on when Wave 3 will hit stores, but we're keeping an ear to the ground.UPDATE: In an interview with The Figure Report, Jada Toys' lead designer, Juhn, confirmed that Wave 3 is essentially complete, with pre-orders expected to go live in time for San Diego Comic-Con. Juhn also hinted at a possible SDCC exclusive and news on additional figures. Additionally, they have a year and a half’s worth of unannounced Mega Man toys planned.

Sega Reveals Rockman Luminasta Figure

Capcom and Sega's UFO catcher partnership continues with the reveal of a new Rockman Luminasta figure. Based on his appearance in Rockman 11, this figure will be available in Japanese UFO catchers later this summer, Sega announced.

Sega’s Luminasta line features 6- to 7-inch non-posable figures inspired by characters from anime, manga, and video games, offered as redemption prizes in amusement centers. Fortunately for collectors, these figures are often available through online retailers like Big Bad Toy Store.  They’re also reasonably priced, usually going for $23 to $40, depending on where you look.

Sega promises more details soon, but for now, it’s hard not to wonder—could more Rockman characters be next in line for the Luminasta treatment? The announcement tweet refers to it as "Rockman Luminasta 'Rockman'," which suggests that 'Rockman Luminasta' is a dedicated sub-line rather than a one-off figure.
