Tron Bonne Set to Appear in Onimusha Soul

Capcom Japan has announced a special promotion for Onimusha Soul, their browser-based strategy RPG. A number of classic heroines will be showing up as recruitable characters, each redesigned to fit the game's feudal Japan setting.

On March 28, the one and only Tron Bonne is poised to join the cast. She appears on the far left in the image above, next to Gotcha Force's Usagi. A pair of Servbots appear in the top banner on the game's official site.

More art of Tron in her feudal duds will probably show up closer to the 28th. It's certainly an interesting take on the character!

  1. You can see the Servbots in the bigger image on the site you linked in the news :O

  3. Is that a mobile phone card game like Minna to Capcom All Stars?
Would like to see the art of Tron and the Servbots, like the Chun-Li sample, but as nothing surfaced yet from the "Minna to" game...

  4. Fuck Tron Bonne, I'm more happy to see Asagi from Gotcha Force and Kay of Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney Investigations.

  5. LEGENDS NEVER DIE, THEY JUST APPEAR AS CHEAP CAMEOS TO REMIND PEOPLE OF WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN :D

  6. @Anonymous 2:28: Legends never die cause they never lived in the first place, but Gotcha Force!!? Praise its name.

  7. Gotcha Force?! Never thought Capcom would actually remember that!

  8. The fact the majority of the girls pretty much gain less clothing as they level up worries me how Tron and Kay may end up >_> I mean C-Viper pretty much has no top at G7...

I will say though... there's a lot of names there that I haven't heard of in years/since TvC... Kinda glad Capcom got something right for once. Still too many Street Fighter reps though...

  9. I heard that Gatcha Force is a kind of "pet game" for Capcom, even if it's not very acknownledged by people.

That aside, lemme recap. From left to right, there's:

    - Tron Bonne (Megaman Legends)
    - Usagi Kurokawa (Gatcha Force)
    - Devilotte (Cyberbots)
    - Ada Wong (Resident Evil)
    - Kay Faraday (Ace Attorney Investigations)
    - Maya Fey (Ace Attorney)

    Had I get it right?

  10. Oh, drat, I said "Gatcha Force", but it's actually "Gotcha Force"... My bad; the name "Gatchaman" came to my head and I ended up writing worng.

  11. As the only Saki fan in existence, I need to hype her extra-hard.

    WOOHOO!!!

    Also Akira from Rival Schools!

I have no idea what kind of game this is, and it's likely we'll never see it in the US. Guess I'll just be glad these characters get used somewhere at all now days.

  12. Nice! :D Love the outfit Tron got (and that fact that a Gotcha Force character was included).

  13. I feel like she's already had more cameos than she deserved. I'd much rather have a Mega Man, or even a Robot Master.

  14. Tron looks pretty good in that style, though I wonder how they'll justify the Servbots (wooden clockwork, maybe?). Also, I'm a bit disappointed at the lack of Breath of Fire characters, but not surprised.

  15. @ 8:26 Anon:
Considering this expansion only has women, Berkana would be a great addition against Tessa. And Maybe some Battle Network characters like Fahran and Tamako.

  16. That's sooo Capcom.

Developing the laziest game titles possible.

Focus on female characters to expand the merchandise in the "Capcom Girls" line. (*because lonely 30-year-old Japanese men are their core demographic*)

And the relentless choice to include no more than one representative from the MegaMan franchise for mass Xover titles, but always from the wrong series'.

This game has everything I hate about Capcom... well, the Ultimate Gold Edition will anyway.

  17. @ Rockonymous: So you'd like innocent, underage Roll to be potentially sexualized?

  18. Usagi!? Too powerful!

We love Gotcha Force Capcom, and want more of it! Even a port to fix so much of the slow down (and a few other issues) would be awesome.

  19. I agree with Wandering Mind: at least have a Nina & Katt in it! Or even Momo & Ursula!

  20. Anonymous 12:29: That's funny how you came to Roll, when there's Splash Woman from classic, Alia, layer, Iris, Marino,Berkana and more that are womanly, but you went with "Roll". I wonder who really has the problem here. Also Tron (although doubt the innocent part for the way she dresses and acts) is also underage if you didn't know.

Also F*** Street Fighter. they have like 6 reps and BoF none?

  21. @ 8:37 AM Anon: Oh I've seen that name around. Said Roll should have been the rep. I know my facts.
