Rockman ZX and ZX Advent Manga Now Available Digitally

Shin Ogino's Rockman ZX and ZXA manga are now available to purchase digitally from select Japanese storefronts. Both volumes of the 2020 reprints can be purchased from select Japanese storefronts like Amazon Japan and Book Walker for 1,870 yen a piece (roughly $13,85 or 13,56€).

The ZX manga was originally published in 2007 by Enterbrain and later reprinted in 2020 by Fukkan. The reprint featured brand-new material and the ZX Advent manga which never saw light outside its initial serializtion within the pages of Famitsu DS+Wii magazine. 

With these books, Rockman's digital library continues to grow. Ogino's works joins Iwamoto's Rockman X manga, Hitoshi Ariga's Megamix, Gigamix and Maniax, Koji Izuki's Rockman 8 and Rockman & Forte manga, and Takamisaki's and Miho Asada's Rockman EXE manga.

Hopefully Rockman 7 and Ryo Takamisaki Rockman Works SSR will be next! 

Rockman ZX Characters Teased for Rockman X DiVE

Teased today via Capcom Taiwan's Official Twitter account, characters from the ZX Series are finally coming to Rockman X DiVE! Read all about it after the break!

"Rockman Zero & ZX SOUND BOX" Booklet Translation

Released on March 25, 2020, the Rockman Zero & ZX Sound Box is a 6-CD set containing 208 tracks from Rockman Zero 1 to 4, Rockman ZX and Rockman ZX Advent. Each disc contains the original uncompressed source music.

Packed in a beautiful digi-stack with new artwork drawn by Toru Nakayama and Makoto Yabe, this box set is close to perfection, if not for the glaring omission of the "Reploid Remixes". Nevertheless it's a great addition to your music collection. Today, we are happy to bring you the booklet translation thanks to our friends Sidier and Rock Miyabi (who provided the scans). The Making of the Rockman ZX Series Part 5: ZXA Character Designs, DASH Connections

Rockman Unity took an extra week to publish the last part of Makoto Yabe's interview about "The Making of the ZX series", but it's here, translated once again by Sidier. The Making of the Rockman ZX Series Part 4: Character Design

After a small delay, we are back with a complete translation for the fourth part in Makoto Yabe's "Making of ZX Series" interview conducted by Rockman Unity. This time Ucchy and Makoto Yabe discus the origins and design philosophy behind the most notable characters in the first game.

Part 5 was scheduled to be published on March 25th; however, the original blog post was edited and the date was changed to a mere "coming soon". Fukkan, the Japanese publisher that focuses on reprinting books by popular demand and brought us many reprints of Rockman mangas over the years, is reprinting Shin Ogino's Rockman ZX manga next year. Find all the details after the break!

Rockman ZX Soundsketch: ZX Gigamix Booklet and Drama Tracks Translation

Released back in April 2008, this is the last soundtrack Inti Creates released for the Rockman ZX series and the first to feature the company's trademark drama tracks. This album is features remixed tracks from both games in the series: Rockman ZX and Rockman ZX Advent. It includes five drama tracks and three all-new tracks ("Flow of the Times", "Freebirds" and "Battle Giga Mixture"). Additionally, there's two vocal themes – "Believe in Myself" sung by the Japanese voice actress of Grey (Hiromi Hirata) which is Grey's character theme but previously was only instrumental (called "Destiny" in ZXA Tunes) and "Be One", sung by Ash's voice actress, Ami Koshimizu which was previously sung by CAO.

The drama tracks have been available in English for a couple of years now, which you can watch right here. Today, though, we have a brand-new translation of the soundtrack's booklet after the break below. Both the drama track translation and the booklet translation were made possible by the hard work of our friend Sidier!

Rockman ZX Advent Soundtrack: ZXA Tunes Booklet Translation

Released back in August 2007, ZXA Tunes was the physical release of Rockman ZX Advent remastered soundtrack. The album came on two CDs and even featured the 8-bit soundtrack from "Rockman a (antique)" mini-game as a bonus. Despite Inti Creates' tradition of including drama tracks with their Rockman soundtracks, the second album in the ZX series doesn't – instead, it comes with four vocal tracks.

Rockman ZX Soundtrack: ZX Tunes Booklet Translation

Released back in October, 2006, ZX Tunes is the physical release of the Rockman ZX remastered soundtrack divided into two discs, one for each hero of the game: an Aile disc and a Vent disc. The soundtrack also includes the game's image song "Innocence" sung by the Japanese lyricist and vocalist CAO (Kaori Nakamura). One of the peculiarities of this album is that it comes with eight different CD covers by artists that worked on the Rockman series from Hitoshi Ariga to Toru Nakayama, among other well known names.
