Rockman X DiVE Introduces "Dark Code Coins" and Teases "Swimsuit Pallette"

Starting today Rockman X DiVE has a new in-game currency: Dark Code Coins. For the next week, players will be able to obtain a small quantity of Dark Code Coins for free and gain even more by activating the Dark Code Capsule. The coins can be exchanged for characters and weapons afterwards.

What's more? Swimsuit Pallette was teased as the next summer character in the Summer Treasure Hunt stage.

Find all the details after the break!

The primary way to get Dark Code Coins is via the Dark Code Capsule and the store. When it comes to the capsule, you can get 30 free coins as one-time free draw and by spending 100 EM you can get 30 coins, 1000 EM to get 300 coins or 1000 EM (Paid) to get 450 coins.

The paid EM option has a 50% discount in the first 10-draw. Additionally, the developers will be sending 20 coins daily to your in-game mail until July 30.

You can also buy a special pack with Dark Code Coins, Elemental Metal and Lucky Tokens from the "Direct Purchase" store which cost 99,50€ or $117.26.

Dark Code Element Metal Pack (Ver.Χ)

  • Dark Code Coin x300
  • Element Metal(paid) x3290,
  • Element Metal(non-paid) x3310.
  • Lucky Tokens x3290

The developers promise that there will be alternative ways to get more coins. These include participating in special events to commemorate specific festivals, taking part in promotions or activating other special Capsules.

One thing to note is that the Dark Code Coins don't expire; they will remain in your inventory no matter if the Dark Coin Capsule and store are open or not.

Now, what can you buy with Dark Code Coins? A rather big selection of S Rank characters and weapons. You have the option to buy 10, 20 or 40 memories which cost as follows:

  • 10 Memories for 2100 Dark Code Coins (limited purchase to 2)
  • 20 Memories for 3900 Dark Code Coins (limited purchase to 1)
  • 40 Memories for 7500 Dark Code Coins (unlimited)

There is a wide selection of characters and weapons, from Absolute Zero to the Icicle Fang. 23 characters and 32 weapons total.

As it stands, you need to spend 25k EM to get the necessary memories to unlock a new character or weapon. While players will receive free coins when the capsule is live (with even more down the road by doing different things as stated above), this largely seems to be aimed at players that are willing to spend real money for specific characters or weapons.

Things may change down the line, though. We don't know how generous the developer will be, but the road to unlock a character or weapon seems rather steep for free-to-play players.

You can check all the guidelines in detail here. The Dark Code Capsule closes on July 28 at 11:59(UTC+8) and the store on July 30 at 23:59 (UTC+8).

During the Summer Treasure Hunt stage, both Swimsuit Tron and Swimsuit Ferham make an appearance. Ferham, interestingly enough, makes a not-so-subtle reference to Pallette (pictured). If you recall Pallette was fuming during the Burning Bride of June event because she didn't get a "bridal gown" like Alia and Layer. Now, it looks like it might be her time in the spotlight soon!

Lastly, if you want to check out the Summer Treasure Hunt stage and story on top of listening the new Bubble Crab Stage Theme remix, you can do so from the videos below.

Let us know what you think about the Dark Code Coins and Swimsuit Pallette arriving to the game to finally complete the swimsuit trio from the Mega Man X Legacy Collection's X-Challenge mode!
