You Can Now Play Rockman EXE: Battle Chip Stadium at Home via Emulation

Three years ago, GoodTofuFriday and the BCS preservation team set out to extract Rockman EXE: Battle Chip Stadium from its native, aging arcade hardware. While the game was successfully and safely ripped, it wasn’t in a playable state.

But today, I’m pleased to report that the game is not only fully playable on an emulator, but available to download right now!

First off, grab the latest build of Demul and the Battle Chip Stadium here.

After extracting the Demul folder to your PC, open the ROMs folder and paste the game there after unpacking it from the zip file. There’s a chance Windows Defender may block the app from running — that’s fine. Just select Run Anyway.

The Configuration page will open, and it should automatically populate the required information:

You’re almost done. Next, set up your controls. In Demul, go to Config, then Controls. Select Joy 1 and customize everything to your preference. This is the recommended keyboard layout:

Now you're ready to play! Click File, then Run Medalusion. Select Rockman EXE Battle Chip Stadium Ver. 3.0.0 and you’re set. Once the game finishes loading and the title screen appears, press the Coin button to start.

If you want to learn how to play, pick up some general tips, or download the optional Chip Reader Program, check out the Rockman EXE Collector's Discord.

Huge congratulations and credit to GoodTofuFriday, Scout Master Demi, and the Collector's Discord for helping preserve this unique piece of Mega Man history for everyone.
