Mega Man Series Sales Top 44 Million Units

Capcom released their Q3 fiscal 2025 financial results today, reporting that the Mega Man series has reached 44 million units sold as of December 31, 2025. In comparison, Capcom’s annual report published on May 13 listed the series at 43 million units sold as of March 31, 2025.

Over the past four years, the franchise has grown from 38 million to 44 million units, reflecting steady momentum driven by Legacy Collections, sustained evergreen marketing, cross-media collaborations, and ongoing merchandise. With Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection launching on March 27 this year and Mega Man: Dual Override planned for 2027, things are only set to get better.

Look forward to more exciting news throughout the year!

  3. Good, the chances of things like X9, ZX3, and L3 or even new series between ZX and Legends are looking better as time passes.

  4. I really hope to see X9 one day, but maybe Capcom should try to finish ZX and Dash first, if they ever move a little bit away from the classic series...

  5. Perhaps the real reason I've become so attuned to Mega Man is because he represents a time when the game industry was a lot healthier, when growth was steady and sustainable instead of studios self-destructing by perusing live service microtransaction gold rushes.

That's why the next mainline Mega Man will always be one of the few games that's safe to look forward to. It'll either be great or it won't come out at all.

  6. The Mega Man series influence me as a artist since i like drawing manga art, the Battle Network series and Star Force series influence me especially and when they haven't announced a new Mega Man game i was ready to quit drawing manga style and try drawing semi-realistically but now that they announced a new mainline Mega Man game i think i will keep my old manga drawing style after all and make some small improvements on it.

    1. Battle Network can be fun, they are good games, but I will never be convinced they are Mega Man games. ESPECIALLY true for Star Force. That collection is just going in a box. I'm probably never going to play it. I quit playing the Battle Network collection less than half way through. I lost all interest in it. And I really don't want to replay BN4 six more times...

    2. W6atch the show was more than enough participation. I wouldn't mind another Comman Mission game. That would be the only way I could enjoy another turn based Megaman game.
