Yeah, I forgot. This one is so low on my radar I keep forgetting it's a thing. I don't have the time or energy to replay these games 7 times...
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to it. I wishlisted this on Steam as soon as it was available, and now I have a solid release date which is all I wanted. It'd be nice revisiting 2 of these three games and seeing if SF2 gets any QoL that makes me interested in it too.
ReplyDeleteWhat I think they should have done tho is instead of segregating the versions of these games on a main menu to inflate the "value" of the collection as 7 games in one, they should have consolidated them into their respective game titles (e.g SF with Dragon, Leo and Pegasus within it as selectable paths). They should have it so each game enables players to hop between version via file management within that entry so that any social trading system could be fulfilled offline/by a single player and within a single copy of the Collection. If not for better design and pro-consumer reasons, than just to distance themselves from that garbage FOMO gimmick of separating content to drive up sales from social pressures or double dipping driven by "completionist" tendencies.
Also this would just be neat but crossplay would be nice. All of these are pipe dreams tho.
Well i haven't forgotten.
ReplyDeleteIt is an overstatement to say this collection contains 7 games. As time went on and on, each new entry of the BN/SF shared less and less changes among different versions. Say what you want about MMBN 4, but that game was the one which mostly introduced differences between its two versions (Blue Moon and Red Sun). By the time we reached SF3, aside from main transformation and exclusive giga chips, story and scenario wises, there was practically no other reason to acquire another version over the other rather than personal taste.
ReplyDeletelooking forward to playing 1 for story and sf3 because i love that game still not sure to get it on steam or my switch 2 though
