Mega Man: Start, the Secret Level episode inspired by the classic series, runs just over five minutes, making it the shortest entry in the Prime Video anthology. Previous concept art and materials have already hinted that it was meant to be longer. Now, adding to that evidence, newly discovered material reveals a cut sequence set after the episode’s ending, showing Mega Man's struggle to protect the city from a rampaging Robot Master.
At E3 2010, Nintendo unveiled the Nintendo 3DS, offering attendees their first chance to experience the handheld in action. The show floor featured a selection of interactive tech demos built to demonstrate the system’s glasses-free stereoscopic 3D capabilities. Among these was the Arika-developed Classic Games, a proof-of-concept auto-demo that reimagined several NES titles—Mega Man 2 included—with stereoscopic 3D display.
While only a few of the titles featured in Classic Games were eventually released as part of the 3D Classics line on the eShop, Mega Man 2 was not among them. However, thanks to the preservation work of the 3DS Challenge Team and video documentation by James-Money, the Mega Man 2 tech demo, alongside several other E3 2010 software, has been recovered and can now be launched on actual hardware. While Mega Man 2 is not playable, it offers a glimpse of what a 3D Classics version might have been.
You can find and download the files from the Internet Archive. To play these demos on a real 3DS, you’ll need an EmuNAND setup and a few other essential files to get things running smoothly. All of that is covered here!

Lunar Distribution has revealed our first detailed look at Udon Entertainment’s new on-going Mega Man X comic series, complete with four variant covers. They’ve also shared the official solicitation:
The X-generation of Mega Man gets its own comics series! The on-going series will be written by Daniel Arseneault with art by Jeffrey Cruz. Cover A is illustrated by Cruz, Cover B is Edwin Huang, Cover C is Hanzo Steinbach, and Cover D is Royce Southerland.
Mega Man X #0 is currently slated to arrive in-stores on January 14th, 2026.
To set itself apart from the standard edition, the deluxe hardcover will feature a foil cover, nine trading cards with character bios by Ian Flynn, and a folded poster. Like the standard edition, it includes Archie Comics' Mega Man issues #1–12 with all variant covers, plus an all-new 7-page short story by Ian Flynn and Ryan Jampole.

Hiya Toys has confirmed that the debut figure in their new Mega Man X line, the Exquisite Basic Series X, is set to release in Q4 2026. That’s still a ways off, but in the meantime they’ve shared several new images of the figure in action along with some intriguing details. Magnetic feet, anyone?
Amazon, Simon & Schuster, and Barnes & Noble have opened product pages for Mega Man Timelines Volume 1, which appears to collect all five Mega Man Timelines stories in a hardcover format. It’s currently scheduled to release on July 21, 2026, for $39.99. No cover art is available at this time.
Unlike the Archie Comics hardcover collection we covered yesterday, this book hasn’t been officially announced by Udon, so details could still change. It’s not up for preorder yet, but you can add it to your wishlist for now.

While a firm release date hasn’t been announced yet, Capcom seems to be taking steps toward that reveal, as Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is now available to wishlist across the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and Steam. Each listing includes a fresh set of screenshots, with one in particular being a direct-feed image of the 3D Star Force Mega Man who appears on the game’s main menu. We also have our first look at Star Force 3's Custom Screen, which has been updated with HD assets.
A Nintendo eShop page isn’t live yet, though it may go up later this week, as the eShop typically updates on Thursdays. We'll keep you posted.

Back in April, Udon Entertainment announced plans to reprint Archie Comics’ Mega Man series in oversized hardcovers. While pre-orders aren’t open yet, Amazon has opened up a page for the first volume, Mega Man Adventures: A Hero is Built, and confirms it will include a brand-new bonus short story by Ian Flynn and Ryan Jampole.

UPDATE (11/5): Per Lunar Distribution, both books have been further delayed to November 19th.
Mega Man ZX Timelines was originally scheduled for release this week, with Mega Man Legends Timelines set to follow shortly after. However, according to Lunar Distribution, Udon Entertainment’s primary distributor, both issues have experienced a last-minute delay and are now slated for release on Wednesday, November 5th. While the delay isn’t major, the silver lining is that fans should be able to pick up both issues on the same day.

At the 2025 All Japan Model and Hobby Show, reputable model kit enthusiast x_ledur met Shohei Chiba, the lead planner behind Kotobukiya’s Mega Man kits. Though busy, Chiba took a moment to chat and confirmed that the mysterious kit teased on January 31, 2024, is “still alive.” This is the first official mention of the project since its reveal.
The silhouette has sparked plenty of debate among fans. While guesses range from Copy X to Command Mission X or even something from X DiVE, none seem to fit the shape exactly. I’ve also confirmed that Kotobukiya’s license to produce Mega Man model kits, originally granted in 2010, only covers characters that appear in the official games. This means that, unless the terms have changed, the new kit can’t be an original Kotobukiya creation—it has to be based on an existing in-game character.
All we can continue to do now is wait for Kotobukiya or Capcom to finally pull back the curtain.
Threezero’s MDLX Mega Man line continues to expand with the reveal of its latest addition at the 2025 All Japan Model and Hobby Show: Cut Man. Marking the company’s first Robot Master in the series, the figure is still in the prototype stage but already looks sharp. A release date has yet to be announced.

The original Grandista figure debuted in Japan in 2020 as a redemption prize before later seeing individual releases in North America and overseas. While it’s still available from select retailers, new stock appears to have dried up some time ago, making this new version seem poised to take its place.

New York Comic Con has kicked off, giving us a clearer look at three of Hiya Toys’ upcoming Mega Man X figures: X, Falcon Armor X, and Zero. Though still in the prototype stage, we now have a better sense of each character’s finer details and included accessories.
Not the clearest photo, but it’s all we’ve got for now. UPDATE: Better image added! Spotted by Toys Lab at Wonderfest Shanghai 2025, Hiya Toys has a new Falcon Armor X figure on display. Like X, Zero, and Sigma, it’s 1/12 scale and features the same articulation range.

Via the Mega Man and Rockman Toys & Collectibles Facebook page, we have a brand-new look at Hiya Toys' 1/12 X figure. Currently on display at Wonderfest Shanghai, this is our first look at the figure in color following its appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con.
No further details were shared at the show beyond what’s already known: it’s part of the "Exquisite Basic" line, which means a solid range of articulation and a selection of accessories. Confirmed inclusions are multiple hand options, face plates, and X-Buster effect parts.
