The Grand Mega Man/Rockman Merchandise Cheat Sheet

There's a bunch of Mega Man/Rockman products coming our way within the next few months. From books and figures, to soundtracks and games, it's easy to forget what's coming out when. To quell the confusion, I've complied a handy-dandy cheat sheet, of sorts, to help you keep track of these releases, broken down into categories. Check it out after the jump!

Books and Manga
Notes: Megamix vol. 2 and ZX vol. 1 mangas were supposed to ship out earlier this month, but have seen a delay. Amazon says both will be shipping within a matter of weeks, while UDON has yet to confirm when exactly they're coming out.

A reprint of the Mega Man: Zero Official Complete Works art book is now available. Amazon looks to be your best bet at securing a copy at a low cost.

The third volume of Hitoshi Ariga's Rockman Gigamix series is expected to be hitting Japan sometime in June. A specific release date has not been revealed, but if the past is any indication, it'll be announced on Ariga's official blog.

Soundtracks
Notes: Details about the Mythos album are scarce but early reports indicate it's being produced in honor of the Zero Collection and contains newly arranged tracks from the series. The CD is also being included in the Remastered Tracks BOX package, a boxed set of all four Remastered Track albums. Mythos, by itself, has a suggested retail price of 2,000 Yen, or roughly $22.19 USD. The box set is pretty expensive running at 9,800 Yen or $108 USD.

Figures and Models
Notes: Being trading art figures, you'll never know which character you'll end up with -- it's entirely random. The 6~10cm individual figures (11 in all) will run ¥650 ($7.19 US) a pop, or ¥6140 ($67.98) for a boxed set of 12. No guarantee the boxed set will contain each character, mind you.

Kotobukiya's highly anticipated Rockman model kit is set for a late September release. See this post for a list of retailers that plan on carrying it.

Last but not least, Jazwares plans on releasing two more Mega Man figures in their Urban Vinyl series: Cut Man and Elec Man. Our local Toys R Us informant Banjo says these two are listed in the stores' master database for an unspecified 2010 release. I'll keep you posted.

Game
Alas, only one Mega Man game this season. Zero Collection debuts in the US on June 8th, with Japan and Europe following suit on June 10th and the 11th respectively.

Misc.
We haven't heard a peep out of FAB Starpoint's line of Mega Man merchandise. 8-bit Mega Man themed wallets, bags, notebooks and planners were supposed to release in early 2010.

  1. WOW...more than half of these items I'm not even interested in...bummer. Oh well at least it's something good for the fans out there. I mean I'm a fan too but not the hardcore kind.

  2. Speaking of the Mega Man ZX manga. What the heck is going on with that thing? Is there actually an official release date? Borders.com said it was suppose to release May 4th, but it's been on backorder for forever. And I've really been looking forward to it... =/

  4. I really need to get someone from Japan to order the Zero soundtrack boxed set, or does anyone know of a English site that will carry it?

  7. Oh man yes Gigamix 3. I'm very excited to see where Ariga goes with the fight against the Stardroids/Space Rulers. Sunstar/Sungod has yet to show up and Gigamix 2 was left on such a cliffhanger.

Ha ha maybe it's a bit too much to hope that the DCN will square off against the alien androids but it makes sense considering they're some of the very few left standing. A Diveman versus Neptune fight would be so thrilling!

I hope there's an update with dates for the Elec and Cut Urban Vinyl figures soon.

    Great list!

  8. Gonna nab some of this, starting with Megamix 2 because 1 is lonely after the delay.

    @Skaarg & Anonymous: try play-asia.com?
