MDLX Cut Man, Zero Colored Prototype Shown at All Japan Model & Hobby Show

Threezero’s MDLX Mega Man line continues to expand with the reveal of its latest addition at the 2025 All Japan Model and Hobby Show: Cut Man. Marking the company’s first Robot Master in the series, the figure is still in the prototype stage but already looks sharp. A release date has yet to be announced.

Also making a return appearance is MDLX Zero, previously shown in May. Now fully painted, the figure showcases a more polished and complete look. As with Cut Man, no release or availability details have been shared.

  1. Yes, I love to see more robot masters! I can't wait for the possibilities for photography; I want to get my hands on him so that I can do some really enjoyable dynamic lighting. Shiny is a toy photographer's best friend.

  3. Zero I expected. Cutman coming from left field? Did not expect that. I'll take
    It.

    1. I dunno, cutman is a pretty common one relatively speaking. cutman and airman appear pretty often for whatever reason.

    2. We don't know who they planned to make. After protoman and zero were revealed I never would've guessed they would tackle him at all. Whether it's cause, of how easy it is to make them, memes, or whatever it's always shocking to see them tackle robot masters in some way. It would've been even more surprising if they were making roll or auto or duo. That would be amazing.

  4. Cutman has the closest body type to classic MegaMan so only a few alternative parts were required I wouldn't bet on them making more masters as it would require actual effort and worst of all money.

  5. They both look pretty good. I wonder what scale they're at?

  6. Even though it’s just a headswap for Rock, Cut Man looks pretty good. Really like the shape of the shears for some reason. And I’d rather have this than another special weapon color with an inaccurate effects part.

Zero actually looks kinda immaculate. Who'd a thunk the fully painted figure of a character with a lot of detail would look good? :P

  8. (Edited repost). I think they just made a little mistake with the face from Zero, like, >apparently< it's supposed to get closer to what we saw in the x3's designed look, right? But the body And its proportions and details seem like something that is directly inspired by Maverick Hunter X and X5 onwards, with a more solid style, why does the expression seem so much closer to the first games? I don't think it's completely bad, it's just a detail that bothered me in a way, I hope the final version turns out well.

    1. I think it's based on x4. I'm sure it'll be changed or look better in person. Then again you could always go to their account and let them know to try to change things as they look off.
